  1. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:57 PM) Speed and defense. That is how to get a big hit. It would be great if we used our speed and played good defense. That's why we're going to lose this game.
  2. There's game. Mark Teahen, why did you bother to try?
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:55 PM) To me, it was the exact same situation. Gordon Beckham isn't Mickey Mantle (yet) and Juan Pierre isn't Rickey Henderson. And Lou Marson isn't even Gordon Beckham.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:53 PM) Somebody said Manny Acta wouldn't bunt. The exact f***ing same thing. All managers bunt in that situation. Believe it. Pierre is faster than Valbuena. And you have freaking Lou Marson up.
  5. Mark Teahen needs to take some Physics classes and learn about angular momentum.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:48 PM) Sadly, on paper, it isn't. Which is good because they'll revert to being mediocre sooner or later.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:45 PM) Their bullpen has made us look awful this series. And their bullpen is teh suck.
  8. The bottom of our lineup is filled with automatic outs.
  9. We're running out of arms. Quickly offense, win it somehow.
  10. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:38 PM) Great piece of hitting by Peralta. That's twice now.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) It didn't work, so it's the wrong move. I still think it's on the players more than Oz but since it didn't work, Oz gets an F for the move. Even if it worked, it would have been a bad move. You never give up an out when you have a guy who has a 75-80% chance of stealing a base. That's like making a guy who's hitting .850 bunt.
  12. QUOTE (nastymasty21 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:30 PM) the problem with this ozzie ball is no one is capable of getting 2 out hits Our team sucks at that.
  13. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:26 PM) and THAT'S why we don't bunt. Exactly. Pierre comes in if he steals second and Gordon moves him over.
  14. Pierre has a 80-85% chance of stealing that base. Gordon has a 90% chance of getting that bunt down. I'd take my 80-85% then I'd take a bunt to move Pierre to third. Giving up an out with a guy still on second isn't smart, you still need a hit to get him in.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) Calm down and tell me why a bunt is so bad there. We need one f***ing run. Get serious people. It's a decent call. If it was a slow base runner, I got nothing against it. But it's Juan Pierre. He was brought here to steal bases and he's been on three times today, yet he hasn't even attempted a steal yet.
  16. Why don't you RUN PIERRE?!?!? He's one of the fastest runners in this league, Perez has a slow leg kick and Marson is an average throwing arm. You NEED to RUN there!
  17. OMG, a line drive! Did I just see that? Now, RUN!
  18. QUOTE (johnnymick @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:16 PM) and then steals second. And then scores the winning run.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:16 PM) Williams is up, presumably for Choo and Hafner. Not again...
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:13 PM) PIerre's going to score the winning run!! At least Carlos is up again.
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:12 PM) wow - generous call On a nastiness scale, that deserves to be called a strike.
