  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) He didn't? Jeez. You are a tough cookie. He just wasn't very good. He gave us some good moments like his catch versus the Twins. Might as well cheer him. It's a class act by our crowd!!! I just didn't think enough people liked him for a cheer that big. He didn't try hard back in 06 and 07. Remember the not going to the AFL thing? Yeah...
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:29 PM) We're winning so big ... he tried hard with the Sox ... just didn't work out. Might as well cheer him. It's called "class" by our fans. WE need more class in sports today. He didn't try all that hard in the beginning of his career...
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:25 PM) It's funny how some nights we get the pitching and hitting and look like playoff team. Others like that road trip we just suck. I guess that's the definition of a .500 team. But we are so Jeckyll/Hyde it's amazing. No, that's the definition of an underachieving mediocre team. WTF? Why does Brian Anderson get this huge applause? Seriously?
  4. Nice fastball. He kind of looks like Clayton Richard up there with his big build while wearing 54.
  5. Freddy's last three starts... 18.1 innings, 15 hits, 7 runs, 7 ER, 5 walks, 14 Ks, 3.44 ERA, 1.105 WHIP. All of this against two of the best offenses in baseball. He's back...
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:10 PM) That was reminiscent of former Sox ss Alan Bannister back in the day. Lexi throws it away. It was Nix. Another QS from Freddy. I'm pretty confident about him as our 5th starter next year.
  7. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:04 PM) Is it possible kotsay isn't awful? Maybe he just was in a bad division for hitters last yr Kotsay was pretty good with Atlanta last year. He just sucked with Boston.
  8. Now we're putting in some replacements. Nix at third. Wise in right. Kotsay moves to first. Lillibridge in at SS.
  9. Who imploded this time? Last I saw, it was tied at 1.
  10. Francona's replaced 8 of his players in the lineup. Everybody except Gonzalez is out.
  11. If we play like we do tonight for the next twenty games, some of you might have to follow up on what you've said.
  12. QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:23 PM) This is not a criticism of Hawk or Stoney, but sometimes the other team's announcers report differently. I'm watching the Boston telecast, and they pointed out that Rios has trouble with outside pitches and Quentin runs like his right foot is still troubling him. Not that this is newsworthy, but Chicago announcers don't seem st say stuff like that. Cause they're part of the organization. You think Kenny will be happy if Hawk goes on to tell us that Quentin isn't really healthy? Of course, watching him run will tell you that he's definitely not 100%, but they don't need to broadcast that. I also find the Boston team quite boring...
  13. Freddy's in-line for his first win. He's certainly pitched well enough these past three starts to deserve it.
  14. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:49 PM) Twins lose. A game back of second place. Wooo!!!!
  15. Freddy's been on the bench for a while these past two innings.
  16. I'm feeling a lot better about our chances of winning this game now.
  17. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:40 PM) 14 hits in 4 innings, 1 hr, this is fun to watch Thus, we should build a team that is more oriented to do this instead of the one that lives on the three run homer.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) Who is this team and what have they done with the White Sox? This is what you would expect from the Red Sox...
  19. Hitting frenzy... Save some for the rest of the series.
  20. My question is - WHY COULDN'T THEY DO THIS LAST WEEK? WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  21. QUOTE (tommy @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:33 PM) Q with a sac fly, 8-1. 2 out. About time he came through with a man on third.
