why does every yankees game draw so well? is it cuz theres more yankee fans here and they go and fill up the park? or is it getting to see a team that won 25 championships in their history but none inthe recent past. i dont get it
I heard cheers for A-Rod. It must be the former.

And took HGH.
He's on pace for around 25 homers this year. He's never hit that many before...
The stadium has something to do with it.

The show has those clips of big plays/games that run as music. The Yankees have one of those....all of them aren't really that good.
That was in 08 The Show.

The worst part of MLB 09 the show
What does that and the Yankees announcers have anything to do with each other?
Vasgersian does The Show.

Is he the "An Aaaaa-bomb, from Aaaaa-Rod" douche, or am I confusing him with one of their other crappy broadcasters?
It's amazing that the wealthiest, winningest, and most-storied franchise in MLB has such crap in the booth.
I like the "see-ya" guy.
Their radio broadcaster is hilarious too. He's the one who goes, "THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN"

This is odd, mlb.tv is sticking me with the Yankees broadcast. It always tends to be the home team's announcers, anyone else getting that?
This is why you need MLB.tv premium.
Plus, it's the Yankees...

Wood could give you 35-40 homers from 3b-SS, that's insane. He's yet to have the chance to start at the major league level, indeed, he's hardly had the chance to consistently play for more then a week with the Angels. That kind of potential can't be ignored.
He did get some playing time last year when Aybar and Izturis were out for the Angels. He wasn't very good. He did show off some power, but I just don't think he can get on base consistently. In the past three years of small sample size playing times, he's never hit above .200. It is a small sample size, but I just don't see him hitting major league pitching consistently.

Ed Price tweets that 3b Josh Harrison is in the deal as well.
Wow the Cubs gave up a lot it seems for a guy with a 1.5 WHIP and a failed prospect.

White Sox call up Lillibridge in case Ramirez goes on the DL
July 30, 2009, 3:55 PM
By: Bruce Levine
The Chicago White Sox have called up Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A Charlotte to wait and see if Alexei Ramirez has responded from treatment or must go on the disabled list.
Ramirez injured his left ankle in Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. He had an MRI today. Results are unknown at this time. As of 3:50, Ramirez walked into the clubhouse and was being checked out by the Sox training staff.
Why Lillibridge? Why?

Mark DeRosa didnt dive all over the place and constantly crash into walls to make the fans think he was better at defense than he actually was.
I guess Johnson & Rowand work out together in the off-season so I guess it would make sense why they are both like that.
Although you are right, when DeRosa & Rowand got traded, the fans thought they were the sole reason the teams struggled, which was obviously wrong.
I still wonder why we never got Reed Johnson.
