  1. Murph's just an idiot. He still lives in 1993.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:37 AM) I presume the rotation will involve this list of characters: Buehrle, Floyd, Danks, Contreras, Poreda. 4 left handers...what have we turned into?
  3. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 04:22 PM) Awesome... Man hes fat. You think if we poured some bar-b-que sauce on D-Wise that Fatboy would eat him. That would eliminate two problems. Colon would go to jail, and Wise cant hit .160 from Colons belly. The Onion had a piece about Prince Fielder and C.C. Sabathia trying to eat each other last year.
  4. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 04:16 PM) Hafner looks like Donkey... Here's the Colon/Shrek comparison...
  5. WTF? What's up with all this crap coming from players who can't even hit their own weight? Wise is hitting in the high .100s. He has zero room to talk. The fans can boo you if they want. They're the ones helping to pay your damn salary. If you suck, you get booed.
  6. White Sox Not Supplying Enough Food for Colon Joe Cowley - Chicago SunTimes Rumor has it that Bartolo was not happy with the post-game buffet selection as of late. It seems like only one turkey was not enough as he has always been given two earlier this year as well as with Boston last season and with the Angels the season before that. Bartolo reiterates that if he does not get enough to eat, he will pitch a crappy game. Ozzie Guillen begs to differ. "If that fatass thinks he can f*** around and ask for more food, I'm going to send him back to Venezuela where the kids have to eat lima beans. Alexei's already starving, maybe I should send him to Cuba", said the angry Manager after Colon's second subpar start in a row against the Cleveland Indians. Former backup catcher Corky Miller also addressed the situation. "When I was still here, Bartolo and I were great eating buddies. We'd eat everything together and see who could eat more in eating contests. But when they DFA'd me for Castro, Bartolo felt lonely. Ramon Castro is no eater compared to me. Even though he couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand him, I feel like as if eating has its own universal language." Team captain Paul Konerko thinks that Bartolo is totally being selfish. He also stated that even when he was in the middle of depression last season due to him hitting .200 for the majority of the season, he watched his weight and did not start eating just because he was sick of himself. Konerko also stated that Bartolo's weight problems could be because of his long depression over the years. Ever since his injury in 2006, Colon has put on much more weight. The White Sox brought up left handed prospect Aaron Poreda to fill Colon's spot in the rotation. Don Cooper was overjoyed at this move by Kenny Williams. Cooper went on to say the following: "Bartolo was a hassle to work with. He constantly grew hungry during workout sessions and refused to do any kind of conditioning. He also didn't speak much English so I didn't know what I was going to do. Now I'll actually work with a kid that has some good stuff along with knowledge of the English language. The best thing is that he doesn't weigh 300 pounds." Colon is now on the White Sox DL and has a very bleak future. Will he go into professional eating or just eat the rest of his life until he dies of obesity? Time will tell, but right now, it looks like the White Sox were plenty tired of Bartolo's selfish hunger for more turkey legs. NOTE: THIS IS NOT REAL.
  7. He's probably going to start for Colon against the Brewers. And seriously, he has a Facebook?
  8. Too bad for Laurence. It's not his fault Hamp had to say "uh" every other sentence.
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) It all is fresh again. 3 more games. Its going to be big for this series. Beckham looked much better that last AB and I think Getz is getting closer. Remain hopeless until you can no longer be without hope. That's how I'm approaching this. This team has a habit of getting your hopes up and then stabbing your heart and then getting your hopes up again.
  10. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) I don't give a s*** if he's O-fer whatever. He still has a better approach than Fields 7 days a week. f*** Josh Fields. Josh's actually been hitting better as of late. I wouldn't be so pissed at him if he knew how to field a routine grounder. Gordon's had some bad at bats so far. He's way too anxious up there.
  11. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 05:10 PM) Am I still the only person here that doesn't think Walker should be fired? Probably not. Whether or not he's doing the right things or not isn't the problem here. A. The offense sucks. It's in the bottom half of the league in just about everything. We're even lacking in home runs when we have a home run hitting team and three guys who can knock in 30 home runs in the lineup every day. B. Even if he's teaching all of these guys the right things and doing his job the right way, the results just aren't there. Are you going to get rid of more than half of the hitters on this team? Because half of this team is hitting like absolute crap right now. I don't think that's feasible. Besides, this is nothing new. These guys don't know what situational hitting means. They try to pull everything. Either they're not listening or Walker's doing the wrong thing. Either way, Walker's ineffective. Thus, he should be fired.
  12. Strong performance by Jose. The Tigers looked like us when we face a pitcher we've never seen before.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 08:59 PM) Jose had no forkball before he got demoted. Thus, he was basically a one pitch pitcher to lefties and they were destroying him. It also looks like he's gained a mph on his fastball, which can't hurt. Not having a forkball is somewhat part of not having any control... He still had the same velocity and everything.
  14. Jose's just a headcase. He had all the stuff he's showing tonight from day one. It's just been the control and pitch selection that's screwed him over in his previous 5 starts.
  15. I don't think he has much room to talk tbh with you.

    Sigh

    QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) Fields and Anderson should both just be sent packing. It's obvious 1) we won't get anything in return for them at this point, 2) they both need a change of scenery and/or a new hitting coach. It's just not going to happen for them in Chicago, two more blown first-round draft picks in a streak of almost 15 years of bad ones. But Josh Anderson sure does look good... What did they trade to get him again? Looks like Kenny missed out.

    Sigh

    There was no reason why we shouldn't have won today. But somehow, someway, they did it. Josh Fields needs to go back down to AAA.
  18. Josh Fields needs to stop playing. That ball was nothing but a routine grounder with a guy limping going down the line. How the hell do you f*** that up?
  19. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 6, 2009 -> 04:34 AM) Dye can't play tomorrow so we will see both Brian and Wise again. Let's hope Brian won't play himself out of the CF role, because right now it looks like Scott will be our CF when Q comes back. Why can't he play tomorrow? It's a 2 game suspension.
  20. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 5, 2009 -> 08:34 PM) ERA over 5? Get owned. Unknown pitcher/rookie? Get Owned. Good pitcher who we shouldn't hit? We own him. Weird. This teams tries when it wants to I guess.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2009 -> 08:24 PM) His swing is just so ugly. Anderson and Fields are two prime examples of why Greg Walker is not a good hitting coach. Or you can look at the 8 shutouts this year and once again say that he's a s***ty hitting coach. And I'm sick and tired when people say that when we hit well, Walker doesn't get any praise. Really? Because when this team hits well, it hits to its talent level. When the entire team hits like s***, somebody's gotta be the problem. This team is talented offensively. Always has been. Even now, we have some good offensive players on this team in Ramirez, Thome, Konerko, and Dye. They can get it done. As long as 2-3 guys are getting it done in a lineup, this team can survive. The thing is, they're not even doing that right now.
  22. Angels have a 2-run lead on Detroit going into the bottom of the ninth. Seriously, this team has had every chance to catch up to the Tigers and have failed miserably.
  23. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 5, 2009 -> 08:19 PM) Alright, we really need a CFer. f*** Brian. Nate McLouth?
  24. A.J. and Pods are the only guys hitting decently on this team right now. Everybody else blows.
  25. Ozzie needs to throw a hissy fit and fast. None of these guys are motivated.
