  1. Either Luis is wearing 5 layers or he's put on a lot of muscle.
  2. Luis Robert saw what happened with Ohtani and decided he doesn't need an interpreter anymore.
  3. Why would they want a Justin Fields regen after they just traded Justin Fields?
  4. Honestly CONCACAF and CONMEBOL should just merge.
  5. This is a mock draft you see a meatball Bears fans post in a Bears Facebook group.

A 2 year $50 million deal for Monty is about as good as it gets. s%*#, where were all these contracts when the Sox were competitive? This Monty deal is right up JR's alley.
  7. That run-down was rough. I don't think I've seen the White Sox do anything so stupid all these years and we suck at fundamentals. The only thing that I can think of that is on-par or worse was that play with Baez and the Pirates. I think they preach fundamentals quite a bit in Japan, so that type of play is obviously inexcusable. However, it really shouldn't be Bauer's place to show up his teammates like that. That's for the manager to take care of behind closed doors. He's done that many times before, so no wonder his teammates can't wait to get rid of him.
  8. We own Mexico at this point. Undefeated in the last 7. Beat them in 3 straight Nations Leagues.
  9. I'm glad they lost. Illinois now gets one of the easier round of 32 matchups. If we can't make it to the Sweet 16 this year with these matchups, Underwood needs to resign.
  10. Yeah this is so shady. Ippei originally gave an interview saying Ohtani knowingly helped him pay off his gambling debts. Now the story is that he stole the money. I'm guessing Ohtani's representation doesn't want Ohtani to look like he paid off bookies. At this point, that's probably the best case scenario. The worst case is that Ohtani is Pete Rose and Ippei is his fall guy.
  11. Soroka has really good ST numbers. How has his stuff looked?
  12. This draft is so deep at WR that you can definitely still get a decent one at 75.
  13. Did he? Snell wanted 150 million+ and only got 62 million coming off a CY year. I'd say that's bad. Same can be said for Bellinger. He only got 80 mil when he was looking for at least twice that.
  14. The Eagles now have Graham, Huff, Reddick, and Sweat. They restructured Sweat, so they're probably keeping him. Apparently Reddick's entire cap hit would be dead money if he were traded, so he might actually fetch some value in a trade if the Eagles are paying for it all this year.
  15. His son also plays football in freaking Colorado...
  16. I think there's a 3 minute reel of Jaguars receivers dropping Lawrence TD passes last year. He played way better than his TD numbers last year. His ankle getting hurt also did him no favors.
  17. I mean, if they really were offered much better deals and Fields' team said no, then I'd say he got played by David Mulugheta. But I doubt that was really the case. Maybe they were offered slightly better and they decided that sending him to where he wanted to go would make good PR for the team.
  18. If somebody really offered a 3rd and the Bears settled for a 6th, then the players' tweets saying "it's just business" would make no sense.
  19. I doubt anyone offered a 3rd if he got traded for a 2025 6th. Maybe a 4th or 5th.
  20. Illini got a bad round of 32 matchup again. BYU is ranked 16th on Kenpom and 17th by BPI. They're much more a high 5 seed than a 6. The gap between them and the other 6 seeds is pretty large.
  21. He's got the talent. If you can just get him to take the easier throws and maybe not play hero ball, he should be the best QB in franchise history. His problems are not the same as Fields'. Fields has poor pocket awareness and a very slow release. Add this on top of his inability to anticipate throws and he ends up with a 12% career sack rate. Caleb has elite pocket awareness, a quick release, and an incredible arm. He also has issues with throwing with anticipation, but I think the hope is that his elite ability to buy time and his pocket awareness will help offset those issues until he gets more acclimated to pre-snap reads. Add having elite route runners for his top 2 WRs and he should see a lot more open receivers. His other knocks, like being too loose with the ball, not taking easier throws to play hero ball, and not playing in structure can hopefully be ironed out by coaching. I think it should be noted that after the ND game, he played more in-structure. I think with Justin his combination of slow release, poor pocket awareness, and inexperience reading defenses are a terrible combo to have as a passer. He'd need to improve 2 out of 3 to become a good NFL QB. With Williams, you already have 2 of those 3. Not getting the third will limit his ceiling though.
  22. Poles trades are either really good or really terrible. Not a whole lot of in-between.
  23. You have to wonder if the Eagles were willing to give the Bears the deal the Steelers got for Pickett, but then Khan swooped in and got rid of the last realistic suitor for Fields, which drove his price down even more. A 6th next year is just baffling. The 4th round possibility is unrealistic unless Wilson gets hurt. The Bears gave up more for Ryan Bates. The Bears sent a 6th for freaking Dan Feeney. This is literally a case of we don't want to cut the guy, so please take him for basically nothing. What's actually kind of funny is that the Bears would have saved about 3 million if they cut Fields as opposed to trading him. That might have actually been a better option outside of the ability to choose where you send him.
