  1. Eloy has either been really good or useless so far this year. Two 0 for 5s out of 4 games.
  2. It'd be nice to get a few more insurance runs so we can save Lopez for the home opener.
  3. With any luck he won't have to face Maldonado this inning...cause we all know he ain't getting him out.
  4. I think it's that when he screws up, it's super annoying cause he either ends up walking a guy he's supposed to get out (left on left situation), throws a wild pitch (see Thursday), or when he gives up a hit, it's some soft hit grounder. He's a guy that when he does get beat, it's in the most preventable and aggravating ways.
  5. Probably. Assuming Graveman doesn't f*** it up again.
  6. He used to throw a lot more strikes. Then he just lost the ability to throw his sinker for strikes. I think the change to the slider heavy approach he has now actually hurt him as a reliever. Sure he gets gaudy strikeout numbers, but he's also way less consistent with his command.
  7. Of course they gotta give up a run on a wild pitch before striking the guy out...
  8. Welp they flipped the lineup over and we couldn't get Maldonado out again...
  9. No reason this game shouldn't be 5-0...now you gotta depend on this leaky bullpen to hold a 3 run lead.
  10. White Sox starting pitchers only gave up 5 earned runs in this series. The offense and bullpen are the reason we're 1-2.
  11. Another inning where you get the first 2 outs and then let them rally...just like yesterday.
  12. Looks like Seby brought his Spring Training power to the regular season.
  13. Bring back those guaranteed rate commercials Lucas Giolito...worst pitcher in baseball
  14. You have to wonder if he changed his mechanics because the previous short arm mechanics would limit the shelf life of his career. Because his new mechanics sure as hell isn't helping his velo.
  15. Yeah Graveman walking Maldonado was still the biggest issue that inning. I did find it weird that there were only 5 balls hit like that by a right handed hitter in the past 9 years at Minute Maid. And Benintendi was involved in 3 of those instances and that ball was the only one he didn't catch. The side by side of the ball he caught last year vs. the one he didn't catch yesterday was really good and showed the difference in positioning. That's probably the best breakdown Jomboy has ever done outside of the Astros cheating scandal video.
  16. This is a really good breakdown of the ball Benintendi didn't catch yesterday. I said at the time that it seemed like the initial positioning is what messed everything up and that kind of seems to be the case. You can also argue that Benintendi probably could've caught the ball if he didn't give up on it so early, but it would not have been all that routine.
  17. I thought Ruiz would have made a lot of sense vs. the bottom of the order.
