  1. So the Reynas tried to blackmail Gregg Berhalter over not playing Gio Reyna during the World Cup and for his comments afterwards. I don't think the USMNT has ever seen this level of internal drama. https://www.espn.com/soccer/united-states-usa/story/4844539/claudio-reyna-told-us-soccer-about-past-gregg-berhalter-domestic-violence-incident-sources
  2. I hope they're just saying this just to keep Eloy happy about not being a full-time DH.
  3. Hahaha I think Eloy actually does look pretty good going to his left. It's going to his right that he's really bad at. I remember he made a pretty nice play in the Futures game, but that was also a long time ago and he's probably a lot slower and bigger than he was back then. There's also that issue with injuries.
  4. Trade back from the 2 spot to the Raiders for their first round pick (probably end up top 8 or 9) , Adams, and maybe their 2nd round pick? The 1st is worth 2600 points, the 9th pick is worth around 1350, their 2nd rounder is worth 500. So that puts Adams' value at a late first round pick, which is probably what his true value is given his contract. Raiders can get Stroud, Bears can get a tackle with the 8th pick, a top tier WR, and a nice piece with the 2nd rounder.
  5. He's a nice player to have on a contending team with starters everywhere. He's the perfect type of utility player that TLR probably thinks Leury is. But he is not gonna give you 600 PAs and be a starter at 2B. That's what the Sox need and Guillorme doesn't fit that role at all.
  6. So the White Sox empty their bullpen to get 2 bench players? lmao
  7. Exactly, Murphy is arb eligible for 3 years and will probably make $25 million for the next 3 years of arb. This is effectively a 3 year $50 million deal. Which isn't far off from what Grandal got.
  8. It's fine to wait for things to develop, but when you peddle that your cars are gonna be robo-taxis next year and that you'll be on Mars in 10 and none of that has come close to happening, you don't get the benefit of the doubt. Also, he got fired from PayPal before they got big. He got rich from it because he got to keep his equity, but PayPal flourished without him.
  9. Dude, the last 2 things are basically Vaporware. Neuralink is giving monkeys brain damage and the Boring Company's biggest achievement is a Tesla tunnel in Vegas. Give Elon credit where credit is due for Tesla and SpaceX, but you don't gotta defend him like he's gonna share his billions with you.
  10. Microsoft did a bunch of anti-competitive stuff back in the 90s. Most billionaires did scummy things to get where they are.
  11. That's fair, but I did some reading on this and it seems like he might have re-aggravated the old injury late in the season against KC. He had a metal plate inserted back in 2014 and the plate started vibrating during one of the KC games after he slid into 2nd weird.
  12. Elon's been continuously saying Teslas will drive themselves and be robo-taxis "next year" for years knowing that FSD was only going to maybe achieve high level 2 autonomous driving, meaning there's gotta be someone in the car while FSD operates. Not to mention they're charging $15k for it now and the beta isn't fully public. Not spending $10k on FSD was the best decision I made regarding my Tesla purchase. Elon's basically an owner who says they will sign the next big FA, fail at it, and then say the same thing year after year, only to end up not signing the big money guys.
  13. So how is Correa's ankle a sticking point now but it wasn't when the Twins signed him last year?
  14. Also Liam's trade value just went up. Rodgers was the last decent free agent reliever.
  15. Giants are gonna sign the rest of the free agents after missing out on Correa.
  16. This was more than I thought Comforto would get. Hell that's half of Benintendi's contract and 3 years less. The opt out is worth something too.
  17. Was that from a TV broadcast? Which producer let them put that trade proposal up?
  18. Escobar actually played in the AL before and was pretty good on the Twins.
  19. Yankees DFA'd Luetge to make room for Kahnle. And to think we're paying Diekman $4 million this year to suck when there's a quality relief lefty on waivers...
  20. They gave away Iglesias for free at the deadline last year...if they're actually interested in Hendriks, what a dumb franchise.
  21. The earliest that can come is 2027 right? The current CBA expires after 2026.
  22. The signs aren't exactly pointing up for Liam. I have no problem if they want to trade him, as long as they get something of fair value back that fits the team in 2023.
  23. This is what I was thinking. They're being paid similar amounts of money. Escobar doesn't have a spot on the Mets anymore. The Mets can always try to build a better bullpen. Kelly is wasted on the Sox right now as probably the 5th best reliever on the team.
