  1. Nimmo and Conforto are definitely on their radar.
  2. The Sox would totally claim Raimel Tapia. I guess he's not bad as a 4th OFer.
  3. Teoscar doesn't make sense for this team. He destroys lefties, but is just alright against righties. We have a bunch of those types of hitters on the team already.
  4. Yeah, who the hell are the Blue Jays gonna play in the OF? Are they gonna sign 2 OFers?
  5. The Angels do seem to botch all their FA signings.
  6. He's gonna be 33 next year. With his style of pitching, I doubt he ages that poorly.
  7. No, it's gonna be 3 years and $75 mil cause Jon Heyman said so.
  8. It'd feel like the Jim Thome situation all over again.
  9. It would be kinda funny if one Cuban replaces another. I hate the idea of Jose playing for Houston though.
  10. This is a good sign that the SP market is pretty good. I can totally see the Sox getting Clevinger. Especially since the Angels were one of the teams after him. With Anderson, it gives them 5 starters for next year.
  11. He's shown that he's at least an average starter the last 3 seasons once he got out of Colorado. I don't expect him to replicate last year but I don't think it's a stretch to say he's a 2.5 WAR type pitcher.
  12. 3 and 39 is less than what FG had as their median crowd source. Pretty reasonable deal for a guy coming off a 4 WAR season.
  13. Good signing for the Angels. Their rotation is actually interesting next year. Jose Suarez and Patrick Sandoval were both good last year.
  14. I'm surprised Eovaldi didn't take it coming off a pretty bad season with arm issues.
  15. Jansen and Taylor Rodgers probably get good money on their deals, but the drop off after them is huge. Is anyone really gonna pay Kimbrel a multi-year deal? Chapman? Those guys are both older and coming off terrible years.
  16. Grandal's issue isn't that he wasn't getting singles that he should have gotten, his issue was that he was no longer hitting the ball with any real authority. Getting 10 more singles would have made him a .230 hitter last year with a .300 slugging. That's not worth much of anything.
  17. I get the feeling that premium relievers are gonna cost a lot because of the lack of them in free agency. So I wouldn't take the deals signed by Diaz, Montero, and Suarez as a barometer for future deals at every position. However, I do think left handed bats will end up costing more since they won't get extreme shifted on anymore. That's probably gonna result in a 20-30 point batting average uptick for most left handed hitters out there.
  18. Lowe's hard hit % went down last year. But his exit velocity and launch angle remained steady. It's very likely Lowe's back injury was bothering him before he went out for the season. He didn't need surgery, so that might be a good sign.
  19. If it's non-rule 5 guys the Rays are looking for, I don't think the Sox have a whole lot to offer for Lowe. Colas or Vera would make sense in those situations.
  20. Lowe for Crochet works out pretty well value-wise. Lowe is under control until 2024 with 2 club options for 25 and 26. It's an incredibly team friendly contract for a guy who's been a 4 WAR player. This is probably a great time to buy low. Even if he performed at the level he did last year, he was probably still a 2.5 WAR player last season if healthy and that's well worth the $4 million he will make over the next 2 years.
  21. God empty OBP is right. The guy is so slow that it takes 3 singles to score him.
  22. If Yaz could get back on the juice and give us at least half a season's worth of good production before he gets caught, that'd be great.
  23. Hendriks is definitely tradeable. Graveman too if you just want to salary dump him.
  24. Yeah I haven't forgotten how much Sean Murphy fucked us in a span of 5 months.
