Why is he in the game? He would be batting 8th next inning. Christ

Love it...but what the s*** is Cleveland thinking? Vaults them into the 8th seed for no reason?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 12:05 AM) The downside of hitting three consecutive (4 when you consider where Ibaka was drafted) home runs in the draft in a small market. And there's just no way Harden would've blossomed into more than a super elite 6th man behind Durant/Westbrook. When I think of tragic what ifs I think of Portland (Oden/Roy) and Houston (T-mac/Yao). Either could've won multiple championships. Sucks when the body betrays you. "Small Market" that had their franchise still increase massively in value and voluntarily moved into said small market from a larger market. f*** those cheap-ass owners. But hey, at least by ruining their franchise's shot at a title they opened up the possibility of Durant signing elsewhere while in his prime.

Happy for the win...not excited for the next INT Jay throws and the meatheads come out in droves asking for McCown

QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 10:00 PM) Derrick can't score, can't get a foul call, and is absolutely not facilitating for his teammates. We looked our best with Hinrich in the game...and he is bad. What are we thinking we could get trade-wise for him? Think anyone would take that contract though?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 10:30 AM) Rose still wouldn't recruit LeBron, or anyone else, to come to the Bulls. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...0,7162946.story Solid, why would you want better players on your team anyway? The Front Office has everything under control.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 04:32 PM) I dont like the guy but not sure how thats being entitled. The guy wanted something and went out and got it, and proved he was one of the best HS and college QB's ever. There are alot worse people out there wearing NFL uni's than Tim Tebow. The whole "they said I couldn't be a college QB" thing bugged me. He was one of the highest rated QB prospects coming out of college was he not? Who exactly was doubting him?

QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Aug 8, 2013 -> 02:08 PM) 1) Get Garcia in the lineup and let him make adjustments at the major league level. He has nothing to prove at AAA. 2) Get $15 million off the books, and go about trying to fix 1B or 3B. There was interest in him this trade deadline but our asking price was too high. Trade him this winter to get at least something back or gamble he has a good start next year and trade him at the 2014 deadline.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) They aren't terrible. They are a good organization, however, have failed to capitalize. Clearly they have built one of the better rosters in the league. However, Gar has shown a complete inability to get a major move done. Paxson/Gar have both shown a good eye for talent, Paxson was the superior GM though as he was able to accomplish a lot and make some relatively major moves during his tenure. What "major move" was available to us in the last couple years during the Rose era that wouldn't have involved gutting the entire team except Rose? Harden? Joe Johnson? Dwight Howard? Carmelo? We had no chance at LBJ/Wade/Bosh. I'm all for holding the FO to task over not making moves, but what are these mythical major moves that they could have made the last few years? Getting Garnet/Pau would have been pointless on a pre-Rose team.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 01:53 AM) It just hit me that Juwan Howard has two rings. They'll go good with the nice suits he wore to every game.

How many years/dollars would you give to Granderson?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 31, 2013 -> 08:42 AM) Seriously, 20% of his hits are due to his speed and would be lost if he loses a single step? At least half of his 30+ HR's would be ground rule doubles if it wasn't for his speed. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 28, 2013 -> 12:47 PM) http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2013/story...antage-flopping Says a lot. And last week he stated that "he doesn't flop ever, doesn't need to". I hate him so much

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 24, 2013 -> 04:21 PM) No joke, there's probably 5 guys you'll never hear of in Rucker Park right now who can do that. Maybe we dump rose and sign this dude? He's 6'3" and can do some sweet dunks

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 23, 2013 -> 05:21 PM) I think everyone would. Problem is, you couldn't really anticipate allowing an uncontested layup or having to get up a wild jump shot if you helped on LeBron... Again, second guessing. I don't really consider that second guessing but rather common sense: -Make sure Lebron doesn't beat you, and if he does make sure it's on a jumpshot -Have a 7 footer near basket to protect the hoop just in case It's not like they had enough time to drive, pull Hibbert off and dump it to someone else for a easy shot.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 23, 2013 -> 05:15 PM) Of course he is being ridiculed for it now...had they had Hibbert in and left someone wide open to hit a jump shot, he would have been ridiculed for that too. The sports world is littered with second guessers. I'd take my chances with wild jump shot over an uncontested layup 100/100 times.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 14, 2013 -> 09:09 AM) True. I can also remain upset with the organization since they decided to trickle into the luxury tax territory for this abortion of a season. This should be about championships, and they'll be further away from one because of the way they approached this season. But hey, they sold 5 games worth of playoff tickets and concessions! Maybe that was because they assumed they'd see #thereturn of a superstar player at some point in the regular season?

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 6, 2013 -> 11:28 PM) Looks like Jo still has DR's back despite all the speculation to the contrary... http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=9249599 What else is he supposed to say, really?

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 3, 2013 -> 12:11 PM) Some people don't read. In the NFC Championship game thread I was ranting against Cutler and have admitted it. Part of it was that I was pretty drunk abd pissed that even before Jay got hurt, he was putting up a garbage performance and looking shook. I took back what I said later that night and especially the day after. Cutler was legitemately hurt. I've apologized for my meatheadedness and won't do that again. You guys come off as meatheads because Rose is either a coward or a lazy POS. I don't believe that to be the case. He's being overly cautious because it's his career we're talking about. And to say this could be his legacy is downright silly. People will forget this when he gets back to his old form (fingers crossed). Not to long ago LeBron was thought as being mentally weak and unclutch, lol. I don't think anyone here called him lazy. I think it breaks down into 2 "complaint departments": -He's mentally weak and can't handle being injured. Which is not the greatest sign to have for your superstar 100 million dollar player. -He isn't the brightest guy around and is taking absolutely terrible advice from his idiot brother and BJ Armstrong as if that will "stick it" to the Bulls and make them build a better team. Rather than realizing that if it was known there was no chance he'd play this season, maybe we don't sign anyone, rest Noah and tank a bit to get a draft pick. Instead we're f'd with no payroll flexibility for years and have 2 wasted years of a solid team.

"The only healthy player left on the Bulls roster is D-Rose"

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2013 -> 12:40 AM) The problem is that's like hating Keppinger or Gillaspie, Jordan Danks or D-Wise, or even Tyler Flowers. They're not responsible for this situation. Dunn is the one earning $15 or $16 million, which is keeping this franchise stuck in neutral while the rest of the teams are moving forward (CLE, MINN, KC). Without Dunn and John Danks producing positive results, it's going to be nearly impossible to overcome just those two contracts in the short-term. If 30 million over 2 years is holding this franchise back from playoff contention, JR should sell the team immediately and start selling assets cause he must be bankrupt.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 06:13 PM) Let the closer search begin for Detroit. Our old buddy Eduardo Escobar hit the game winner too. Defense rulez...both of those guys could have made that catch easy.

If the plan is to play that at every home game, numerous people should be fired. That was one of the most awkward things i've ever witnessed (watching live at OD yesterday).

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 06:42 PM) Hey Brian, it's hard to feel sorry for you when you came into training camp a few years ago and forced the Bears to give you a new deal when you still had 2 years left on your current deal After neck surgery and s*** season too wasn't it?
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) No, but both of those teams had a very short window to work within that caused the panic and short sightedness. The Cavs and Magic both made the Finals before they started throwing money at every name possible, and then when their stars started getting closer to free agency, the wheels came off and the Hedo Turkoglus and Antawn Jamisons and Big Baby trades started flowing in. The Bulls need to be creative, but they have quite a while to be creative and appease Derrick, he is signed and isnt going anywhere any time soon. But goddamnit, it is time for the front office to show some balls and stop being afraid of the luxury tax. I am glad that Derrick is unhappy with status quo. I don't remember those stars complaining this early though, with even less success than the Bulls have had thus far during the Rose era. They were a couple not-s***ting-the-bed games away from the Finals a couple years ago and then a blown out ACL ruined the last 2 years since. I don't see the need for him to be b****ing already. Especially b****ing about the Bulls not making any moves during a year that he might sit out. If I'm him I would have been mad the Bulls didn't cut as much salary and tank this season hoping for a Robinson/Duncan type situation.
