  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 05:14 PM) Knee surgery isn't as bad as it used to be. DRose will return and be fine most likely. Look at all the NFL running backs that had ACL and MCL surgeries. It used to be a death sentence, not necessarily these days. NFL players don't need to move like drose does. If he loses a step, he's a shell of his former self. He'd still be solid, but not anything near MVP levels if he slows down.
  2. Such a long wait for a real report feels like "how do we spin this so it doesn't sound as bad"
  3. I love that the bulls*** of this game gets over looked a couple quarters later. LEBRON WITH A MARVELOUS GAME.....after he got 193 FT attempts in the 1st quarter he should be having a great f***ing game. That's why the flop rule will never apply, all flopping is forgotten immediately after the game.
  4. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 03:53 PM) It's a large problem. It's a problem of society, with no honor. Creating players who have to play like this, as it's what they are brought up in. It's the ref's for consistently calling really weak plays, but the pressure, im sure, is put on them with the way violence has broken out. I would be all for a league that calls much fewer fouls, however a flop rule would just not work. Treat the flop rule just like a flagrant foul. They review that s*** and judge is subjectively. Flop 1 or Flop 2, free throws and an ejection. f*** this s***, ruins the game.
  5. lebron is such a b****. They need a f***ing flop foul rule.
  6. I vote for Player Z, for ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 06:36 PM) Santiago to AAA tonight. They have lost 2 games with 2 run leads with this guy already! no
  8. its all in the hips, its all in the hips
  9. man are they bad, jesus He had all day to make that play
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 04:18 PM) De Aza's average went from .250 to .222 today. One of his triples from the Tigers series was ruled an error on Delmon Young. So when does he get demoted to AAA? Tonight or does it legally have to wait till tomorrow?
  11. QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 05:25 PM) It baffles me that a guy like Beckham wouldn't go to a "professional hitter" like Konerko, who has such sound mechanics, and ask him for help. Then, if I were Gordon, I'd just scrap everything I was doing, and try to emmulate Paulie. I'd figure, "how could I go wrong with that approach?" Paulie is so fundamentally sound, in his approach. Why not? If it were that simple, there would be ~1,000,000,000 capable MLB hitters in the world.
  12. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) Anyone know what Hector's walk out music was? Or in other words, he needs a new song
  13. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 03:47 PM) I agree. I really miss the Lebron from cleveland that would just lower his head like a damn bull and force his way into the paint since he's such a physical specimen and draw contact. He's uber passive these days, its extremely frustrating. That's still his go to move in close games late: A) Chuck up a wild 3 and occasionally get lucky. B) Head down sprint down the lane, throw ball at vicinity of hoop, yell for foul.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 11:05 AM) Given that news, I think you have to deal off Forte for a 2nd or 3rd round pick and then draft a back in the 2nd round to spell Bush. The Bears can't afford to pay Matt, and even if they could, I wouldn't want them to do so. Also given that news they have 0 leverage on any team that wants him.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 09:02 PM) im starting to get a little scared of meeting the Knicks in the playoffs if Carmelo continues playing like this Only if they go Tanya Harding on Rose's knee
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) What just happened? When he pitched for the Twins, we never beat him like that. Crazy. KW for GM of the year, lol. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...47&c_id=mlb
  17. I like that they're both actual fans of those teams and not completely "acting"
  18. I hear Peavy tore his oblique taking that photo
  19. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) OT should just be a 7:00 quarter. If no one scores you can have a field goal competition. That'd be like having a 5min NBA overtime and if it's still tied having a game of knock-out decide it.
  20. As long as 2 of our players aren't ranked 1 & 2 on the list of worst players in the majors, I'm right there with him.
  21. PSA: Robbie Gould on FitzDogRadio podcast for some reason, pretty good.
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 23, 2012 -> 01:50 PM) No comment yet from Matt Forte He's only upset cause the majority of NFL teams only keep 1 RB on the roster at all times.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 23, 2012 -> 10:01 AM) There are other reports that the most the Bears offered was 10M in guaranteed money. I don't know what report is true, all I know, is that with Lynch/Foster signed, you know Forte's deal is somewhere in between what those two players got. If the Bears don't want to pay that, they need to start telling him such and work out a contingent plan. Maybe that is him playing one year as a franchised player and letting him go. Maybe that is him working out a deal with another club and than working out a trade. I don't know the answer but I know that treating players poorly can be something that is looked at poorly in the NFL and I don't want players to not want to come and play for the Bears (and it does happen). Treating players poorly? Like when Urlacher whined about his contract after 18 neck/back surgeries and a down year....and got the money? It's like Wade saying Reinsdorf isn't loyal when he's got every former Bull on the payroll still in some capacity.
  24. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 22, 2012 -> 02:03 PM) I'd be pissed too. Instead of getting a multi-year deal with more guaranteed money (i.e., security in case of injury) he's got to play basically for yearly contracts. It's kind of bogus, especially since he's arguably the second most important player on the team. He turned down the multi-year offer. I love me some Forte, but after watching Peterson have his leg amputated after signing for 300 million, you just can't pay RB like that anymore.
  25. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) Tebow on the Jets...this is gonna be hilarious Hilariously annoying....everytime Sanchize throws an INT we'll get 24/7 "Tebow Watch" of when he'll start
