QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 08:16 AM) Last I heard, they still hadn't made any decisions on where he'll play. He's a capable 3b, OF and catcher. If Dunn leaves, they'll have a hole in the corner-outfield though, so they may be interested in a catcher. No they won't. Dunn plays 1b If they think Sales is the real deal, I could see Hudson + junk for Dunn. He can't command that much, its a 3 month rental.

Wade vs Rose & Noah is the question if you assume LBJ and Bosh are going together and the rest of the rosters are going to be a bunch of D-leaguers
-
Melo is already discussing contract extension with the Nuggets
-
just so I'm not an idiot....negative odds that high mean they think its very likely to happen right?
-
"48 hrs ago: sportsbook.com had LeBron at +125 to sign w/ Bulls. Bosh was +300. Now? They're both -500. Hmmmmmm."

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 27, 2010 -> 07:02 PM) That's because Peavy said nothing stupid. Then neither did Ozzie, yet there will be a 10 page thread on this stupid comment
-
I love that I get s*** for hating on Peavy for talking stupid, but Oz saying EXACTLY what the f*** he is supposed to gets flamed here. Absolutly ridiculous, whats he supposed to say? "Yeah a few of these guys suck ass, we should go get someone. This team isn't good enough" This place is hilarious sometimes

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 06:01 PM) Because it isn't like the last two seasons have been decided by a game 163 in the AL Central or anything... And it isn't like we won 2 of those games anyway and lost 19 games to the Indians either...but yeah, keep using "bu bu but, he's bad in tie games you non-baseball knowing idiots!!!!" as an arugment. Its working.

QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 07:46 PM) How much do you think Allen with sign for? With an almost guaranteed ring, a former coach, I'd say the MLE would be fine with him
-
Rose Allen? LBJ Bosh Noah......who do you double team? LBJ obviously, but that leaves either the lane for Rose open or Bosh alone down low and your 4th option is a guy who hits 3s. This team instantly give Rose 5-10 more assists per game and a better scoring percentage as he doesn't need to force everything. I can't even wrap my head around that team to be honest. While the bench would be questionable, that starting 5 would instantly be a top 10 (if not higher) all time.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) It just manifested itself in tied ballgames which are arguably more important than save situations. See how you just end up arguing the same s*** over and over? Yeah those 3 tie games he's pitched (1 left in a tie, 2 left down) in surely will decide the season.

Delgado. Haha

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:07 AM) Screw you Bulls, screw you. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...0,3403018.story Not so much do I dislike Duhon, I actually really like. I'm just bitter about losing both BG and Kirk because of Deng's contract the past two years...and thats how I see it too as I have never liked Deng or his contract, yet Kirk was my favorite player and BG was my second favorite until Noah was drafted, and then, they were still 2 and 3. Don't get me wrong, when the Bulls get LeBron + Bosh, it'll make it better, but if there is one man I never want to see wear a Bulls uniform again is Luol Deng. If anyone should still be around as a link to the Bulls revival, it should be Ben or Kirk, not Deng who has complained about being second fiddle to Rose & Noah and not liking how they don't pad his stats. Now that I got that out, who's captain next year? I think it will be Noah. Official reason Kirk was awesome? This is under his likes on his Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pag...se/302024092833 You realize BG was offered the same contract as Deng, and if he wasn't an idiot and took it, the franchise would be crippled right now.

Sox vs Atlanta June 24th 1:05 first pitch

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:33 PM) I'm not b****ing god dammit. Did you ever wonder why all the elite closers in the game have about 6 or 7 outings to this point that took place in tied games? Well that's because IT'S PART OF THE f***ING JOB. Kind of like what Mo did last night in Arizona. If a closer was asked it only pitch in save situations then there'd really be no reason to pay them $7M+ a year. When someone says "Jenks shouldn't pitch in tie ballgames" I'm gonna f***ing say something because that's jut ridiculous. How about you come up with a thought that has nothing to do with other people's opinions on Bobby Jenks? I never stated Bobby was an "elite closer" or compared him to Mo f'n Rivera. And I also don't believe you put him in during tie games because he struggles for whatever reason.....but that doesn't make a save in the 9th any less f***ing meaningful. He is what he is, expecting him to be Rivera is stupid. And I guess your definition of b****ing and mine are different. When he goes out and dominates 1-2-3, my first thought is "Nice Jenks" while others seem to be "well, he still sucks in tie games" -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:31 PM) Do you post about anything besides criticizing the people that do post? From what I recall, you're an excellent baseball person. However, all your posts lately seem to be about the posters on here. No one was b****ing about Jenks in this game, so what you said was incorrect. No, I just dislike people who seem to have a vast majority of posts hating on every aspect of the team, then when we win act like nothing happened. All the hate Jenks was getting only a couple weeks ago is now just "well, well, all I was saying was he just isn't good in tie games!!!!" when every post was calling him a useless fatass. I see no need for that bulls*** for a guy like Jenks. -

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:27 PM) Then Jenks isn't a real closer. I thought a closer gets saves, to you know, CLOSE games? Gotta love that this place still needs to find something to b**** about with Jenks. -

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 11:28 PM) No K's over his last 3 outings. Concerning to say the very least. If he doesn't pick up his strikeout totals he's gonna start to get shelled. Yeah that 1 pitch in his last save would have been much better if it were an 8 pitch K -

QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) you are going to get a friend request from greg any minute now. He goes a bit too far call him an all-star, but I see no point in hating him and calling him a worthless fat f*** like 99% of this place does, very classy -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) I want a new hitting coach to see if we can salvage the career of Quentin, and also prevent Beckham from becoming another Sox bust. You should exaggerate more, you're too mellow.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 04:47 PM) Nothing like gangster rap in Wrigley. Its that old-timey tradition that keeps me coming back to Wrigley -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 02:47 PM) You potentially get more in a trade the sooner you finish the deal, because the other team gets the player longer. Does that really matter? Does anyone honestly believe we will get anything of value for a little over half a year of AJ?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 02:48 PM) This is the same idiocy we put up with last year with Rios. The usefulness of sample sizes is lost on too many people. And you guys are 100% completely missing my point. Rios didn't say "he'd look to be moved" last year and I haven't said a word about Peavy until his latest remarks. Shut the f*** up and pitch like you are capable of, then demand a trade. Don't talk like you have no blame in this thing when you're one of the main reasons we are where we are.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 10:15 AM) And lets not forget, if he wanted to play on a crappy rebuilding team, he would have stayed in San Diego. He came here to win. He sure has done his part to help that effort. How anyone can defend him when he's been one of the worst pitchers in the AL is hilarious.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 07:33 AM) I think you're being sarcastic here, but you're 100% correct if you're not. I'm impressively disappointed that we're still talking about this. Nope. You get a pass for only 2 reasons: Taken out of context (which he wasn't) or if you're playing your ass off (which he isn't). Shut the f*** up until you start pitching like something better than a AAA'er. If you want to be pissed, be pissed about everyone having a panic attack over some retard reporters baiting Oz or KW into saying "something crazy". I can't stand that s*** and this board spends a sad amount of time discussing every sentence. This is a player acting like he's the top dog on the team when he has been a MASSIVE bust thus far. f*** him
