  1. How about: why can't anyone on our f***ing team hit? Thats who I blame
  2. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) nothing like good ole soxtalk overreaction i know we havent been good offensively at all, but you realize we are facing rauch in the bottom of the inning, right? Care to place a bet we go 3 up 3 down?
  3. I've never given up on a team this early. But they're done, this team f***ing blows. Best starting rotation we'll ever see completely f***ing wasted. Awesome
  4. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) If this game goes to the 12th I think they should consider putting in a position player to pitch. Right? Right? We already used linebrink
  5. The sox's starting rotation is going to lead the league in ERA and be last in Wins
  6. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) uhh, whats the point in pinch running for PK if the guy is just going to sit there? Ozzie was hoping we could get to Beckham so he could bunt him over
  7. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:14 PM) Well then KW should take him off the team. Ozzie has to pitch the guys are thare in the pen. Esepcially when it has been used up. Santos has shown me enough already. For RHP the order is now Jenks, Putz, Santos, Pena, and any righty in the minors. Cut him, dfa him, don't care anymore. He needs to be gone
  8. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:08 PM) Who the f*** should he pitch? Everybody but Santos has sucked and blown it this year. Honestly? ANYONE but linebrink. Literally anyone. I'd be ecstatic if linebrink never threw a pitch in a Sox uniform again.
  9. Well thats it for me. Never again. Sox games go off from now on if I ever see linebrink in a game we're not up by or down by at least 10.
  10. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 04:12 PM) That's ironic considering the thread you started last night. ding ding ding
  11. Considering he's the best active pinch hitter....I'm perfectly fine with him coming off the bench
  12. QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 12:10 AM) I could have used a million different terms to describe the people that booed Obama, and I'm sure that you'd have taken every one of 'em literally. You have only ever called someone a p**** when they literally lacked courage? It's not that black and white in real life, dude. The stuff that you choose to take issue with is hilarious, though. Its not an issue, I'm just trying to point out something stupid. Yes, i've called someone a p****, but usually for some type of logical reason where the word would actually make sense. Do you just call people p**** randomly? "Yo what up p****?"
  13. QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) You're reading too much into this. It's the same as me calling 'em p*****s. Does this really need to be explained? God, I hope not. Let me clarify that I could not possibly care less about politics. I would much rather watch paint dry as opposed to checking out threads in the Filibuster. I likewise could not give a s*** about politics, but your comment still makes absolutely 0 sense. What exaclty makes them cowardly or p*****s? By that definition, would sitting on your hands quietly make them national heroes?
  14. QUOTE (joeynach @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 10:58 PM) Nobody boo'd Obama at USCF. The poster didn't clarify that when he put the Sox hat on at Nationals Park he meant the Nationals Park crowd boo'd, not the crowd at the sox game watching it on the jumbo tron. What are you talking about? He got boo'd at the cell, thats been posted several times
  15. QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) I don't know. I mean, a reasonable person would never boo Obama for wearing a Nationals jacket in Washington DC on opening day. If that's true, then the Sox fanbase is a hell of a lot dumber than I thought it was. It was more than likely just a bunch of cowards that disagree with his politics. You could also throw in some serious retards that don't think he's a legitimate Sox fan, for whatever reason. Those people are few and far between, I'm sure. Wondering why its cowardly to disagree with him? I'm guessing if people boo'd Bush it would be incredible, right? /political BS
  16. So Jared Weaver is the Angels ace now, and they're not going to fall off at all? Mmmk
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 08:52 PM) He walked out and the crowd noise was about what you'd expect (mixed cheering and booing, people can't help themselves) then he pulled out his hat and put it on and the crowd looked stunned and started booing, then went back to cheering. I thought it was kind of funny actually, don't read comments on any article talking about this though because they are all stupid. He got booed at US Cellular when they showed the video.
  18. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Apr 4, 2010 -> 07:55 PM) Ugh, but you have to listen to Joe Morgan's analysis... Who is the other analyst with him tonight? He's embarrassing Morgan with his insight, and I think Joe knows it. "The White Sox....might have the best bulpen I've ever seen" -2008. Great job Joe
  19. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 02:45 PM) I stated he plays the high post. Of course he can hit the jumper. That's his offense. Face up game, jumper in your eye. Amare, while he doesn't have the same range(Bosh can stroke it from 3), he also plays with a lot more intensity and has no problems playing in the post. He does a damn good job of doing that too. My problem is, everyone's been wanting a low post presence for years. Bosh isn't that. Amare is. Both are good players, but I'd take Amare over him. Zoom summed it up perfectly in what I was trying to say. Tis true, Bosh can set up his own offense, but we have Derrick to create for him. Isn't that why we wanted Ben gone? So Rose can operate? Also, I think both of them are on par defensively(suckage), but give Bosh the nod in rebounding. I prefer the low post option to the shooting of Bosh. Injury history, age, shooting, rebounding, defense. Still taking Bosh, I don't think its too much of a stretch to think Bosh could dunk off a pick n roll with Nash. I also want a guy who will crash the boards with Noah to put back the drives that Rose misses over a guy who has a "fantastic" night with 8 boards.
  20. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 01:44 PM) Amare would be perfect for the squad in my opinion. Again, not a huge fan of Bosh as he plays in the high post anyway and we need someone thicker like Amare who rather throw it down on someone's head, but is able to hit the jumper on the pick and pop. Bosh can't hit a jumper? I'd rather have a big man who can play at least passable defense.
  21. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 10:39 PM) He was. I agree
  22. Peavy got lit up today, gets me thinking about how nice it would be to have ol' CR/AP back
  23. I'm worried as much about Teahan as I am about thinking Brian Anderson is gonna have a monster year. S-p-r-i-n-g T-r-a-i-n-i-n-g
  24. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Mar 16, 2010 -> 12:30 AM) I should be more specific. He is not showing a lot of that natural stroke that was advertised by his agent. That's all. To label him the Babe Ruth of Cuba was a gross overstatement. He never faced MLB quality pitching either so yeah maybe we should give him a break. But so far he is not worth the 2.5 mil a year investment. League minimum yes. If he was a dude in the draft coming out of high school, would he have made the league minimum as a first rounder?
