  1. Hey! look what happens when you don't run it up the middle on first down everytime!!! s*** opens up you stupid f***ing coaches The fact that our coaches/office considered cutting Aramashadu should cost all of them their jobs
  2. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 09:52 PM) yea doesnt make much sense to me If they don't think they can resign Lee (which they don't), then picking up Halladay + guaranteed 4 years vs. losing Lee after this year is good dealz
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 13, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) Like I said, unless Knox fesses up or Jay says something, it goes as a poorly thrown ball by Jay. And even then it won't matter cause 2 weeks from now, when people are back to blaming JC for the s*** season, they will forget why some of the INT's happened and just look at the (horrible looking) numbers. I compare it to a .240 hitter who hits the s*** out of the ball but right at people. Looks bad on paper, but there is more to it than just the raw numbers.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 02:30 PM) You may have missed the list of CFs the Sox have been running out there recently. you may have missed the massive sarcasm
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 01:19 PM) I have never seen a team more afraid of the last 2 minutes of the half than the Bears. For the entire time Lovie has been the coach, after the 2 minute warning its basically time to run the clock out, regardless of situation or score thats Lubby footbal - p****ball. Play it safe, and lose games.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 02:04 PM) Lovie isn't going anywhere. Turner will take the fall. Book it. And absolutely nothing will change with the team. As long as Lubby's in charge, the team will remain the same.
  7. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 07:54 PM) Just randomly thinking.... Hypothetically, lets say the Nets go 0-82 and don't get the first pick after the lottery drawing, do you change the system? I personally think the lottery is stupid, and yes I know the Bulls got Rose and this is somewhat sill for me to bring up. I've always felt the system is flawed and if a team has the worst record then they should get the first overall pick outright. Oth, the Bulls need a scorer or they won't go far in the playoffs "if" they make the playoffs. I think they need to go the other way. Everyone gets the same odds, no tanking, no good players wasted on s*** teams. Was San Antonio getting Duncan a bad thing? Are bad teams like the Clippers, Grizzlys, nets, etc better off getting high picks and then toiling at
  8. QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 25, 2009 -> 02:52 PM) My gut reaction is to disagree with the general concesus of this being a positive move. First of all Jones has a rep as player who dogs it, just ask Bobby Cox. He was almost certainly a roider who hasn't been able to cut the mustard lately. Now, he may be hungry and wanting to prove a point and could have a great year, but personally, I doubt it. I hope the concensus is right and I'm proven wrong, but this is the way I see this move. Low risk, lower reward. I'll take any player that "dogs" his way to 10 GG's. Low risk lower reward doesn't make any sense.
  9. QUOTE (1977 sox fan @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) Danks was dominant in 2008 ? he was 12-9 3.32era 195inn 182 hits 159 SO . WELL he was good but i wouldn't say he was dominant . Floyd pitched better in 08 then Danks or about the same If you ignore all stats besides the meaningless W-L, then yes, Danks was average.
  10. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 12:22 AM) I only used play action as one example. Even if you don't fake the run, Cutler should be more active in the pocket to avoid the pressure if he can, and that's something they did in Denver a lot. Aaron Rodgers has had it worse than Jay Cutler this season as far as offensive lines go IMO (and that's due to all of the multiple injuries the Packers Line has had compared to the Bears), and yet he has a QB rating above 100, albeit Ryan Grant is having an above average season with 4.4 yards a carry. So yes, I do think JC deserves SOME of the blame, obviously not all of it, but he has had a disappointing season, and I'm sure he would probably agree. He's a gunslinger like Favre and Romo who likes to throw it into receivers that may be double covered because he think he can get it into those tight spots, and obviously it has backfired for the most part. Donald Driver & Greg Jennings vs. Devin Hester & Johnny Knox. Not to mention that A-rodg gets sacked half the time because he holds the ball for 90 seconds. Cutler avoids plenty of rushes, exponentially more than any qb we've had the past several years, but he can't escape it every time. I just don't get it really. One series, Cutler will march down the field 80 yards looking sick, then the next series we'll go 3 and out with a failed WR screen, a run up the middle, then a slant for 3 yards. Why can't we run the plays that march us 80 yards? Why does the coaching staff insist on shoving plays that haven't worked all year and will never work? Why do we call a WR screen that starts -2 yards when we need 8 for a first down? Why is it we run the same set of 3 plays every time in the red zone when we have 3 big and fast TE's?
  11. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 06:34 PM) I guess Bears' fans thought that with the addition of Orlando Pace, and Chris Williams coming into his 2nd season, things would be better on the O-Line, hence the high expectations. But it goes both ways IMO. Yes, the offensive line has been bad, but Cutler should be used to that by now, so he should escape the pocket more and make plays on the run as Shanahan used to have him do with the playaction back in Denver quite a bit. But then I guess people are going to say well Ron Turner isn't letting him do that. What defense is biting on a play action with a RB who gets Cutler is the absolute last (or 2nd to last next to Briggs) problem on this team. But far too many "fans" are too stupid/ignorant to realize that there is slightly more to the game than the QB. But by all means, lets keep blaming JC, boo him, run him out of town, etc etc and not worry about the high school level secondary and o-line we have, or the GM that makes the "deal" for JC and then doesn't spend another cent upgrading anything else on offense, or the coaches who insist on running the same 4 plays on shuffle to the point that every team knows whats coming. Love me some stupid bear fans. Also, we should just start taking 2 knees or kicking the FG on first down in the redzone since we insist on wasting the first 2 plays of every series and then get pissed when JC has to force something. Good stuff
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 11:42 PM) Why is Cutler feeling the need to force the ball so much lately? Because we have a highly inept offensive coordinator who refuses to use our mobile QB and great TE's in the redzone. Everyone in the stadium knows what is coming when we get inside the 10: run up the middle, run up the middle or MAYBE to the outside/pitch, then let cutler use his arm and legs to make a play. That results in forcing it. God i hate every coach on this team
  13. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) Cutler f***ed up. He threw 2 picks that were on him. Sorry if I don't blame Cutler for Hester falling down. Or Davis getting bumped out of the play. Or Hester stopping on the check down. Cutler did f*** up. But his band of morons around him have something to do with the level of play. Its not like he forgot how to play QB when he came here. He is a pro-bowl QB who happens to be on a high school talented squad. People can't seem to get past that unfortunately. The entire team sucks, yet it somehow all falls on Cutler. Sad stuff.
  14. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 10:24 PM) It's really hard for me to believe that Cutler can be this bad. Good, because he isn't
  15. alright guys...you know what time it is. Run Forte up the middle baby!!!!!
  16. great discipline guys!!!! Way to be, not a close game or anything
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) Don't get me wrong guys, I like Cutler a hell of a lot more than I did Orton. However, he needs to get his composure back right now. He's having a dreadful game and has now missed a few easy passes to go along with his picks. See this is the exact argument I don't understand. If 3/4 of his picks are not his fault and everyone around him is failing...why the hell is it his fault? Logic fail. The receivers, o-line, and coaching staff need to get their composure back.
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 09:52 PM) Only one of the INTs tonight (the red zone) was actually Cutler's fault. And I'd even debate that one. Turner put Cutler in the position where he had to force something or waste another nice drive. But the good ol' media will make it out to be Cutler is the worst QB in the history of the game, dumb fans lap that s*** up, and we run him outta town in a couple years.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 09:48 PM) I could have sworn it was #87 on that play. does that change the fact that it was PI? In other news, someone who is taping this game PLEASE run through and count how many s***ty screen plays we run. I'd say at least 1-2 per series
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 09:43 PM) Wow, that was a terrible throw by Cutler. He really needs to start getting a lot more criticism. I wonder when the media will start with the Good Cutler/Bad Cutler like they started with Rex. Yeah that would be a fantastic idea. This f***ing coaching staff needs more criticism, not one of the few decent offensive players we have.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 09:46 PM) Defensive player had every right to that play, IMO. Of course, throwing downfield to K. Davis probably isn't a recipe for success. He has the right to the play...as long as it doesn't involve contact with Olsen so he doesn't have a play on it
  22. HEY HEY you f***ing idiots. 3rd and 11.....gasp....throw 11!!!! and get 11!!!! wowzerrrrz
  23. I think the bears should be renamed the p****'s for as long as lubbie is in office. Will we ever throw the actual amount of yards we need for a 1st down? 2nd and 8? -2 yard screen. 3rd and 7? -3 yard screen. Keep it up guys, its working
  24. Attn Lubbie: Your timeouts don't carry over and you can't cash them in at the end of the game. Feel free to use them with 1min left in the half
