  1. Don't start the negativity already Hawk! You were such a winy b**** in the Yankee series, I can't take it again.
  2. There really is no excuse to play Griffey. There must be something we don't know.
  3. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) By the time Farmio is done with the call, the TV should catch up.
  4. Personally I'm still worried. We're 4 and 5 at Kansas City this year, 1 and 5 at Minnesotta and yes while 5 and 0 against Cleveland at home this year, they're playing a lot better now. The KC series has the potential to eff everything up. Thankfully Minny is actually playing worse than us, so there's still hope.
  5. Josh Fields needs to be traded to the Texas Rangers. They like their young home run hitters down there. He strikes out too much and plays a lousy third. The current White Sox don't need another player that is slow, bad defensively, and only hits homeruns. Enough of that. Besides, Crede will still be here next year, along with Juan as his backup, IMHO.
  6. QUOTE (Felix @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 02:07 PM) If Morneau wins the MVP, I promise to kill something. He didn't deserve it in 2006, and he doesn't deserve it this year. Other than him, I couldn't care less who wins it. Q deserves it, but this injury probably killed his chances (even though we wouldn't even be in this race without him). Oh, and while Alexei has been great this year, he's the third best offensive option for Rookie of the Year. Both Longoria and Denard Span have been better. Why doesn't Morneau deserve it? It seems like whenever I'm reading about the Twins, that it's Morneau coming up with the big hits and scoring all the runs. He's pretty goddamn good.
  7. Let's get to this Hughes kid early. None of this going through the lineup once or twice before we "figure him out" bull****.
  8. Pettitte is 0-4 with a 7.15 ERA in his last four starts, and the Yankees are 1-8 in his last nine outings. He pitched 4 2-3 innings last Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels, allowing four runs - three earned - and nine hits. Lets get em...pull that needle out of his ass and wipe that eyemakeup off his face!
  9. 2008 White Sox: Softball is the new Baseball
  10. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) Tonight is halfway to St. Patrick's day. I hate the green unis I like the green uniforms...especially the free hats (even though last years looked a little girly and they always have that miller light patch on em).
  11. Yes, all well said...JD is consistently good and goddamn has his fielding improved with his health. He just doesn't inspire a rabid following. He's not flashy. I wish I could love him as much as I love CQ or AJ, but I just can't. My heart can't convince my mind.
  12. How do you guys muster up any positivity? Bless you. I hope you're right. Yesterday was the darkest day of White Sox baseball this season. So far.
  13. Is there any doubt that if Paulie returns as quickly as they suggest he will have lost his swing and will go back to pop outs, fly outs and strikeouts? I'm not a Paulie hater, but really doesn't that seem about right?
  14. The real cause for concern is how this screws up the pitchers and their rest. Javy won't be able to make his next scheduled start, so a callup will probably get the start. Rain could be costing us a game like it did with that Orioles game.
  15. The question is how long do you keep Griff in center with his terrible defense if he's not producing offensively? I say, short leash. You get the same sub-average offense from Brian Anderson, but at least your defense is three times as good. Actually I don't think they've announced it, but I'm expecting them to be playing Griffey in center everyday. That is until the "general soreness" resurfaces and he takes himself out.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 07:55 PM) I was thinking he might require your services after injuring his right hand/wrist. Well done.
  17. Does anyone have video of this at bat? I'd be interested in seeing it. Sounds like Q needs a tall glass of milk to help strengthen those bones. I have some white liquid I could give him. As long as he doesn't ask questions...we'll be fine. Oh, and I'm surprised how no one has mentioned this brilliant piece of strategy by Q. Knowing that this team needed something to rally behind to push us into the playoffs and eventually the World Series, he breaks his wrist on purpose, knowing it will heal quickly in time for him to hit the game winning HR to win the pennant. What a story! Comeback player of the year, MVP, I know he's not a rookie, but let's give him that too!!! Brilliant Carlos! God Damn Brilliant.
