  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 03:09 PM) Hard not to pull for the guy. Yeah, it was a good article, but it's also hard to understand why he's been so good. It's a bit frightening, but I'm trying not to think about it.
  2. QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 12:34 PM) This technique is called "Pitching like a Pussy" I think I heard Steve Stone say that on the broadcast. Then Ed Farmer went on to talk for 50 straight minutes without taking a breath.
  3. New to the site, and let me say that the schedule as a wallpaper is brilliant. Downloaded it immediately. Well done fine sir! Thank you.
  4. Any predictions about Griffey's performance tonight? How many homeruns? How many errors? I'll predict 1 HR and 0 errors, just to start him off on a positive note.
  5. Somewhere in the bowels of U.S. Cellular, Brooks Boyer is unpacking thousands of Nick Swisher bobbleheads and going to town on them with a black sharpie.
  6. I don't mind giving up Massett at all, and staring at that thing on Richar's face for an enitre baseball season was not something I was looking forward to. I can't say I like this deal, until I know where they're going to put Griffey. One thing is clear. Griffey is going to sell tickets, and I do believe attendance has been down this year. The White Sox needed a way to bring in some fans, and winning a World Series only worked for a couple of years. Still, considering what we gave up...not a bad gamble.
  7. Well said IlliniKrush. I don't think I would ever boo Konerko because I believe he does try. He's just a tremendous head case. The team should employ a psychiatrist and have them in the dugout right next to Herm Schneider. And it should be a she. And she should be hot.
  8. I thought it was nice that CQ merely hit a single last night, allowing JD all the glory of putting the Sox ahead. Letting others share in his greatness, is one of his better qualities and why I'm totally gay for him as MVP. JD does get him a good run for his money, but he's just so 2005.
  9. Yeah, Wasserman is good in triple A, but just can't seem to get over the hump in the Big Show this year. Let's hope his luck has changed. I'd like to know why they didn't bring Russell back up. Not sure why they didn't use him more often when he was up. I'm gonna miss old man Linebrink, but I'm glad that it looks like injury is the cause for his decline in pitching rather than just sucking inexplicably (I'm looking at you Nick Massett).
