  1. That's the problem, though. There are a whole shitload of people who bought antennas and tried to watch OTA, and could not. People in the city, people in near suburbs, etc. People who SHOULD be able to get the game, but cannot. Because for the 100th time, radio broadcast signals aren't reliable in 2024. The availability is garbage because of the station they have broadcasting for them in the Chicago area, and the geography of the Chicagoland area. Not to mention, people with older televisions are completely SOL because of the video format they are broadcasting... even if they can get a signal. I really don't care, because I'm technically savvy, and will just watch sports on the internet, with a VPN. But this launch is an unmitigated disaster for most people.
  2. Actually, the OTA issues with this channel seem to be specific to the morons running it. Which is why a lot of people can get all the other channels, and not these. They went with a bottom of the barrel broadcaster for the broadcast out of Chicago. WJYS sucks and according to an insider, could barely pay their bills. Which is why their station has had nothing but trash, and has nothing but trash aside from CHSN. They broadcast TEN channels on a single signal and nobody else is doing that. This is why you have people who are in the Chicago area....getting a better signal from the South Bend broadcast. There are actually people in Michigan who are getting the broadcast from South Bend, when people in Chicago are not. WNDU is a much better broadcast station, and it shows. Again....clownshoes operations.
  3. Except that's just not how it works. Again....there are people who just cannot get a usable OTA signal where they live. Column: Are the Blackhawks, Bulls, White Sox antenna-worthy? (chicagotribune.com) Here's someone who works in the industry and actually has connections that COULD do exactly what you just suggested, and he was SOL.
  4. Where is the personal attack in my post? Sarcastically saying "genius"? lol
  5. You do realize that it has nothing to do with "figuring out how to use an antenna", right? That there are places where you just can't get a good OTA signal, even though you should be able to? That's the funny thing about radio waves. They don't pass through things very well. Sources of Obstructions and Interference for Antenna TV – Tablo (tablotv.com) Valleys, trees, large buildings, what they built your house out of. Sources of interference? Power lines, Cell towers, LED lightbulbs(LMAO), Rain, Snow, Sleet, Fog, Clouds. You know what else causes OTA interference? LTE and 5G cell signals. Yeah, that's right. Your cell phone. Here's some more for you. Washers, Dryers, Garage Door Openers. Would you like some more? Sure. Industrial parks, shopping malls, big department and grocery stores. THERE'S A REASON TELEVISION MOVED AWAY FROM OTA. It. Isn't. Reliable. In the year of our lord 2024, there are quite literally a million things that could be interfering or obstructing your OTA signal. This isn't user error. It's fucking SCIENCE. OTA signals work via....line of sight. Holy s%*#.
  6. Blackhawks fans are going to be the best source right now. Of the active posters on the fan forum I'm on, there's not a single person who isn't having issues with OTA.
  7. The number of people I have talked to that can't get a stable signal, even with a good indoor antenna, far, far, far outnumbers those who are having no issues. How many Reinsdorf water carriers in here have actually TRIED watching these channels? There are people living in the South Loop in sight of Willis Tower that can't get a signal. Lol It's an unmitigated disaster and anyone defending it is a fucking imbecile.
  8. Yeah, I mean, guys weren't hitting 60-70 HRs when jacked taking steroids or anything.
  9. Hire my own coaches and trainers and ignore everything the White Sox tell me.
  10. He needs to hit the weights and bulk up. He's already slow and can't get much slower. He's already a s%*# defender and can't get much shittier. At the very least, he needs to hit home runs. Otherwise he's useless.
  11. Well that's good. At least there's a 60hz option. Until the Bulls and Hawks play at the same time, that is.
  12. Which channel is the Blackhawks game on tonight? 62.2 or. 3?
  13. So we will be listening to a whole bunch of hand-picked Reinsdorf shills? Awesome. Lol
  14. Only ATSC 3.0 currently broadcasts at 1080p and 60hz, from what I understand. Most televisions don't have a tuner for ATSC 3.0, and very few stations broadcast on it right now. The majority of channels are going to be 1080i at 30hz or 720p at 60hz (which is much better for sports). Its just a joke. Absolute clownshoes.
  15. As it fucking should. I cannot stress how absolutely awful sports is at 1080i and 30hz. It's basically unwatchable. The production quality is exactly what you would expect from a Reinsdorf operation, as well. The studio looks like someone's fucking garage, complete with a cheap ass looking desk and possibly the most uncomfortable looking chairs I have ever seen.
  16. By the way, Channel 62.2 is going to broadcast at 1080i and 30hz. That's right ladies and gentlemen.....a 30hz sports broadcast in 2024. Lol.
  17. Reinsdorf owns the network. He bought Stadium last year. A Reinsdorf sycophant is running the network. I don't know what part the Wirtz family is playing in all of this, but it sure doesn't seem like much.
  18. The website is being used to show how absolutely incompetent they are, at even the most basic aspect of a network launch. This is a website that high school kids all around the country are making better versions of on a daily basis. Let that sink in for a minute.
  19. Technically, the website is up. Though, it's basically just a poorly executed copy/paste from the placeholder website. Just amateur hour, like I said.
  20. Streaming options are really not that difficult. Fucking minor league teams are able to figure this out. Plenty of teams have gone before them, and squared away the streaming options right off the bat. They're in over their heads, because, once again, nepotism rules the day. Stadium was a Mickey Mouse company, and they have the same guy running this, as they did Stadium. Just another poorly run Reinsdorf corporation, well behind the times. Nothing to see here, really. A functional, professional looking website might be the lowest hanging fruit possible, in 2024, by the way. The fact that theirs is so fucking amateur speaks VOLUMES to the quality of this venture.
  21. It's 2024. What are the options to stream my favorite teams as of now? Oh, there are none? Cool, cool.
  22. This network was likely launched as inexpensively as possible, with a bare bones staff. Because of course Reinsdorf would.
  23. Lol. I spent three minutes on their new "website", and I've already found 4-5 errors. Don't get too excited. They went from something a high school kid in web design could create in a single class, to something that student created overnight for homework.... (yes, I have web design experience) They can't even proofread or QA before launching. The very first section of their FAQ says: "We recommend you visit this website for guidance on selecting and installing an antenna and scanning for channels." They forget the actual website/link. That high school student's grade just dropped to a B. Their OTA channel list isn't even up to date: Chicago, IL: WJYS, 62.2 and 62.3 Rockford, IL: (Coming soon) South Bend, IN: (Coming soon) Milwaukee, WI: (Coming soon) Grand Rapids, MI: (Coming soon) Des Moines, IA: (Coming soon) Champaign/Springfield, IL: (Coming soon) Paducah, KY: (Coming soon) Cedar Rapids/Davenport, IA: (Coming soon) Peoria, IL: WHOI, (Coming soon) Sioux City, IA: KMEG, (Coming soon) Quincy, IL: WTJR, (Coming soon) Indianapolis, IN: (Coming Soon) Gray Television’s CBS affiliate WSLN (Ch. 23) in Rockford and NBC affiliate WNDU (Ch. 16) in South Bend, Ind. were announced two weeks ago, and no mention on their "website". Now that student's grade is a C. I'll just stop there, as it's more than enough to prove my point. As I said, amateur hour bullshit.
  24. It's nice that your standards are so low. Jerry appreciates customers like you. lol
