  1. You mean hiring a 77 year old guy, with health concerns, and a history of alcohol abuse, was probably a terrible idea? You don't say. People have been questioning his health and mental health since....he was fucking hired. This is just such a shocker, right? Just reinstates what a TERRIBLE FUCKING HIRE this was to begin with. I don't wish ill upon TLR, but I'm sure he will be fine. This reeks of giving a guy a respectable out, for someone who never should have been hired to begin with.
  2. Not sure why we're even entertaining this, at this point. They just dropped 4 straight at home to the Dbacks and Royals...
  3. Vaughn the full time 1B. Abreu gone. Sheets and Eloy switch off at DH/LF. Then find a real, legit fucking RF and 2B. You know guys aren't staying healthy, so you can absolutely carry all three of those guys. It would be stupid to trade any of them, because they have more value to the Sox than they do in a trade. But you have to move on from Abreu. He's gonna fall off a cliff any day now. The Cardinals said goodbye to Pujols, the Sox can do it with Abreu. I mean, they let Frank Thomas go, FFS.
  4. Jose Abreu has...six home runs at home. SIX. Jake Burger has that many.... in 29 games. You almost have to move on from Abreu, because the power numbers are just non-existent. I don't think he replicates his OBP or BA next season.
  5. Who is ready for Sheets and Eloy to get the day off tomorrow? You guys know it's happening.
  6. Cairo just as terrible as TLR. One run down and using garbage time scrubs. Of course they give up 5 more runs. It's amazing.
  7. Honestly, I just tune in now to watch Eloy and Sheets possibly kill the ball. There's really nothing else.
  8. It's possible. Kelly might end the season with a WHIP of 2 and an 8+ ERA.
  9. Joe Kelly cost the Sox $7M this season. He will make $9M next season. For what is essentially a garbage time relief pitcher. At least LOLeury is cheap.
  10. LOL! You have him behind in the count and throw him a hanging change right down the heart of the plate.
  11. Time for KC to really blow this open. What better way than against Gas Can Kelly??
  12. You don't have to be a doctor to realize this. You just have to have had grandparents and great grandparents.
  13. This is where coaching comes into play. Helping a young player out of his funk. The White Sox have no idea how to help him, or are just completely incapable of doing so.
  14. Vaughn is broken. Just has no clue up there anymore. Chalk up another one for Frank the Tank.
  15. Is it just me, or did it look like Pollack might have got to that? Or Sheets even, if he didn't dive 3 seconds early?? Yeesh.
  16. This is Reinsdorf we are talking about here. This could be all about protecting La Russa's legacy and giving him an out that isn't being fired. Even JR can't be stupid enough to believe TLR can be back here in any capacity next season. I definitely believe there are health issues, because he's like 80 fucking years old, and a heavy drinker. But the timing seems quite suspicious.
  17. He went to AAA where they told him it's OK to pull the ball and hit homers if that's where they pitch you. They might have also told him "Fuck that Menechino guy".
  18. First pitch swinging on a guy who has control issues. Zero gameplan.... Lol Stone and Jason are talking about this guy and all I'm thinking is...take a pitch or two, make him throw strikes. So obviously you want to swing on the first pitch. These hitters are getting zero strategy, zero insight, and zero help up at the plate.
  19. Might have left Singer in a few batters too long. He was throwing BP up there and getting hammered. Maybe Stone is onto something. Sox should give everyone a trip to the minors to remember how to hit... They certainly aren't getting that instruction here.
