DeLoach and Iriarte recalled for roster expansion
Paulie4Pres replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
So, keeping with the theme of worst of all time, the Sox are going to deploy the worst DH combo of all time? Might as well. -
Top 5 most idiotic thread on Soxtalk ever.

Let's also not forget that "medical professionals" are almost entirely responsible for the opioid epidemic in this country. -

Exactly my point. The White Sox can't even hire competent baseball people. What the f*** makes people believe any other department is different? Especially when you're not willing to pay market value for any employees?? -

There are medical professionals that legitimately thought Ivermectin should be used to treat COVID. There are medical professionals who pushed the vaccines causing autism bullshit for decades. I had a "medical professional" I went to see once, who didn't understand that 16 Oz. of coffee per day was not 16 cups.... These are the kinds of medical professionals the White Sox employ. Medical professionals can be imbeciles just like any other profession. -

Just for the record, what are you a doctor of? Because, no offense meant, but my physical therapists for sports related injuries always left s%*# like this to the experts. Like, orthopedic surgeons and such. -
I remember thinking to myself, and perhaps even posting, be careful what you wish for, when people were clamoring for Hahn and KW to get fired. Sometimes it's painful to be right.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record

When I made this thread a few days into the season, I honestly never imagined we would see the worst team in Major League history. But here we are. -
9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)

Seriously. What did they see in him? An awful swing, and he can't defend AT ALL. There's literally nothing there. -

I just don't know how anyone with a clue about baseball could look at any aspect of Vargas' game and think....that's the guy we need back in a trade. He's a zero tool player. -
You work for the Sox, don't you? I don't see any other way an objective observer can be this optimistic.

And let's not forget, this is HIS farm system and player development. It was literally his fucking job before being gifted the GM role. -
I've made no such claim at any point in this thread. Also, thinking school shooters are simply kids who think they can get away with anything without repercussions is an absolutely insane perspective, considering most of them are suicidal. There's a lot more wrong with someone that is willing to shoot up a school than not being disciplined as a kid. Maybe if parents were better at dealing with their children having severe emotional, social, or behavioral issues, and getting them the help they need, half the country wouldn't need to hit their children, and kids wouldn't shoot up schools...? Educate yourself, please. Perhaps talk to a couple child psychologists in the process.

Good thing the guy in charge of those prospects and player development is no longer in that role. Too bad he's now the GM, in a position where his incompetence has a much larger impact. Fucking clownshoes organization.
-
This is just fucking lol. How about doing all of this(like a lot of parents do today, where BOTH parents are typically working full time?), and also supporting your kids at sports? Weird how parents who have less time/money than any parents at any points in the past (thanks Boomers) can manage to do it, isn't it?
-
How old are you? Because growing up on the south side, that was not my experience AT ALL. What are you, 70?
-
This is not even remotely normal, and that's not just "the way it was". There's a gaping chasm between parents living their sports dreams through their kids, and parents being completely absent from their children's sporting events... You go to their sporting events to show your support for them and that you care. Hopefully you don't have kids, if you think never attending their games is acceptable.

I just find your constant criticism of the posters here who are, QUITE UNDERSTANDABLY, pissed off and fed up with this organization, to be absolutely fucking absurd. This is the worst team in a century, and you expect people to ...what? Celebrate when they win one out of every 4-5 games? Come off of it already.
