  1. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ May 5, 2010 -> 07:22 AM) Did Lapidus really die? From that door hitting him? If so, WEAK. Yea, basically I think when the door hit him, he was knocked out, but since he was just laying there he more than likely drowned and went down with the sub. :'( Am I the only one disappointed that Frank Lapidus didn't live long enough to grow that awesome beard back? I think in honor of Frank Lapidus, we all ought to grow a beard similar to the one he had in season 4 and shave it off after the finale. Who's with me? :
  2. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 4, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) Walt is still alive too. And does Aaron count? Ah! Totally forgot about Walt! I was always a bigger fan of Michael, and when Michael died I kinda forgot about Walt. And Aaron... yea I guess he does count since he was in Claire's womb when the plane crashed.

    Moving

In the south suburbs, avoid Harvey and Ford Heights. There's lots of crime there. In the south side of Chicago, one of the worse neighborhoods of the city is Englewood, try and avoid that, too. In terms of danger and crime, I'd prolly rank it like this: 1. Englewood, 2. Ford Heights, 3. Harvey. These are suburbs I really like and I'd move to: Tinley Park: lived there most of my life. Orland Park: in close vincinity to Tinley. My only complaint about Tinley and Orland is that there's too many big rich people's homes. Orland Hills: little town tucked in Tinley/Orland. Oak Forest Midlothian Homewood: great diversity, I'd raise kids here if I had kids. Matteson: I'd also raise kids here if I had kids. Country Club Hills Oak Lawn: nice busy and centralized location. Hometown: tiny town with small duplexes tucked near Oak Lawn. Bridgeview: nice busy centralized location. Justice Hickory Hills Worth: I love this town. Chicago Ridge: great location, nice smaller homes. Evergreen Park Blue Island: This is the only town with a historic district that impressed me. Burbank Alsip South Holland: I love this town, great diversity and nice older homes. Hammond, Indiana: I love Hammond, close to the casinos and it resembles 95th street in Oak Lawn and Cicero Ave through Midlothian/Oak Forest. All the towns above are towns I would move to, if you have any questions about any of these towns, ask and I can try my best to answer them. I've lived in the south suburbs all my life and I've been all over. One town I would stay away from is Crestwood, because apparently there's a lot of people coming down with cancers because of the contaminated water supply in the village.
  4. Tonight's episode was so sad :'( RIP Sayid, Frank, Sun, and Jin. :'( Now the only survivors of the original crash of Oceanic Flight 815 are: Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Claire, Rose, and Bernard.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ May 4, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) With the island under water in the ALT, I'm assuming Eko would be in Africa as a fake priest still. Hmmmm, but it seems like things are not always the same in the alt and in the original reality. For example: in the original reality, Charles Widmore works from an office in London, but in the alt reality, Widmore's office is in Los Angeles. Plus, the same can be said for Elois Hawkings, Daniel Faraday/Widmore, and Penelope Widmore. If all the Widmores are in LA instead of London in the alt, then it's possible Mr. Eko found some other way to get to LA in the alt, perhaps he was never a fake priest in the alt to begin with.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ May 4, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) The EKO flashbacks were awesome episodes. I too would of liked him to show up in the ALT. Curious what his role would of been had he stuck around. He and Locke had great scenes together in Season 2. Wouldn't it be cool if Mr. Eko appears in one of the last episodes of Lost in the AR, and he shows up with a crew trying to kill Sayid,... because he's Keamy's boss?!?!?! :-O
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 4, 2010 -> 01:06 PM) Didnt he play DE for the bears? lol, I guess I'm confusing my Adewales. :-/
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 4, 2010 -> 11:55 AM) I'm a little bummed it didn't work out. I think Eko was my 3-4th favorite character behind Locke and Ben and maybe Sayid. His backstory was one of the better ones I thought. Yea, plus I'm a big fan of the actor himself, Adewale Adeyooye (sp? long-ass name). I've been a fan of Adewale ever since I watched him play the sadistic and cold-blooded murderer Simon Adebisi in "Oz". In fact, the actor that played Michael Dawson (Harold Perineau) was also in "Oz" as the wheelchair-bound narrator character named Augustus Hill and it was the fact that Harold was on "Lost" that drew me to watching "Lost" in the first place. Also, there were a couple other actors from "Oz" that also appeared on "Lost": *The actor that plays Miles Straume (forgot his name) played a Chinese refugee named Xian Bixue in "Oz" *The actor that played Juliete's husband, Edmund Burke, played the character of corrupt Governor Devlin in "Oz". *The actor that plays one of the new characters of Widmore's crew in season 6, the wimpy-looking guy with black hair, played the character of Andrew Schillinger, the screw-up son of the leader of the Aryan Brotherhood, Vern Schillinger, in "Oz". Oh, and one more! The actor that played Matthew Abbadon in "Lost" played the character of John Basil, an undercover narcotics cop that used the alias of Desmond Mobay as a prisoner in "Oz". If anyone hasn't watched "Oz", I highly recommend it.
  9. Am I the only one that's disappointed that Danny Pickett, Tom Friendly, Bea Klugh, Juliette Burke, Mr. Eko, Ana Lucia, and Michael Dawson didn't show up in the Alternate Reality yet? .......I think it's creepy I still remember all those characters' names. :-/
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) Teahen is one of those guys available in fantasy leagues this time of year. He's a guy nobody can get excited about being a regular. And I even picked David Freese of the Cardinals instead of Teahen when I needed another 3rd baseman during the first week of the season. :-/
  11. I really wish he'd try Alexei at leadoff more, and put Rios at #2, Pierre at #9, and Beckham around #6.
  12. QUOTE (hogan873 @ May 3, 2010 -> 10:53 AM) The Sox play 26 games between today and the end of the month. Unfortunately, only 2 against the Twins and 2 against the Tigers. Since the Twins and Tigers are the two teams the Sox are "chasing", what must the Sox do this month in order to stay in the hunt? This 7 game homestand starting tonight is huge. They almost have to take at least 5 of 7. After that it's a strange schedule with a day off, 2 at MIN, a day off, 3 in KC, and 2 in DET. I would think the 2 in MIN and 2 in DET are almost must wins (at least don't get swept!). If the Sox have an abysmal May, it would most likely be time to call it and start looking for trades. But what must the Sox do, how many games must they win in May to keep their hopes alive? Considering the lack of match-ups with MIN and DET, they truly have their destiny in their hands. Thoughts? Here's what I think: Even though the Sox are doing very bad, they are still only 5 or 6 games back. If they can stay within 5 or 6 games back long enough for the team to come around and start clicking on all cylinders for a winning streak, then they can still be in the chase. In fact, if they're only 5 or 6 games back, they are still theoretically in the chase,... as well as the Royals, though. I'm willing to wait until the Sox are clearly out of it, and games become totally meaningless like in 2007. I'm willing to wait until the Sox get 20 games back because at that point it's "f*ck it" and time to have a firesale. So yea: If by the last week of July before the trade deadline, if the Sox are still 5 games back, keep the team intact. But if they're 20 games back, heads gotta roll.
  13. No thanks on Alex Gordon. I think he was overrated and I think he's a bust. I'd rather see the Sox get Alberto Callaspo, I've been a fan of his as far back as when he was with the Diamondbacks.
  14. Hell Yea! Great to see another win today! :
  15. He seems a little too stiff at 3rd base, he always seems to be standing straight as a board in every defensive move he makes. :-/
  16. Uh, I don't think KW deserves to be fired yet, c'mon I think he's been very successful he only had 2 losing seasons after 2005 (2007 and 2010). And he made some trades since 2005 that made the organization better: Floyd, Danks, Thornton, Quentin, Peavy, etc. Plus, a lot of people may hate how it affects payroll, but the Rios acquistion was brilliant. I honestly think it's really Konerko to blame for creating an atmosphere where the clubhouse revolved around Konerko/Thome/Dye that made newcomers (Swisher, O-Cab, Getz, etc) feel unwelcome and scrutinized. Seriously, O-Cab was a great player for the Sox, he was accustomed to being on winning teams with a winning clubhouse culture, yet when he arrived on the Sox the big boys (Konerko/Thome/Dye) alienated him. Sadly, even though I love Konerko and AJ, I think it's time for the Sox to move on and let them walk after the 2010 season and let a new era take over the clubhouse, an era led by guys like Beckham, Quentin, Rios, Peavy, and Danks. Plus, I think once Konerko and AJ are gone, KW is gonna make a big move for a big bat to play 1st base. The last couple moves KW made were mostly pitchers (Danks, Floyd, Peavy), so besides the move Rios, the Sox haven't made a move for a HIGH-PROFILE bat in a while, so I think we're due to see KW make a move for one. So yea, that's my case for keeping KW.
  17. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 09:05 PM) Ozzie's a blowhard. I really wish Pierre was benched, Jones played RF and Ozzie's retarded "Nix at RF" decision should've been "Nix at LF". >:-|
  18. I feel like changing the channel. I think it's STUPID to have Kotsay and Pierzynski pinch-hit instead of Jones!!! >:-|
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) Teahen is a miserable 2-19 vs LHP this season. He's really just a mediocre player who was a terrible fit for the Sox at 3rd. Yea, I agree. :-/
  20. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 08:32 PM) That called strike was way outside the zone on Gameday. Is he getting the calls? it looked very borderline.
  21. Yes! Santos k's Posada! Now lets get the next guy. :-|
