  1. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) I have a replica spinner title that I gave my little sister for her birthday.. its pretty sweet and yes, sometimes I do just drape it over my shoulder when im walkin around the house lol, yea, I can imagine I'd do the same thing. I even still have my old broken gold club, named Big Bertha (after the brand) from my old days of backyard wrestling. : I wish I had a singapore cane similar to the Sandman's, too. I noticed some are sold on ebay, lol.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) I don't mean to make fun of anyone, but those people who go to the shows with replica belts look like idiots IMO. lol, I would never do that. I just want one for display purposes or such. Similar to how I have White Sox jerseys, except it's more socially-acceptable to wear the jerseys out. :
  3. Does anyone here have any replica wrestling belts? I'm seriously thinking of getting replicas of the original ECW belts and I'm wondering if anyone else in here has any. Does anyone cut promos at home with it? :
  4. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 16, 2009 -> 09:06 AM) I'll be there tonight. Inhaling the ugly stench of urine. I'll be in the bleachers so maybe I'll catch a baseball, you know, when Zambrano tosses one in there during one of his hissy fits. ...or maybe when Milton Bradley throws the ball into the stands after doing a little posing when he loses count of the outs again.
  5. QUOTE (wilmot825 @ Jun 15, 2009 -> 09:42 PM) Milton Bradley forgets how many outs there are and runs off second base and is tagged out to end the 9th for a White Sox victory....while Ron Santo moans n groans on the air. Reading that made me wake everyone in my house from my laughing. :-D
  6. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 12:54 PM) When was the last time an MLB 1B hit 9th?? ugh, double-post, my bad.
  7. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 12:54 PM) When was the last time an MLB 1B hit 9th?? I'm making a wild guess here, and I think I'm misspelling his name, too... Mienkewicz?
  8. I'm very happy with the performances of all the players listed, but if I had to pick who to vote for, then it's Dye and Richard. Richard has really impressed me because no one really expected him to perform this well. Buehrle is a great pitcher, but he's expected to do well, Richard is expected to do poorly. So my vote went to Richard because he exceeded my expectations the most. Also, I'm thrilled with how Carrasco is doing in the bullpen. I remember some people on here in Spring Training saying that they hoped the Sox would get rid of Carrasco or send him to AAA. It's nice that Carrasco goes out and proves them wrong. He's a solid 6th-inning guy in the bullpen for us.
  9. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ May 25, 2009 -> 08:43 PM) Not shocking. Buehrle is an amazing person. I hope he never dons another jersey. Wait... I just turned on the Sox game, what happened to Q?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :-O
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 24, 2009 -> 07:39 AM) Last time I popped off about Fields' ineptness he came through, so I will do it again. 1 extra base hit in his last 88 AB. 0 in his last 47. As far as DeRosa, I can't see the Sox and Cleveland making a trade. I think the next guy you see at 3rd is Beckham. : looks like he came through with an rbi single today.
  11. QUOTE (dasox24 @ May 16, 2009 -> 06:09 PM) How come everyone always assumes we're the ones who would be so far behind technologically? Who's not to say we're the super-advanced society compared to what else may be out there? Actually, I think there's more technoligically-advanced species out there and less technologically-advanced species out there as well. I kinda feel like we're probably more in the middle of the road, but we can very well be one of the lesser advanced species just based upon how relatively young our technology is compared to ages of other planets that can be out there. I kinda expect the more older a planet is, the more likely there is more advanced technology compared to younger planets with younger civilizations. I mean, we've only been driving cars for about 100 years now, I think our technology is still a little primitive compared to what our technology can become in 200 or 300 years in the future.
  12. whoa, an inland hurricane? Has this ever happened before??? :-O
  13. QUOTE (chwhtsox @ May 10, 2009 -> 08:53 PM) I think you guys are blowing this way out of proportion... Sent from my iphone I agree, and I typed this message from my Sidekick3 phone, and all 400-something messages I posted on Soxtalk are from my cellphone. Plus, my girlfriend and I send each other about 100-200 text messages a day. I use text messages instead of actually calling people because I can't hear on phones too well.
  14. I know they pretty much suck, but what about Ian Snell or Tom Gorzelanny from the Pirates? The Pirates are never in contention, and unless they have a ridiculous asking price for Snell or Gorzelanny, it might be possible. I think both guys might be big projects for Coop, and if I had to pick, I'd prolly go with Snell.
  15. Odalis Perez seems like the type of guy KW would go after. :-\ I agree with an earlier poster about Edwin Jackson. It seems like we could've gotten him for Broadway. Any chance we can get Kason Gabbard from Boston? Or what about Justin Masterson? Masterson seems lost in the shuffle in Boston. Tyler Clippard in, I think Washington, is another pitcher who's potential I'm interested in.
  16. I think I just realized why women on the Others are unable to have children... I think somehow, perhaps because of Jack, the hydrogen bomb goes off, and it fills the island with radiation. ...and because of the side effects from the radiation, women on the island are unable to bear live children.
  17. I noticed I've been falling asleep during White Sox games a lot. Should I be concerned?
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 4, 2009 -> 09:29 AM) And hilariously, that happened. And so did six. I know because I own one. Pretty soon razors are going to be the size of your entire face, and have approximtely 237 blades. You'll just put it on your face, push the whole thing down and inch, and you're done. that reminds me of a MAD Tv skit.
  19. I actually use both, an electric razor and a regular razor when I shave. ...actually, my "electric razor" isn't really an electric razor, it's one of those things that is called a "beard trimmer". Anyway, what I do is I use my beard trimmer for my sideburns, moustache, and goatee, plus my cheeks. But I use the old-fashioned razor for everything below my jawline/neck area. Basically: everything above jawline= beard trimmer, everything below jawlone= old razor. I don't remember the name of the beard trimmer I use, but it saves me a lot of time and it's more precice with trimming a sideburn line than a regular razor can ever do.
  20. sheesh, this should only be a Sunday noon lineup, not a lineup for 7pm on national tv!!! >:-|
  21. Hey, they just said on tv that Dye only suffered a bruise and that x-rays were negative. Thank Quentin!!!
  22. I thought #1 was retired by the White Sox? Or am I confusing it with some of the other retired numbers? :-S
  23. This is awesome, hopefully it'll be like the CNN Presidential Election coverage with a big giant screen in front of the "analysts" showing the teams and their picks in an overview view.
  24. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 02:24 PM) I have not done it in ages, but I believe you can just call on the phone to the Sox charge line. I forget what time before the game the ballpark box office opens, but walking up early and asking is also a great way to check on these seats. If I recall correctly, when they tell you what is best available, they will probably overlook these last minute released seats. Once they tell you all they have through rest of park, ask if they have anything behind/near home plate and close to the field. They typically check again and say "oh yeah..." Not sure about trading tickets. Never tried that. Thanks a bunch for answering, Pants, I appreciate it. If you don't mind, can I ask one more question? About how much do these "players released" tickets cost? You said half off or something like that, but about how much would that end up being? Sorry for being a pain, I just never brought tickets for seats that close before.
  25. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 01:07 PM) One last thing. If you decide to go and don't mind a little uncertainty, wait until an hour or two before game time and see if there are any prime seats that got released by players at last minute. Some really great seats on the infield free up at face around this time. Wow, how do I find out about these seats at the ballpark? Do I go to the little ticket windows in front of the ballpark? And do I get to trade in ticket and pay the difference?
