  1. QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Apr 27, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) I'm working on half-sleeves on both of my arms. My best friend being a tattoo artist is pretty dangerous (and also cost-effective). I have a feeling that the next time my Sox-love hits a peak, I'll find somewhere to toss a Sox logo. I like BA's piece.. I like the bold colors. How about this... Get a Sox-themed tattoo consisting of a cross with script that reads "Only Quentin Can Judge Me". You'll be the baddest MoFo on the planet with that tattoo!
  2. YES!!! This is awesome! I'll be playing a poker tournament and I'll be able to watch the Sox game at the same time, I'll have the best of both worlds!
  3. QUOTE (juddling @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 06:19 PM) well...it's not another DUI for a Lost cast memeber but another one is being sued..... Lost star sued for sexual harrassment awww, poor guy, I think he only wanted her to be his constant.
  4. Brian Anderson should go to the All-Star Game, he can be Quentin's towel boy or something.
  5. Now please don't think I'm trying to incite anything, I just have a question... This is a "he said he said" thing, where someone told me sonething that someone else told him, so I'm actually the 3rd party. Anyway, one of my friends told me his college professor, who's from Ohio, told him that Thome used to beat his wife while he played for the Indians. Any truth to this??? I didn't know whether or not it was true, so I just pretended I believed my friend when he told me.
  6. Sweet, it ought to come on right after I wake up tomorrow. I set my alarm for 12:45.
  7. Sheesh, I was just watching some replays on the Sox Post-game show after the game, and I felt like I was watching some clips from that movie, "Major League". First you had Alexei with all his errors that looked like something out of a comedy movie, then you had "Wild Thing" Gavin Vaughn and all his wild pitches.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 09:08 PM) Vizcaino is probably done. I wonder who is next from Charlotte. Egbert threw over 50 pitches and raised his 18.00 ERA to 27.00. I would imagine he's going back to Charlotte. Maybe Link comes up. Charlotte is bad. I'd like to see Link, but is he ready? What's the scoop on him? Too bad the Sox released Franklyn German, this would've been a perfect time to call him up and see what he can do.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 08:43 PM) Hell no...that game salvaged the baseball night at least. Oh, and Greinke with another no earned run performance. I got Greinke in one of my fantasy baseball teams, I was very pleased with his performance.
  10. I think the Sox should take a chance on Vizcaino and plug him into the bullpen. I've already had enough of Egbert, and Vizcaino has got to be better than MacDougal. Plus, we should be able to get Vizcaino for cheap. What do you all think?
  11. ugh, I can't believe how bad the Sox are getting beat. This is miserable. I actually turned on the Cubs game to get a little enjoyment out of seeing them lose. Is that bad of me?
  12. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 23, 2009 -> 09:01 PM) ask bobby jenks where he gets his LOL, I would if I could.
  13. I was bored one day and using google image search because I was curious to see how the White Sox logo looked as a tattoo on people when I came across an awesome website that had some photos of some current and former White Sox players and their tattoos. Here's the link: http://bellabambinophotography.com/blog/?0414ace0 There's some photos of Dye, Anderson, Sweeney, and Sisco, plus non-Sox players such as Bill Hall, Justin Miller, and Joey Gathright. I've always been interested in tattoos and I thought maybe it would be a cool idea if we can make this an official "Sox players and tattoos" thread. It's always cool to know little details like this about players on our favorite team. Also, maybe we can use this thread to discuss our own tattoos? I currently have one, which is a barbed wire/shamrock biomechanical hybrid tattoo on my left arm by the shoulder. Waited 5 years before I got it, made many rough sketches, and got exactly what I wanted when the artist improved my design. I'm also currently planning on, and working on sketches for an abstract Anarchy symbol tattoo done tribal-style. Lets make contributions to this thread, everyone!
  14. ...Also, forgot to mention in my last post, but, if the Sox decided to add a 4th jersey to the 3 they already use, then I actually wouldn't mind the black one the used in that one "Jump to the Future Night" game. You know with the names sewn on sideways.
  15. My favorite Sox uniform is the black one. I think it's very sharp and I like how the white sox logo, number, and lettering contrast with the black background. Also, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I love that white cuff on the black jersey. I think we're all lucky that we have a team with such a cool logo that looks like a wicked awesome tribal tattoo, and awesome jerseys thanks to the sharpest color scheme (black/white/grey) in the major leagues.
  16. For the life of me, I can't seem to be able to find a Sox hat big enough for my head. I've checked everywhere, such as sports stores such as Sports Authority and Dick's, and even the biggest sized Sox hats are too tight on me. I just have a big head, and I wish I can get a Sox hat that was 8 inches or bigger. I'd like to wear one that actually comes closer to my ears instead of being almost 2 inches above my ears.
  17. jesus! I saw that hit on tv, I hope he's alright!
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 23, 2009 -> 08:19 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AsK7...o&type=lgns I wouldn't mind having Byrd on the team. If we got him, I think we ought to move Colon to the bullpen. I remember hearing Contreras can't warm up for a bullpen role.
  19. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 22, 2009 -> 09:39 AM) What does being non-union have to do with it? Most industries don't require the sales/customer service reps to pay unpaid bills. I think they do it to protect the establishments from having their waitstaff hooking their friends up with free food and then claiming it was a "dine and dash". It sort of also puts more responsibility on the waitstaff in making sure all tabs are paid. But I still think it's wrong. Also, I would never dine and dash, but not leaving a tip is something I would consider if the waitress/waiter was awful and rude.
  20. Eggbert seems like he's very nervous up there on the mound. He's making a lot of nervous body movements.
  21. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 21, 2009 -> 09:01 PM) I haven't watched all the games but all the other starters have pitched well in at least one of their starts, how bout Jose?Have all his starts been awful? The Sox need to give Jose more run support. 3 runs ain't gonna cut it.
  22. 1. Descriptive Astronomy 2. World Mythology 3. Western Humanities 4. Financial Accounting 5. Managerial Accounting Honorable Mentions: 6. Speech Fundamentals 7. International Business 8. Composition classes The only classes I really hated with a passion are: College Algebra, Biology, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Principles of Microeconomics. I still find it weird how I loved the accounting classes, yet hated the economics classes. It prolly had something to do with having really bad teachers. I really loved Western Humanities because my teacher was so cool. She gave me a lot of creative freedom on a research paper I had to write where I decided to have a little fun with it by writing a little story and using a ton of swear words in the dialogue. She gave me an A+ for it and didn't mind the swear words. Best teacher ever!
  23. wow, just wow. Before I read any other posts in this thread, I just want to say how impress I'm with Colon. Even though he just tied up the game, I think he's pitching a hell of a game. Also, it it just me, or does this almsot look like vintage 2003-Colon? It doesn't feel like we got the Colon that pitched for the Angels, it feels like we got the better 2003 version. HOME RUN!!!! Quentin!!! HAHAAHAHAHH!!!!
