  1. I'm pissed Lillibridge didn't let that ball hit him, the Sox could've won by Hit-by-pitch. >:-|
  2. I like to see recruiters wear more casual clothes. I just really hate seeing recruiters looking all professional in fancy suits, it just makes it look unneccessarily intimidating and makes me not want to inquire into the company. There are people like me that prefers less stringent dress codes at their place of employment.

    Planking?

*Walks in thread, sees people planking, stares blankly for a moment, then slowly walks out of thread.*

    Channahon

I never went to Channahon before, but I'll be going there for Warrior Dash on June 19th. If this thread is still around, I'll post what I've seen of that town. Honestly though, I never heard of Channhon before I registered for Warrior Dash, and looking on the map it looks a little too far from being considered part of the "southwest burbs". It literally looks like the middle of nowhere. :-/
  6. Are we talking about ignored as in utilizing the "Ignore" feature? Or ignored as in simply overlooked and kind of taken for granted? Btw, I never put anyone on ignore. Plus, I sometmes feel ignored.
  7. I'd prolly be too pissed off over the South Side team leaving the city that I'd prolly stop following them. I hate the Cubs, so my interest in baseball would prolly fall if the Cubs were the only team in the city. I'd prolly end up becoming a fan of the Detroit Tigers, but it'd be hard for me to ever follow their games because their games are not broadcast on local cable in the Chicago area unless they're playing one of the Chicago teams.
  8. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 9, 2011 -> 10:58 AM) I'm doing it June 11th in PA. Can't wait! : I hope you have fun! I've been preparing myself by building up my endurance at the gym. I'm not a fast runner by any means, but I can run 4 miles on flat terrain in 1 hour without burning myself out. I've been slowly trying to build up my endurance by going a little faster each time. I think I might enter the Spartan Race in October, but it'll depend on how the Warrior Dash in June goes first. :-)
  9. Hey everyone, I just registered a few days ago for Warrior Dash for the 3:30pm wave on Sunday june 19th. It seems like a lot of fun and I can't wait. Is anyone else doing it? I think I found a new hobby. I also noticed there's other mud runs run by other organizations such as Spartan Race, Mudathlon, Tough Mudder, and Muddy Buddy. Did anyone else ever participate in any of these runs? If so, how was it? The Mudathlon looks like it's more fun than the warrior dash because they have twice as many obstacles in the same distance on the course. To me, the more obstacles on a course that's 5 miles or under, the better.
  10. SouthsideDon48: My screen name kind of have a dual inspiration to it. First inspiration: the Southside part is obvious because I lived in the south suburbs all my life but I also really like the south side of the city anf the white sox. Don is my name, and 48 is my number that I use whenever I wear a team uniform, I got 48 on all my authentic Sox uniforms as well and 48 also stands for my initials, DH, which are the 4th and 8th letters of the alphabet. Second inspiration: Southside Don was a screen name/video game name I "borrowed" from this character named Southside Jim in this old arcade and SNES/Sega game called "Pit Fighter". I played the arecade game while I was downstate with my high school's chess team for the state chess competition around 2001 and I came across the arcade version of "Pit Fighter" and played it and managed to beat Southside Jim and I just liked the name Southside Jim so much that I coined myself Southside Don.
  11. Am I the only one that prefers Humber over Peavy? After the past 2 seasons, I've kind of lost faith in Peavy, so I'd rather stick with Humber, even if it means the Sox carries a 6-man rotation.
  12. I lol'd How the hell is Brian Matusz neck that long???
  13. Im at thegame and I'm sitting in section 318 I ate way too much ballpark food and I feel sick to my stomach now.

  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) He is. I can't stand Braden. He's just such a tool. lol, I actually like Braden. I became a fan of him for how he barked at A-Rod.
  16. Anyone have any idea which jersey the Sox are gonna wear today? I'm going to the game tonight and I want to wear the same one they're wearing. I think Buehrle usually pucks the black jersey, right?
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 11:31 AM) I hate to be Debbie Downer but it's gotten to the point with me now that whenever Mark pitches I expect a pretty weak performance. I'm expecting a down year for him. It's sort of like Freddy last year. Expect a weak performance and occasionally get pleasantly surprised. I nominate to the admins to change BigSqwert's nickname from "Chopper 2 Hopper" to "Debbie Downer".
  18. LOL, I love that Konerko commercial. For some reason it reminds me of "Lost" and Christian Sheppard. :
  19. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 02:16 PM) I hope someone in the press got a good shot of that and someone at the Trib/Sun Times makes it into a headline tomorrow morning. lol, that'd be awesome. Maybe with a headline like: "Hats off to the Sox, takes 3/4 from Rays".
  20. LOL, I was able to read Maddon's lips easily as he was walking away from the umpires, he said 3 times: "You're f***ing up, you're f***ing up, you're f***ing up." :
  21. That STUPID umpire got in the way!!! That would've been out #3 for Gavin at 2nd base. >:-|
  22. Would anyone like to see Topps make a baseball card with Vizquel donning that hat?
  23. I also missed the game, I was at work. What happened???
