  1. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Oct 8, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) How about Frank Thomas as a hitting coach. I thought that he said in an interview that he would do it. Also, that move would get a lot of support from White Sox fans. For bench coach, how about Fisk? I know that "no experience" again. But, catchers seems to make good coaches/manager. And again a fan favorite. When Kenny was asked about the possibility of Frank as the hitting coach on Chicago Tribune Live, he said: “I have talked about that with Robin and because we've had so much growth within our system and we got so many young players as well as guys trying to rebound, we are probably going to stay within the organization. We've still got to have some conversations on it and whether or not Frank is spoken to about or not, that'll be Robin's choice at the time. But I'm thinking initially, because we have history with some of our young players that have now come through and have performed well, we'll probably stick with that. But Frank will undoubtedly be welcomed to add any advice he has and he'll be part of the family because he is who he is and he's got a lot to offer.” http://www.csnchicago.com/10/06/11/Thomas-...mp;feedID=10338
  2. Looks nice, I would have preferred this pose though:
  3. Peavy story updated on ESPN Chicago with quotes from Ozzie: http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=6240184 I'm kinda glad Ozze's pissed. Peavy's all "I'm feeling good," "Only regular pitching soreness," but now all the sudden he admits he's been feeling this since after the Angels game? The dude isn't just playing Russian Roulette with his recovery, but with the preparation necessary for the season. It's kinda selfish.
  4. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) Here is a guy we should seriously consider: * Jeremy Bonderman- I know he isn't the 2006-07 Bonderman anymore- but as a 5th starter and some spring training tweaking- we may catch lightning in a bottle here. I liked the way he was throwing the ball late in the year as well. I'm definitely in favor of picking up Bonderman on a minor league deal.
  5. Always thought Mark was a classy guy. This comment was far from that. Should've just kept it to himself. Vick paid his debt to society, regardless of what you think of the crime. Does Mark get as mad about a Ray Lewis or a Donte Stallworth, athletes who killed people? I'd bet not.
  6. Doesn't sound like the Yankees have a 'big chance' to me, he doesn't want to go there.
  7. Wow, what a gift! 5 straight please, indeed.
  8. Oney said it perfectly on his own Twitter: http://twitter.com/OneyRoberto/status/10747065538
  9. My list: Dunn, Branyan, Cust, Ka'ahuie, Hermida, Damon, Thome.
  10. If we get a solid draft pick, who would you want to see the Bulls take? I'd really like Iowa State's Craig Brackins or Georgetown's Greg Monroe. Both are players with height, size and have offensive post games, things we desperately need. Brackins (6'10, 230) is a pro 4, versatile offensive game, can go inside/out. Monroe (6'11, 250) could possibly be a pro pivot, putting up some good numbers for the Hoyas (13.8ppg, 10rpg, 1.3bpg).
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 6, 2009 -> 01:04 PM) I would love to try to get Kila Ka'aihue, if he can be had. We have zero depth for 1B behind Paulie right now (in the minors I mean), unles Viciedo is a 1B. And having a lefty power bat would be helpful. His AVG dropped last year in AAA, but his other numbers are all pretty good, and I see a lot of potential there. This. I definitely wouldn't mind getting him.
  12. Great win the Bulls gutted out tonight. Bulls are now atop the Central division. Be real nice if they could stay there for awhile.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 07:23 PM) I see a 1-2 wild pitch coming up
