  1. Dodgers just brought in Garret Anderson.Minor league deal http://twitter.com/dylanohernandez/statuses/9954309785
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 09:17 PM) I actually want Bradley to succeed this year. It would only make Cubs fans even more bitter. Agreed, and don't tell anyone, but i really like his game too.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) I have a feeling they'll pick somebody who will make the stereotype of White Sox fans worse...*Sigh Whose got two thumbs and makes White Sox Fans look worse? THIS GUY! AMERICA!!!!
  4. I really actually like when Farmio, D.J. and Ranger get all causal. It usually only happens around rain delays, but a pretty good rapport exists between the 3. I imagine spring training will provide a similiar atmosphere, and i would listen were my computer capable of giving me sound while in safe mode.
  5. This is a significant improvement from last years rankings. Bill James really likes Danksy and TCQ.
  6. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) Weren't we rumored to be interested in Pinto at some point this offseason? Or am I just making s*** up again? Nah, but i've been harping on him for a while. That's probably where you got the name.
  7. I'm excited to see the Danks Brothers' Incorporated at work tomorrow. They should maybe start a band.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 04:51 PM) Do we even have any lefties like that, aside from those two? There's some interesting lefty's who are out of options, who'll hit waivers if they don't make the their respective teams. Renyel Pinto, Jeremy Sowers, Sean Henn, Pat Mitsch (i love his curveball), Doug Slaten. I think Slaten and Mitch are plausible options. I don't see Pinto and Sowers being exposed just yet.
  9. QUOTE (SI1020 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) Not really. He was good to be sure, but nothing special. A guy with gold glove defense who averages 16 bombs and 77 RBI's playing CF for the Chicago White Sox, a team that started Dewayne Wise on opening day last year, is plenty helpful
  10. QUOTE (AJUribe @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 08:43 PM) I can't wait to see Jones this year, great pick up by Kenny bring in a fading star with a lot to prove As opposed to an actual reliable DH. This move wasn't made in a vacuum, i liked it back when it made our bench stronger, not our offense more questionable. I am encouraged by him being in better shape though. We'll see how he responds in game.
  11. Gonzales recap of the game. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...impression.html
  12. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) THERE IS NO MEASURING STICK FOR INTERNET RIGHTNESS, but man, so many of you want to build one. On a side note, I just bought an old table saw today for 100 bucks and it rocks, it rocks. It won't be used to build that pointless measuring stick tho, I can tell ya that. Could you loan me that? It might help me measure dimensions to build a high horse that’s as large as yours.
  13. QUOTE (everafan @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) How is everyone getting the updates? Is there a gameday link? Cant find it on mlb.com. http://twitter.com/InsideTheSox http://twitter.com/MDGonzales http://twitter.com/cst_sox Also, in case anyone was wondering Daniel Cabrera still has no control.
  14. Rbi single by Viciedo to knock in Flowers. 2-0 Sox.
  15. Danksy stole a base too, and the man crush on Josh Kroeger continues unabated.
  16. QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:30 PM) Why does Coop deserve the credit for changing them? They were all crap before Ozzie managed them too. Maybe Ozzie fixed them? Ask yourself these questions in this order: Is Ozzie the pitching coach? Isn't it the pitching coaches job to fix pitchers? Were any pitchers made better while under the services of said pitching coach? Who is the pitching coach? If all of these questions have pointed you towards Don Cooper, you may move on in the course.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:23 PM) However, he succeeded with Iraq's Minister of Information Frankly, striker's very ambiguous as to just what kind of factor Don Cooper's had in Iran, but he's not willing to write it off at the present. I think he's taking a wait-and-see five years down the line, same with John Danks, see if that guy ever revives his career.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:14 PM) 4 of the names on that failure list were the #1 starter and the top 3 relievers on a World Series Champion. LOL More of Striker's Coop failure list: Sandy Koufax Nolan Ryan Iran's nuclear program The McDonald's Restaurant franchise Avatar at the Box Office. Brett Prinz
  19. Jones looks good in this video. He really is in better shape. http://www.twitvid.com/4A1AF
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) Honestly, I'd almost rather trade John Danks than Daniel Hudson in any Gonzalez/SD trade. With the way Danks1 has refused contract buyouts, he's almost certain to leave via free agency the first chance he gets. I dunno, i never got the impression that Danks' reluctance to sign a new contract is a statment about how likely he is to stay in Chicago. If adding John Danks would push the trade towards John, Jordan, and Flowers rather then Hudson, Jordan, Viciedo, and Flowers would you do it? I'd have to mull that over. For one, i'd need the guarantee of an extension from A-Gone.
  21. I don't buy the Beckham talk at all. I still think this trade is starts with a package of Danksy 2, Viciedo, Flowers, and the Padres want Hudson. That being said are we all in agreement that Beckham/Jones/Kotsay/Vizquel
  22. We really need some depth at the SS and LHP positons, but we're moving in the right direction as a system as a whole.
  23. I wonder if a bad spring from Jones and Kostay would be enough to get KW to relent and put Hudson in the deal for A-Gone.
  24. According to ESPN, the 1st episode will feature the debate over Thome. "The White Sox first reality show episode will feature an inside look at the team’s front office as they discussed the pros and cons of offering designed hitter Jim Thome a 2010 contract. Featured in the episode are general manager Kenny Williams, and assistant general manager Rick Hahn. The White Sox second reality feature will show White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf and MLB commissioner Bud Selig enjoying one of their many lunches together at their favorite Scottdale, Ariz., delicatessen. Here’s hoping the commissioner and Jerry don’t get themselves into a pickle, but we’re sure you’re going to relish this episode." http://espn.go.com/blog/chicagowhite-sox/p..._medium=twitter
  25. I like this one too. "Carlos Quentin is abusing Santos in their BP session. Looks great. A. Jones said, "Damn Carlos, you gonna make an out?" about 1 hours ago via txt
