    LOST!!!!

Maybe if i throw a nuke inside of a hole, half of last season will never have happened.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 12:42 PM) I almost got caught too. Yep, i hit reply, and saw the link. I smiled.
  4. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 11:35 AM) I guess it's a reminder that this planet hasn't run out of stupid fans. Oh, get the f*** off your high horse. Really? This is the tone you're taking here? It’s always great to condescend to people who disagree with you!
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 10:05 AM) Thunderbolt of all players to hitch your wagon to why Bradley? I was responding to a hypothetical question: Would I trade Linebrink for Bradley? My answer is absolutely yes. Realistically, however I don’t want Bradley. I don’t think we need him, and I think we should go in a different (younger and healthier) direction. That being said, if I’m given the offer of Brinkey for Bradley I do it. You never pass up on the opportunity to buy low on an OPB-oriented, switch hitting slugger in exchange for an awful reliever signed to an awful deal.
  6. I think the Bulls will do fine. I'm sure they'll tread water a bit without Gordon, but i can see them being competitive behind Rose, Salmons and Deng.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 06:32 PM) Dude, you guys need to get over stuff like this. I know it isn't easy, but just cause someones gay doesn't mean you have to talk to them any different. And I will say this is easier said than done, but I was once pretty homophobic and now I'm pretty far from it. And my best friend from age 3 into high school ultimately came out and is openly gay. I'm not best friends with him anymore but it has nothing to do with the fact that he's gay, we just evolved and have different interests but still keep in touch. I’m not saying I talk to him any differently. I’m just saying its changed things. We hang out just as much as we used to, but there’s a different dynamic too it. I don’t give a damn that he’s gay, it just startled me. It’s irrational to think that something like that, coming out of leftfield, wouldn’t alter anything in our relationship.
  8. Upton is still a giant ball of potential, while Crawford has it mostly figured out by now, and is a very good player. I don't think you can go wrong with either, they're both tremendous 5-tool players.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 09:12 AM) We also have to hope that the Sox make the right pick this time... I'm starting to trust Laumann, he's earned that. Let's just hope he keeps it.
  10. Reagan. One of the better president ever in my estimation. Not a whole lot to line in the list though.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 05:52 PM) I'm starting to come around to your line of thinking. Bradley would be a tremendous positive influence on the Sox younger players. They will learn how to deflect blame and come up with excuses for everything. I see your sarcasm. I instead choose to ignore it.
  12. Come on, Houston. Play your asses off.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 12:39 AM) Eh, we'll need to be leading in the late innings to necessitate a closer. That shouldn't be a problem for the rest of the year. True. However, we might be better served to stick Pena in their, or call up Link, and just see what happens it a pressure free major league environment.
  14. This team is such a blast to watch. Thanks go to Bacon (and Rios). Our goal now is to get this kid the ROY.
  15. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 07:52 PM) Eh... I thought it was kinda funny. I guess my skin is a lil thicker than others. I would be scared to say something like that though. I wouldn't wanna get smacked with a banstick... Hey, I made a Dick in a Box joke to someone on this board of an indeterminate age. I’m sure you’ll be fine as long as you don’t cross a line.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) From the Trib, good to see Flowers isnt playing again... Podsednik, CF Kotsay, DH Rios, RF Something is wrong here. Why is Pods playing the field at all?
  17. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) Have we faced him before? Or does it even matter anymore who we face. Held to one run or less in 4 out of the last 6 games ain't good for an offensive showing against anyone Yes, and i believe he kicked our asses for at least six innings.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) Seriesly? I bet he's beatsly.
  19. 2010 really is going to be awesome. We all thought we were a middling team going into this year, but the expectations rose dramatically when we got Peavy and Rios. This has been a let down, but a lot of positives have emerged.
  20. QUOTE (WCSox @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:30 AM) He's arguably better at getting kicked off teams than getting on base. If we're looking for a top-of-the-order guy with a high OBP to DH next year, I'd rather go with Pods. Comparing Pods and Bradley in the OPB category is a losing battle. Bradley takes him, hard.
  21. Anyone else excited to see what kind of pitching repetoire Hudson comes out of spring with? Right now, he has two set pitches, and is flirting with the curve, and a few other things. If we can get the Coop, Buehrle, and Peavy trifecta to work with him.... my god, will we have a pitcher.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:24 AM) Sure if he could actually stay healthy, not be distracted by, well, really anything, not fighting with his teammates, and actually hit. Let me put it this way. The Cubs are 16-9 without Bradley's OBP in the line up. Assuming we get Kotsay back (not sure how big of an assumption this is) we do have a pretty plausible back-up plan going into a season with Bradley. I think the main problem is that the media here has already turned against him (Bradley). It's going to be a hell of a distraction.
