  1. I'm sure Michael Saunder's tremendous bunting skills will take him places, Stoney.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) Good article. Rosenthal is the best in the business. Wow, Rosenthal is a big KW fan.
  3. I love Jayson's eye. He has great AB's, hopefully more hits will come from them.
  4. KW just confirmed that Kotsay is still on the team. Another nail in D-Wheezey's coffin.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 09:01 PM) Jesus, what in the holy f*** were they thinking with GM Jr? That dude made one catch and is set for life Maybe they'll want Dewayne Wise too.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) Steve Phillips just picked the Tigers to win the division because of their obviously superior pitching staff to the rest of the AL Central. The implosions of Washburn and Porcello are going to be a blast to watch. Assuming that Danksy shapes up, we’ve got the obvious edge over everyone in the division.
  7. Holmberg's been having some control problems all year. Hopefully, he settles down.
  8. In a perfect world, Mitchell will make it to Birmingham next year. Viciedo and Danks would be best served playing a whole year in Charlotte next year. This is assuming, of course, that Danks picks it up again, and doesn’t need to repeat AA. Flowers, however, should be ready to compete for a job come spring training.
  9. QUOTE (G&T @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 08:19 PM) Wait. So JP wouldn't make a deal when he could have gotten talent for him, but would then dump him for nothing? Both guys had different priorities. KW was trying to trade for Peavy, and Riccardi was trying to dump Halladay and Rolen.
  10. Kind of weird to see Fields and BA play against each other down in AAA.
  11. Now, that McCulloch isn’t going to Toronto, can we please promote him to AAA?
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 07:21 PM) Probably that he gets two starts in LF, one in center a week and is the #1 pinch runner. Yep, he's pretty much what Wise was at the end of last year. Except ten times more useful. Pods will be pretty key for us off the bench down the stretch, but he will get a lot of bats.
  13. QUOTE (Stocking @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 07:17 PM) Can you imagine if this means the end of Wise, Im gitty. If this doesn’t spell the end of D-Wheezy, Ozzie needs to be fired. honestly, after this move there is no place for him on the team. Kotsay has to stay, because he can play 1st, Pods is Pods, Nix is now our super-utility guy, and Castro is our backup catcher. Wise will likely be back with the team in September, but he has no place on this team for the next month.
  14. KW recognizes just how weak this division is. This is him going for the kill.
  15. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 06:51 PM) Wow. It isnt my money but I think it is being spent stupidly. KW I am your biggest fan but this one makes me scratch my head. I guess if I were able to see your bigger outlook on this whole situation I would feel different. Look at all the payroll we’re shedding next season. I assume that we’re going to continue integrating younger players onto our team, like we did the year, so that’ll save some cash. We’ll also have enough money to settle the bullpen and potentially, the 5th starter spot. In other words, We’ll be fine.
  16. This is one of the better White Sox transaction seasons ever. This is almost Bears-esque
  17. Okay, this is tentative, so don't bite. Getz Beckham Dye Thome Konerko Rios Quentin AJ Ramirez Bench: Castro Nix Kotsay Pods We're f***ing stacked!
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 06:39 PM) So is it Wise or Kotsay we drop? Don't answer with your head, answer with your gut. Wise can't play 1st. It's a done deal. Kotsay is here to stay.
