  1. YES!! Why wasn't AJ running that out, when Crowe was juggling the ball around in the corner?
  2. The Indians are just taking the extra bases.
  3. Does the empty shell of Contreras have to go through waivers again? I wonder if he'd make it past the Rangers.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 9, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) RBI single for Restovich. 6-2 going to the bottom of the 2nd Restovich is going to be up in September. He’s not a prospect at all anymore, but he’s having a tremendous year.
  5. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Aug 9, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) If I didn't know better, I'd say that Ozzie looked at some split stats/read a scouting report before filling out the lineup card. Dewayne Wise must have been in the bathroom when Ozzie did his headcount.
  6. I had no idea that Kostay looked this good at 1st.
  7. The White Sox with Rios and sans Wise is a damn good team from top to bottom. It reminds me of the Red Sox team that won back in 2004, which seemed to have a bench that still could have beaten half the teams in the National League.
  8. Dayan Viciedo is the only big prospect that’s actually on our 40. With Jon Link probably bringing up the rear. We’re not going to see Flowers, Danks, or Hudson moved in a deal for Rios.. So, I’d put Shelby and Ely as the more notable names that could be moved. I’m still tempted to think that a straight waiver claim is ultimately, going to be the direction this moves in.
  9. Atta boy, Kotsay. That's harder then BA's ever hit a ball
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 9, 2009 -> 02:24 PM) Hah, you did it again. I agree with what you are trying to say though. s***, i did didn't i? Maybe the Jays best move would be to dump Riccardi off on us.
  11. Ah, finally the failed hit and run works in our favor.
  12. I hate being afraid of Shin-Coo Choo. I wish he still sucked, those were better days.
  13. Good to see Washburn really looking like his 1st-half was something of a fluke. His numbers suggested this, glad to see the results do too. Porcello and Washburn are going to be really fun to watch implode over the next couple of months.
  14. QUOTE (almagest @ Aug 9, 2009 -> 12:18 AM) He won the MVP because of defense? Dude, face it, Dye is a great hitter but is bad defensively. Bringing up his offensive prowess from 4 years ago isn't going to change that. DH-ing Dye is the right move. I always thought Crede should of won it too. Not to condemn what Dye did though, he was great.
  15. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 9, 2009 -> 02:13 PM) Egbert's not even in the discussion. I’m not hearing much talk, but he is pitching well, and the timeframe matches. Regardless, I’m sure we’ll find someone adequate. With Hudson pitching tonight, it makes the memories of our best pitching prospects being Broadway, McCulloch, Russell and Egbert all the more surreal.
  16. Dumping Rolen and Rios would be a coup for the Jays. And Riccardi realizes that. The X-Factor is Riccardi's ego. His best move is to dump Rios off on us, but if he demands players, the sitiuation might meet a head.
  17. Alexei is such a tease in the field. His range is ridiculous, he just needs to get his head on straight.
