The answer is that Ozzie isn't your average baseball manager. He's a leader of men who chooses men he can lead, regardless of whether they're good or bad at baseball. Ozzie puts some of the worst lineups ever constructed out on the field, strategy is not his forte.

I just wish we could do something about Kotsay . It's a powerless feeling to be part of the overwhelming majority of people who recognize that Mark Kotsay is a detriment to this team, and who know that Ozzie doesn't give a damn.

Upton has one of those games where you see just what the scouts fell in love with all thos years ago.

Edwin Jackson has potential to throw Sergio Santos-like stuff for 7 innings a night. I don't think a turnaround is likely, but if anyone can bring it about, Don Cooper is the guy.
