  1. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 5, 2009 -> 04:57 PM) bloomquist has played well against us this season...it'd be nice to see the sox make a deal for him before the trade deadline and would make our bench that more versatile Willie Bloomquist Sucks. What we’re seeing here is a Puntoesque fluke. By no means should any team look to acquire Wille Bloomquist and the deadline and call it an upgrade.
  2. Richard throws bullets when he's on, but he needs to develop his slider. The only way to do that is to give him innings, and he hasn't been a disaster in the rotation, just a work in progress. I'd still like to see Poreda start though.
  3. Why have we made Poreda a one inning RP? Any reason other then he's a rookie?
  4. How about the Bronx is Burning Yankees, the ’86 Mets, and the Bonilla led Marlins? Winning builds chemistry, it’s never the other way around.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) So who's the better prospect at this point? Yu Darvish or Aroldis Chapman? Darvish is a lot more refined, while I’d say Chapman has more raw potential. I’d still give it to Darvish for major league readiness.
  6. I love Steve McNair, I had his Titans jersey when I was younger, the end to the 2000 Super Bowl crushed me, and this sucks. Absolutely sucks. My condolences to his family.
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) He needs to be promoted. Promotion? David Cook laughs at your idea of promotion!
  8. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 5, 2009 -> 09:07 AM) Yeah, but I don't think he's played outfield literally at all since he was drafted. I know he hasn't this year, and he only played about two weeks worth of games last season. His hamstring has been absolutely miserable. It makes sense. Good to see Danks and Q back in the swings of things.
  9. I’d feel a bit more comfortable trading Allen with Phegley in the organization and Flowers hitting well. Given that one of them might have to move positions with 1st being an ideal scenario. If we could give a package centered on Allen and Hudson I’d be all for it.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 06:16 PM) Despite the fact the Brewers have more talent, Wrong. Sorry, the contributions of Soriano, Fukudome, Soto, Lee, Marmol, Lilly, Z, Wells, Dempster, Harden definitely outweighs that of Braun, Fielder, Hardy, Cameron, Gallardo, Hoffman. Even throwing in Weeks into the equation, you’d have too add A-Ram for the Cubs. Absolute win for the Cubs.
  11. QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) I wish they'd get rid of interleague play. I hate interleague baseball. Call me a traditionalist, but I always found it fascinating, how in a very real sense, we had two separate leagues that’d only meet for a championship series. I hate the ever-increasing concept of the manufactured rivalry.
  12. Sounds like the directly after the ALL-Star break time table is still on track.
  13. I really don't understand what the Nat's GM is doing here. This and the Dukes demotion scream of a guy more concerned with chemistry then talent. That's a HUGE problem.
  14. Hold up. Wait. People still resent Billy Beane for a book that MICHAEL LEWIS wrote about him? Whaaaattttt? Nobody ever said Beane was the best GM in the league, but it’s clear that his methodology has found success throughout the league. He’s one of the better analytical GM’s in the game. I don’t understand the way some people salivate the minute the Oakland A’s fall below .500. as if it points to anything other then faulty roster management, or just poor play, a circumstance that EVERY GM falls into.
  15. Kyle McCulloch just has no out pitch. I don't know if Perdew can really do anything with him, he has a dead fastball. The cutter could help, but not much if he has no fall-back option.
  16. Unless Danks is banging at the door, Shelby or Cook go on an absolute tear, or a trade is made, we have no business trading BA. Certainly not for Wises’ sake.
  17. You know that cliché about making a move to improve the team without making a trade? This is it. I hope all goes well and we are not making a mistake that could haunt TCQ for the rest of the career.
  18. Buehrle! He's looked fantastic night. Clearly doesn't have all of his stuff either.
  19. Team's really coming together, right now. Pods is a huge part of this.

s***, Jordan. I wish i had your work ethic. Great job, man.
  21. I think our teams will go places if we continue to see production out of Floyd, Danks and Beckham. I really like our chances in this divison.
