  1. This was also to make Scott Hairston the full-time starter.
  2. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) They just said on ESPNnews that the sox don't play the Pirates this year. I wonder who we are going to play tomorrow. Wouldn't it be cool if Gar Foreman ran the Pirates, and they traded for David Aardsma?
  3. QUOTE (DABearSoX @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:44 PM) some penguins live in Africa so EAT IT BILLY I bless the rains down in Africaaaaaaaaaaaa.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) This is one of the most pathetic games in a long, long time. On the bright side, Mauer is on my fantasy team. For real though, this is beyond pathetic. 16-0 in the 6th inning!!!!! Hahaah wow... Yours too? I rode AJ till Mauer came back. It's worked out well.
  5. The Padres did this to bring Gwynn JR "home". Nothing more, nothing less.
  6. You know in Jake Peavy's funded Jurassic Park I’m sure they'd try to incorporate T-Rex's as servers. That would a poor idea not only are their arms preposterously small, but they'd kill everyone.
  7. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) Only if you give them LSD. Penguin's tend to get frisky when excited. I imagine having them drop acid would be an exceptionally poor idea.
  8. If Penguins actually danced like in Happy Feet, they'd be a much more feasible pet option.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) Busy day for San Diego. Wonder if this has anything to do with hold up. I doubt it, but you never know..... Looks like they have their priorities in order, then.
  10. QUOTE (bschmaranz @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:21 PM) You can tell the Sox game is over when Hawk starts talking about hairpieces. Pepitone (the guy who Hawk is talking about) gave the key note adress at a breakfast for a collegiate team i interned for. He's bizzare, but hilarious.
  11. The Padres just traded Jody Gerut for Tony Gywnn Jr. They're selling.
  12. I don't like to be greedy, but I’d prefer for someone with Poythress' skill set to bat left-handed. Especially, because he does nothing exceptionally well.
  13. It would be interesting to get Peavy and still end up with Homer Bailey as a 5th starter. And by interesting i mean badass.
  14. Anyone ever have Koala meat? I have not, but maybe a couple of the guys and Peavy and Oswalt would be up for a hunt. We could have Spike Lee film it, and have Men at Work do the soundtrack.
  15. Dear, Chris Getz. Stop pretending you’re a power hitter. Sincerely, White Sox fans. Dear, White Sox Organization. Stop encouraging him to think this way.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) Think Carl Everett would come to the opening? Never. Everett will deny this park's existence.
  17. Perhaps Peavy can use his option to make a new park/zoo. A jurassic one, perhaps?
  18. QUOTE (Baines3 @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) Down 9-0 in the 4th inning, am I reading the score right? Any chance we could throw in Greg Walker in the Peavy deal? Possibly even our pitching coach. Nearly all of this was Colon and Betemit's fault.
  19. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) So, another interesting point to discuss: does this trade affect Buehrle at all? He'd clearly no longer be the #1/"Ace" of the squad, but I honestly think he's a big enough man to welcome this proven winner and horse to the rotation without any difficulty. What do ya'll think? The Cubs have about four #2 starters on their staff, and it's had no negative effect. Also, Buehrle's a really mellow guy, i think he'd willingly step aside.
  20. Wow, Broadway's spiked curve is nice. Too bad he can't throw it consistently for strikes. Hopefully, he can perfect it in San Diego.
  21. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:49 PM) I missed the last 15 or so pages due to lunch. Anything I should know? We dislike broadway and find San Diego overpriced.
