  1. It''s almost a shame that O-Cab's not here to throw more meaningless b****ing in Balfour's direction.
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) Ok,you edited your post,I grew up watching MJ and I was gonna rip into u you. Thanks for holding off. I lived and loved the Jordan era too, and got pretty depressed when things got hopeless for a while. You can imagine how excited I got today, and I’m sad to say my blatant fanboy nature briefly took hold. Very unprofessional of me, I’m sorry. Still great performance by the kid, and while it has nothing on some of Jordan's Utah, New York, and Boston games it was still a sight to see.
  3. Good Pitch by Buehrle to induce the grounder
  4. Paulie with another homerun to drive in Dye. Damn, this mediocre aging veteran core!!!!
  5. Yep, Q's wrist is going to be a problem this year.
  6. Corky Miller inspires hope for all veteran backups.
  7. BA's is working pitchers, if he can ever cut his swing down, his approach might work.
  8. Man, BA is an OPB machine. He might be worth the 9th spot in the order, if he keeps this up
  9. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 06:09 PM) i think he made the team out of camp... who the hell is thurston? Thurston's been around for a while. He's a minor league veteran, almost Wise-esque, but he's hit the crap out of the ball in the minors. He and Nick Green have inspired hope for many this year.
  10. Paulie salvages an inning full of missed opportunities.
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 06:26 PM) billingsly really coming into his own too....that team is probably the best in the NL...and alot of their young guys are only gonna get better (kemp, ethier, loney, broxton, billlingsly, kershaw) Logan White and even Paul Depodesta did some great things for that organization.
  12. Second time in 3 days that Yankees fans are chanting for Swish to pitch.
  13. Oh God, somebody just suggested we get Eckstein to leadoff on the Ranger's show.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 03:36 PM) Let's not get carried away here, dude. There's about 10 games off the top of my head I can think of that had more significance involving the Bulls/Jordan that were way better than that one. It was awesome, but get real! I'm in the moment, dude. I'm not being realistic. I'm cherishing this
  15. I watched Jordan. That was the most incredible basketball game i've ever seen. Edit: Said in the heat of the moment. Not for real, but top ten
  16. i expect Swisher to play to career norms, same with Taveras. Career norms tell us that Swish is a good player, and that Taveras is not.
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 05:12 PM) I know Ludwick's a power hitter, but how can he not be sacrificing with no outs and runners at 1st and 2nd? Redo the math: 3-run homer, single, walk, double, triple> moving a runner over/failing to put down a bunt/popping it up.
  18. Will this be the last steroid-induced 500th homerun?
  19. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 11:43 PM) For the record.... Willy Taveras is hitting .292 with 5 BBs 2 Ks and 3 SB with 0 CS.. The OBP is somewhere in .400's I believe with 1 2B and 1 3B so far in 8 games. Unlike, Swisher that's a sample size that's going to rapidly plummet.
  20. I would have liked it more if they had dropped the 33 year old Myrow, then Ben Broussard.
  21. Coop can Fix him. Does seem like KW move to make.
  22. Devastating news. Who's next, Keith Ginter?
