  1. Wrigley has the IVY, some rough OF terrain, and very (drunk) vocal fans out in CF. The Cell has the occasional rough wind, and Dye in RF.
  2. I just wish they'd give him a rep or two in Center.
  3. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) Who are some that went on to make it big? I saw John Mayer open for Glen Phillips about six months before he got big.
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 11:49 AM) It would be, but he brings a mega-primadonna personality with him. As a Cub, Edmonds was a lot less of a pompous ass clown then he had been earlier in his career. I think he's humbled. He can still hit, field, and has decent leadership skills, the guy just can't run very well anymore.
  5. Soccer is a lot like my love life. Meandering and pointless with frequent flops and red flags every so often. Why would I ever want to watch this during my free time?
  6. "Oops!?" Walks Away. AWESOME.
  7. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 12:32 AM) http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_11919325 God, i wish this would happen. It's not gonna happen...
  8. This is brilliant. Soccer??? Honestly, I’d rather watch paint dry. Soccer seems to be more about keeping the ball away from the other team than actually trying to score.
  9. Arizone is pretty much Chicago West. Good Gyros, a Maggianos, a Boca Di Bepo, ETC, it's just a great state in general.
  10. There was almost a brawl between the US and the NED. Bit of a mistmatch, i imagine.
  11. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 05:56 PM) Kroeger just homered. solo . Kroeger's best hope is that Wise only stumbles from here on out.
  12. QUOTE (Soxpranos @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 05:58 PM) Chapman throws hard but seems to have no movement on his pitches. Is is strange that he's the youngest Cuban pitcher i've ever seen throw?
  13. I'm actually suprised at how many abs we've been giving Eider Torres and Santos over the course of spring, but i wouldn't say that Vicideo is getting a raw deal here.
  14. I saw Olsen get hammered by a Cubs AAA team last week. Needless to say he is not ready for primetime.
  15. Edmonds really put a charge to the Cubs last year, but this was when he formed an outstanding platoon with Reed Johnson. Under the right circumstances, Edmonds and BA could form a similiar tandem. He's still got pop, decent range, and while his legs have been effected by him aging he can still play. So for the right price, yes.
  16. I'm loving the Cuban-Japan game going on right now. Other then the US VS Venezuela this is pretty much the matchup i'd want to see.
  17. Why are worried? In two years, we'll just rename it the Gordon Beckham Tower of Awesomeness. We will have to refer to it by acronym. But seriously, this is ridiculous if true.
  18. I had a great experience their earlier this week. Fantastic place to watch a ballgame.
  19. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) I honestly hate to say this, but I think Alex Gordon is going to explode big time this season. Agreed, My fantasy team has been waiting on him for two plus years.
  20. I was at the Cubs-Mariners game in Peoria today. I got an autograph from Sweet Lou, but had to take off my Sox hat, and hide the logo on my polo before going in. Why? Because i am weak.
  21. I cry myself to sleep everynight. So... cry.
  22. Did Keith Law even seen the Poreda game? Poreda threw the slider ALOT. After his first inning of work he consistently got it over, and it looked good.
  23. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Mar 11, 2009 -> 12:22 AM) I just want to say that there's no f***ing way BRENT LILLIBRIDGE is going to be our leadoff hitter. Seriously that simply cannot and will not happen. I agree with all of this except for the part where it definitely can happen, and should not be ruled out. If Lillibridge starts hitting, he’s a fantastic option as a leadoff man.
