  1. Here's hoping we come out of the gates strong.
  2. Steinbrenner was a titan of the game, he was also a son of a b****. I hope that no one forgets that amidst the post-mortem glorification. There's something to be said about what his spending methods have done to the integrity of the game but I don't really want to make a big deal out of that.
  3. If getting Oswalt and giving the Astros cap relief would making getting Berkman any easier, i'd be all for it.
  4. It suprised me to find out just how boring the Rays broadcasters are. I'd assumed that once that team got young and good they'd try something non-traditional in terms of a broadcast team.
  5. Hawk is pretty bad. He seems to let his Shtick get in the way of broadcasting games. Recently he's been getting on my nerves a lot. For me, i'd say the best in the biz is Vin Scully, followed by Grace and Sutton for the D-Backs. The Rangers broadcasters are pretty good too.
  6. This is one of the most improbable runs I’ve ever witnessed. I hope we aggressively pursue another at-bat and go in for the kill in this division.
  7. You don't really need a degree to become a baseball commentator, you just need connections.
  8. Sox caught a nice break with the Greinke scratch. Let's make it happen, Hudson!
  9. Today is the start of the "Big Game" Dan Hudson era. Last year was just a trial run.
  10. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 10, 2010 -> 10:47 PM) Oh, I agree that nobody thought we'd get this hot. But it's still illustrates why it's ridiculous for people to want to mail in the season in late May or early June. And there were quite a few people who did. That's crap logic. The White Sox were awful to a point where it was very tough not to be down on this team. Anyone outside of Sin City Sox who said they saw an insane run like this is lying. It's not like people (like myself) who gave up on this team were not operating from a burden of proof. It's not ridiculious to assume that in times of trouble people would prefer to jump ship, instead of getting their hopes up for something that is very unlikely to happen.
  11. I love how ESPN has decided to pretend that Omar Infante is deserving of an All-Star bid rather than the pick being the farce it is.
  12. There's just no stopping this team. Let's take this streak past the All-Star break!
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 10, 2010 -> 10:58 AM) Are you freaking serious? And we offered $20 million to Kirk Hinrich Jr.? You do realize that really the only thing similiar about Kirk and Redick is that their both white, right? JJ isn't nearly the defender that Kirk is and Kirk isn't nearly the shooter that JJ is. And the Bulls need shooters.
  14. Redick is exactly the type of player that the Bulls need. Of course, they'd have to overpay for him in this market. It seems likely that the bargain that we seem to have got on Boozer will allow us to get the perimeter players that we need to clear space for Rose to operate in.
  15. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Jul 10, 2010 -> 12:53 AM) Paxson should get canned. Morrow is twice the player either of those guys are and cost half the money Redick might. Seriously, $7M next season for JJ? I can't understand the Bulls management. Is it at all possible that Morrow wanted to be a Net and took that offer so he could make it happen? Not everything has to be GarPax's fault,
  16. Corey Patterson just crushed a game tying grandslam with 2 strikes on him and 2 outs in the top of the 9th. Off Nefalti Feliz no less
  17. Alright, a member of the Swisher trade pitching against the Sox.
  18. I just caught a glimpse of the "three kings" being introduced in Miami on ESPN 2. This whole thing makes me feel like taking a shower.
  19. The Royals hit singles like no other.
  20. This is overkill of Lee to the Yankees proportions. We have no need to empty our system to fill a need that we don't have when the pieces can be moved to solve actual problems.
  21. Good, i like the Rangers. Anyone but the Twins, baby.
  22. I really like the Korver move. The Bulls have a good thing going.
  23. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 12:40 AM) EXACTLY......just think how Dan Gilbert felt having to watch this without LeBron giving a courtesy call thanking him but saying he has to move on. I think Gilbert is going to unleash hell on LBJ. Can you imagine how Gilbert must have felt when Lebron told the interviewer that he had just informed the team he was going to of his choice? The idea that somebody would abandon you like that without even taking the time of making a call...
