    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 02:21 PM) I am now starting to wonder if it was a reference to Aaron. Bingo, I think at this point Lindelof and Cuse have everything laid out. I'd say they've had it since roughly around the middle of season 3, when the show started firing on all cylinders.
  2. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 07:29 AM) So you also feel that if Brian Anderson played last year full time he would've hit .275 hit 25 homers? I''d say .260 and 20 homers is more realistic so, yeah, our GM (as great as he is) is know to exaggerate. I won't miss Crede that much, but It's hard to believe that the leaders of both the Dirty Thirty Crew and The Hardcore 24 have already been purged from the clubhouse.

QUOTE (BobDylan @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 09:20 PM) Thank you. I'm not alone. I've never understood what people see in him. He was great back in Emperor of The Sun, otherwise, i find his acting questionable, not terrible.
  4. I hope we can offer Scott Hatteberg a coaching job somewhere down the line. He always seemed like a nice guy, and he had a great approach to hitting.
  5. Loved seeing Hooch on the never allowed list. 'Cause Hooch is Crazy.
  6. I love me some Q, but i'd strongly consider King Felix and Morrow for Q and a loose end like Russell or Mcdougal. Won't happen though.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 01:35 PM) That's an excellent guy for the Rockies to pick up given their ballpark. I'm a pretty big fan of Matty Murton, so i hope he works out their. If he and Carlos Gonzalez work themselves out they've got a pretty solid future. They really need to get rid of Helton in the worst way though.
  8. Sweet! I love Brandon Morrow! And the fat, old guys too! Can we maybe give them Slayer, BA, and Flowers while we're at it?

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 12:37 AM) I need to see Hotel Rwanda. Indeed, you do. Great Movie.
  10. QUOTE (MO2005 @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 06:35 PM) I'm assuming you are a whitesox fan and if you wouldn't mind explaining why those pesky twins beat us up all the time?? Let's see stolen bases because AJ can't throw anyone out, bunt singles, a runner scoring from 2nd on a hard hit to left field. How many times do you see our players stopping at third? Wouldn't you like to see them score more? So lets fix that with some speed Remember back in September when we beat those Twins with a Solo Homerun to get into the playoffs? Yeah, those were good times.
  11. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 05:49 PM) Bonnaroo line up has been announced. It's pretty diverse this year. I haven't decided if I'm going yet. Wilco and The Decemberists are full of win. I wouldn't be suprised if Ben Folds goes again too. Outside my price range though.
  12. I am humbled by your nomination. All the while, I am crushed by Cubano. It’s okay, love ya, Cubano
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 05:07 PM) Speed is underrated, not because stolen bases are cool, but because so many people think that stolen bases are the only impact of speed. There are so many other things that speed buys you. Power hitting is still more important, more of the time. But speed can be a serious value-add for any team. +1, while i continue my crusade against the "awesomeness" of the stolen base, i can't discount that having some baserunning abilty (as well, as speed in the field) is an asset. I also find it interesting that KW did a neither confirm nor deny type response on this rumour rather then a denial
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 04:33 PM) Citigroup looking for ways to get out of it's 20 year, $400 million naming deal on the new Mets stadium. Taxpayers Field, here we come!
  15. QUOTE (WCSox @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) Yeah, you're right. Station-to-station baseball is the way to go. It works wonders against good pitching in the playoffs! I want you to look at every World Champion of the last decade, and tell me that power doesn't have more to do with those wins then speed. I would also like proof that drawing walks, and letting your players try to hit the ball and drive people in is ever a bad thing.
  16. QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 09:39 AM) I predict a Homer Bailey trade coming. Maybe, It wouldn't be straight-up though... so who would we be talking about Bailey+Dickerson? Dickerson's a good enough athlete to handle center.
  17. In terms of excitement i'd say i'm: 1) Slayer 2) Danks 2 3) Viciedo 4) Allen There's just so much offensive potential for this team especially, if Fields can get it going again.
  18. Was this urine found on Matt Cassel by any chance?
  19. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 06:27 PM) Alexei did earn his shot, but let's not forget there were a ton of us who thought he'd have a better chance at getting regular at-bats at AAA than in the bigs. Yep, the Missle just looked lost for the 1st three weeks of the season, and then as soon as Uribe went down he just clicked and never looked back.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 04:22 PM) Bitter is fine, saying that other teams have done better is fine, saying that the Bears have sucked in particular at the offensive skilled positions is fine, but suggesting that the Bears are one of the worst in the league in the draft just doesn't follow from what they've done over the years. At worst, they're average, solid on the D-side and weak on the O-side. I made a cynincal comment. In no way, did I suggest that the Bears drafted the worst. That suggestion was made by the following poster.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 04:12 PM) Really? The Bears never get the right pick? Aren't you confusing them with say, the Lions? I'm still bitter. I'll give you Forte, Hester and a couple of the guys on defense. And yes, the Lions Suck.
  22. Hope this belongs here. A hypothetical, if you could choose a band and a set list to play the Super Bowl halftime show whom would it be? There are a couple of rules: they need to be “family appropriate” and your play list can be around 4 to 5 songs. Give it a go:
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) Oliver Perez tentatively back to the Mets, 3/$36. Why are the Mets addressing their LF situation? They have enough Minor League depth to get someone tolerable. You can’t go into the spring training with a battle between Tatis, Reed and Sullivan can you?
