  1. QUOTE (3E8 @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 08:35 PM) So did 4/5 critics and yours truly. fail Really? Everyone i know thought it sucked. I'll try to redeem myself in some way.
  2. Dark Chocolate. There's is nonthing redeeming about that eating experience
  3. I recognize X-Men 3 as a seriously flawed film. Still like it though. I think a good portion of people like Serenity and Veronica Mars, but I’ll cop to that too. Love the movie Punch Drunk Love
  4. Sorry, Michael Dubee it looks like you're gonna have to wait till next year.
  5. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 09:55 AM) the gin blossoms...yeah you can make fun of me if you want People don't like the Gin Blossoms? Seriously? They're poppy, yeah, but i can't see anyone being violently opposed to them.

    LOST!!!!

I believe that they use the same set for both Oxford and the Church so I find this picture to be somewhat ambiguous (and horribly photoshopped.) http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Camhawk.jpg , but this very well could be Mrs. Hawking in front of her son's workplace.

    LOST!!!!

I loved Frogurt, but i loved Dr. Artz too so i'm batting 0 for 2. Also, Mrs. Hawking is Daniel's Mom. Book It.
  8. QUOTE (onedude @ Jan 20, 2009 -> 01:45 AM) i'll get started on that... This one might take too much work, but I was wondering if I could have Richard/Poreda in their respective windups with the caption “You Don’t Know CR/AP” at the bottow. Such an awesome inside joke needs to be captured in motion.
  9. Working at getting into OF Montreal. I like some of what i've heard so far but i hear it only gets more bizzare as they go on. Their live shows sound completley nuts.
  10. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jan 21, 2009 -> 08:23 PM) as of right now, the back up is guna be someone from the minors right? none of them can hit. that is disappointing. i guess we really dont have money to spend lol Yep, Chris Stewart or Cole Armstrong. Lucy has an outside chance if his knee holds-up and he hits his ass off in spring.
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 21, 2009 -> 05:12 PM) My roommate ate my string cheese then lied about it. Mine ate all my chocolate-covered pretzels (about 9 bags of ‘em) and had the audacity to just put the box back in my shelf like nothing had happened.
  12. I hope he starts a blog so we can settle this "racist/crazyass dude" rumour going on about Kent once and for all.
  13. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 07:58 AM) This is because stats, as well as a number of people on this board, state that winning games is over rated by pitchers. They look at all of thenumbers other than wins to determine if you are a good pitcher. Buerhle "wins" more than his numbers show. Winning Games is not at all a factor in determining what makes a good pitcher unless that win is a product mostly of the pitchers own making (no-hitter, complete game, shutout, holding a team below four runs, ETC). Edwin Jackson won 14 games last year, and it wasn't because he was a great pitcher, he was a product of a great offense and defense. Mark Buehrle, however, has proven himself a great pitcher, becasue he has moved past having what some would term as "mediocre" stuff, and become a great pitcher through the use of a cutter, and his ability to force ground balls in a hitters ballpark, while pitching at a pace that allows him to take complete control of a game. It's unfortunate that there's no real stat that can incorportate the very tangible qualities that Buehrle has (i'm not talking grindeyness here) that's why Mark is underrated not because of wins.
  14. We've discussed this. Keith Law is a tiny, bitter man who needs to be put down alone in a room with J.P. Ricciardi and settle his "daddy issues." Our sytem while not in the elite of all of baseball is not nearly as bad as it has been, and not nearly as bad as Law paints it to be.
  15. QUOTE (philadelphia sox fan @ Jan 20, 2009 -> 12:27 PM) They didn't do too bad with Giovanni Soto The relative youth of Barret and the emergence of Soto were part off the reason why they didn't draft Wieters. Plus, Josh Vitters has a ton of upside too.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 20, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) There are so many great episodes. Walkabout stands out to me as the best in the 1st season. Locke was hardly on screen in the premiere and that made that episode even greater. When you think back, most of the better episodes surround Locke. Lost is 4 for 4 on season finales. They have all been great. The only Locke episode i found slightly lacking was Orientation, but even that improved after several viewings.

    LOST!!!!

Walkabout is the best hour of television ever made. The final Locke revelation, the acting, the score, the staging will never be topped in my mind.
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 05:43 PM) Markakis is one of my favorite players. Ditto, the guy's a great hitter with an absolute cannon of an arm. Could have been a great pitcher, but the Orioles clearly made the right choice in making him a hitter.
  19. An awesome beginning to the season. Murray steals the shows again.
  20. QUOTE (scenario @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 11:43 PM) I doubt there is anything 'official' about this list. Probably just put together by some mlb.com employee. QFT, this chart is derived from one of the mlb.com guys making an objective assessment this doesn’t come from the big guys upstairs. As for the real one I’d say we're looking at C AJ, Stewart, Armstrong, Lucy 1b Konerko, Thome, Betemit, Fields 2b Getz, Lillibridge, Nix, Betemit, Ramirez 3b Fields, Betemit, Viciedo SS Ramirez, Lillibridge, Betemit RF Dye, Betemit, Q CF Owens, BA, Lillibridge, Ramirez LF Q, Wise, Betemit DH Thome, Konerko, Fields Buehrle Floyd Danks Colon Marquez/CR/AP, Contreras Richard/Poreda Russell Carrasco Thorton Linebrink Dotel Jenks
  21. QUOTE (3E8 @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 10:10 PM) Isn't helmet-to-helmet a penalty It was incidental on both parties. So the cool story coming into the Super Bowl is Whisenhunt and Grimm losing out on the Steelers coaching search, right?
  22. My first thought was “that dude’s paralyzed”, but he’s moving, thank god.
  23. I feel like Flacco's regressing before our very eyes.
