  1. Gilbert also did a phone interview after the letter was released. Said things along the lines of "Now you'll get to know the real Lebron James," and that he quit on the team in the playoffs.
  2. Bosh just went on ESPN and compared his time in Toronto as being like a caged wolf watching others eating meat. He's clearly a giant dick.
  3. Really nice article from Will Leitch on this: http://nymag.com/daily/sports/2010/07/lebr...as_being_a.html
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:50 PM) STEIN_LINE_HQ Wolves-Heat deal, sources say, calls for 'Sota to absorb Beasley into cap space and send its 2011 second-round pick to Miami to seal deal Wolves just got a steal. Former 2 overall never given a chance to really get going in Miami. Holy crap, Kahn. How many forwards do you need?
  5. Look some gold from Windy already: 'Trust me from as who's dealt with Gilbert, I can only imagine what the first draft looked like. This was probably PR team's compromise." 10 minutes ago via web
  6. I'm going to be following Brian Windhorst pretty close. He seems to have a pretty good read over this entire thing.
  7. You know what's really exciting about this Gibert thing? Things are going to start leaking like a motherf***er from over there. I expect confirmation of the West-Gloria James thing in a week.
  8. I really like Barnes too. He's about as close to a sure thing as you'll find.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) Harrison Barnes and J. Sullinger It's guard heavy. There's Walker out of UCONN and then guys like Selby and Knight who have one and done potential. Basically, pay attention to the entire Kentucky roster again.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:36 PM) Next year's draft is going to be terrible It's not deep but the top is decent enough. You're right though that past the lotto is terrible.
  11. Keep in mind that Lebron not only refused to talk to Scott earlier today but didin't even give Gilbert a call prior to making his choice. Gilbert has every right to be unprofessionally pissed.
  12. If i'm the Cavs i try to cash in on picks for Williams and Jamison. Next years draft is deep enough that you can buld a decent mid-2000 Bulls-esque core and let that team grow together.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:31 PM) That is incredibly pathetic and unprofessional in my opinion. So much, in fact, that I have a hard time believing it is authentic. Gilbert tends to go off the rails like this a lot. I think this is the real deal.
  14. You guys gotta read this. Dan Gilbert is pissed. http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/gilbert_letter_100708.html
  15. Do the Cavs had a first round pick next year? I imagine a shot at Harrison Barnes is probably the only thing they can look forward to.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) it depends on how this plays out This isn't the first time this has happened though. This Miami thing is just a natural extension of what's been going on in LA and Boston.
  17. You know what would be awesome? Heat sign Iverson and let him run the point.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:12 PM) Does anyone think some other group of players will try and unite to form another Superteam? Yep, i think this is the future of the NBA. This is going to keep happening until somebody puts a stop to it.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:09 PM) Jamison and Boozer on the same team? Wow the Bulls would be awful defensively. They also have three power forwards and no perimeter shooting.
  20. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:09 PM) Yes, ok we know Lebron is going to Miami.... so what are in the Bulls plans now? An SG, a backup SG and some defensive-minded wing players.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:08 PM) what's he saying He's going after Lebron and ESPN. He's talking about how this entire thing was a farce, pretty much ground that we've covered.
  22. Anyone listening to the Score? Goff is pissed. I've never heard him more angry.
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:02 PM) Mark Jackson just compared Scottie Pippen and Rodman to Wade and Bosh. He also said Michael had the luxury of playing with "great role players." Uhh... This is why Jackson has never had a legitimate chance of landing an NBA coaching job.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:55 PM) good, Shaq is terrible now and just clogs up the middle. A big man with range, like what you saw with R. Wallace last year, would have been a better fit. You saw the Bulls-Cavs series, right? O'Neal could have put his elbow through Noah's throat and he'd of still gotten to the line.
