  1. It looks like Wilson, Paxton and Alvord will be there for the Sox.
  2. There goes Yordy Cabrera to the A's. GREAT PICK.
  3. I like how Depodesta approaches these drafts for the Padres.
  4. Workman goes to the Red Sox. They are dominating this draft.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) Wow. The Indians farm gets even more loaded. I have a way of going about these things where if the Rays happened to have liked this kid, i have to like him too.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:16 PM) That teams looks to be FINALLY headed in the right direction. I like the direction that Huntington is taking that team. Although i didn't like the Tony Sanchez pick from last years draft.
  7. Damn, there goes Levon Washington. Great tools guy for the Indians.
  8. Eiber to the Royals. They have him as a pitcher.
  9. Pirates grab Alllie. He and Tallion are going to be a great shot in the arm for that system.
  10. One minute between picks. This thing should fly.
  11. Mayo says that in his last start, Stetson Allie hit 100 six times. Yikes.
  12. QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:01 PM) Boras client? I think so, but he really doesn't have that much leverage after not signing with the Jays, and not lighting it up in Independent Ball.
  13. And Here We Go! http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/draft/y2010/draftlive_app.jsp
  14. Solis is a good arm, but i didn't see him lasting to 63 anyway. Let's hope the draft continues in a pitching heavy direction leaving guys like Wilson and Alvord to at least give Laumann and KW a pause.
  15. CSN Chicago is trying but i refuse to get that hyped up over a series of meaningless games, played for a meaningelss trophy, between what are (at this point) meaningless teams. That being said, i hope we kick some Cubs ass.
  16. I like Zach Alvord too. He has a lot of Beckham in him.
  17. QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 11:30 AM) In all seriousness, anyone worried about his arm-angle or the fact that Brent Lillibridge could clearly kick his a$$? I don't care if Lillibridge could kick his ass. Put him in the box against Sale, and he'd start him out with a change, follow it up with a sinking fastball, and then ace him with a breaking ball. This kid can pitch.
  18. Merkin thinks, that he'll start at either Class A Kannapolis or Class A Winston-Salem. Laumann's thoughts: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/video/play...61&c_id=cws
  19. Can Pods pitch? Or field for that matter? We need a big bat for the heart of the order... can he hit, say, 40 homeruns for us? No? Then i guess a guy who was asking for too much money and too many years in the offseason anyway, isn't that big a deal when you take into account how little he'd contribute to this team in the greater scheme of things.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 11:07 PM) I know a pretty decent Angels source who thinks they do want PK, and they would give up Trumbo for him. Trout? No. Trumbo's would be a nice haul. That K-rate is a bit cringe inducing, but he's a perfect fit for The Cell.
  21. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:30 AM) Isn't Vin Scully (minus the awful dye job) just magic to listen to? I could watch/listen to Dodger games forever... Scully is an absolute treasure to hear call a ballgame. He paints a picture with every word. I've been switching off between him and Sutton and Grace, My two other favorite broadcasters at this point.
  22. I'm still ecstatic we got Sale. I'm really pleased with the Sox for the first time in months.
  23. I'd like us to consider James Paxton too.
  24. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 10:40 PM) I'd be pretty pleased with Workman at #63. Put me on the board, yes. For that as well. I'm assuming that Wilson and Allie will be off the board though, and Eibner doesn't give me a pause upon further consideration.
  25. The second round is going to be a blast. A lot of huge names are still in play.
