  1. We've followed what was probably our best game thread yet, with the worst. Which is odd because the BlackHawks are off today.
  2. Jenks is totally going to get a chance to close this game.
  3. The Rangers guys are giving the sordid history of Joe Borchard. Thank god for Matt Thornton.
  4. A.J. has had a nice series in front of the Rangers. I hope they like what they see.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) Randy Ruiz Hawk?
  6. I've been watching a lot of Stetson Allie videos and damn does that kid have stuff. At this point i'm pretty resigned to Brandon Workman though. I see his upside as a number #3 starter. He wouldn't look awful following Danks, Floyd, and Hudson in a rotation.
  7. Gonzalez on the draft. Talks about Workman, WOJO, Wimmers and Harvey. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...sox-scouts.html
  8. Freddy is on it again. I really hope a contender bites. I'd like to see him get a chance at another ring on that finger.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) Sox getting dominated right now by Lewis. It really seems like something is about to happen with personnel/coaching changes. Getting swept by the Rangers isn't the worst thing in the world. Going into a series against the Indians with your entire fanbase convinced you're going to get your asses kicked is.
  10. I suspect Hynick goes to AAA, the minute that Huddy or Torres is brought up to the big club. He's really doing nothing in AA, but biding his time.
  11. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) KG Mock: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article....articleid=11070 Well, this is a cheerful thought. "The Georgia Tech righty could go much higher, as he's the safest pitcher in the draft, but he's anything but an upside guy."
  12. This team might be even harder to watch next year if Q, Peavy, Floyd and Beckham don't get their act together.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) It's just symptomatic of the overall "team malaise," not only making physical but also mental and concentration errors. The whole team is just going through the motions, and it shouldn't be tolerated by the GM or manager. I was awful in little league growing up, but i always made sure to keep my eye on the ball and close my glove with both hands. Q had a mental lapse, he needs to make the play.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) How can you get mad at that, Bolt? It was a ridiculous mistake. A fluke. Are you an angry person? I can get mad at crappy baseball, but that was just a stupid play, not one to get mad over. Are you kidding me? How can i have a negative reaction to a stupid, little league play made by Carlos Quentin? This is a game thread.
  15. This organization is paying the price for telling Flowers to screw with his swing. 0-2 with 2 K's and a BB. Down to .209.
