  1. This was the scout's take on Teahen when he was drafted in 2002. "Tall, slender frame. Similar to Dean Palmer. Arm is best tool, could become a plus with added strength. Occasional power straight away. Runs bases well enough. Improved fielding. Good kid." That was pretty damn wishy washy then. Nothing has changed.
  2. One would hope this is the last inning of major league baseball that Randy Williams will ever throw for the Chicago White Sox. I doubt it.
  3. That might have been worse then the Nix play. That literally deflected off Teahen and into the stands.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 23, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) I thought Kotsay was the emergency pitcher. Yep, Kotsay is the emergency pitcher and Nix is the catcher.
  5. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ May 22, 2010 -> 04:21 PM) Supposedly, I think I remember K.C. Johnson mentioning something about this a few weeks back. Gar mentioned it too. Asik should be with the team by the start of camp. Barring a trade, of course.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 22, 2010 -> 01:01 AM) I never understood the hype from the beginning. And if the search function worked I'd be able to prove it. To your credit, Jordan you're the one who told me to look out for this. I don't know why i doubted you, but his k-rate is catching up to him in a BIG way.
  7. Winning is so damn fun, i've gotten to miss it. Let's make this the start of something, don't stop here!
  8. QUOTE (scenario @ May 22, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) Not a chance. We have ONE player on the roster over 35 (who is a bench player). And only 4 starting position players over 30. The Yankees have 7 players over 35 on the roster. And 6 starting position players over 30 The RedSox have 3 players over 35 including 43 year old Tim Wakefield. And 6 starting position players over 30 I could keep digging but I'm not sure I have to. A quick review of rosters suggests there's quite a few teams with older players (and starters) than us. I actually took that from the Marlins broadcast last night so it appears their onscreen graphic was wrong. The average age of a White Sox player is 30.1 the average age of a Red Sox palyer is 30.7, and the average age of a Yankee is 30.8. Still not as sizeable a difference as you’d think and we are up there in age. I think the stat is actually that we're the third oldest team in the A.L.
  9. Let's have oiur first two game winning streak since the Mariners series!
  10. We keep saying we're going to go on this streak, and then this team reveals itself for the inconistent light-hitting team that it really is. What do you say we set our expectations a bit lower? How about we win two in a row, or even a series? Then we can think big.
  11. I believe we're the oldest team in the A.L. and the third oldest team in the majors. A lot of that has to do with Omar Vizquel.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (Brian @ May 21, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) Walts mom is dead Then replace his mom with his grandmother, Remember i made this theory when i was, like, 13-14. This isn't what i think will happen, it's what i thought would happen.
  13. This game was a blast to watch! I wish Buehrle could have gotten the CG.
  14. Danks 0-4. WITH 4 K'S. OH MY GOD.
  15. I love how the Marlins on-field reporter just goes in the stand to interview random fans. Right now, they're interviewing a Sox fan who looks like Santa about the BlackHawks.
  16. I think Rose and Henry could work wonders together.
