QUOTE (DBAHO @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 08:42 AM) ^. And go check out a minorleague game if you can also. Got to see about 2 or 3 game at the same time this year which was pretty cool to say the least. I stopped by Camelback just to see the park when the Sox were out of town last spring. I told the guy blocking the entrance my son and I wanted to check out the park, he said pull right in and park by the Indians team bus (no charge). After walking around for a 1/2 hour I bump into, not 1 but 2 Sox - Indians games right next to each other, with a grand total of about 10 people in the stands. I get as close as I can and look over and I'm right next to Coop on a golf cart, he's watching John Danks on the mound. Also got to see Viciedo, Tim Rains Jr. hit a triple. Also heard a the guy next to me talking Sox baseball on his cell, Bruce Levine doing the Score update, talking about a possible Buehrle injury (same as every spring). As we left we stopped by the other game, Brandon Allen walks to the plate and hits one farther than I've ever seen anyone hit a ball in person, over the fence, the landscaping, the walking path and landed in the middle of the pond. BTW They've added a 2nd Cubs game at CR on Sunday March 7th.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:53 PM) Did he actually do that? that would be wild to see No, all Garland's teamates were laughing at him while a coach was pulling him by the shirt down the stairs into the clubhouse, he was all smiles. It looked like he wanted to hang around for a while. I think he's from LA. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:41 PM) Rotoworld now says PTBNL for Thome. That's what Vin Scully says too: The Dodgers also picked up Garland, he just had to walk over to the other dugout. -
As a full season ticket holder I get a deep discount this year on playoff Parking Passes. $30 each. Yes, you read it right, 11 games $330 total.

When Gordon Beckham does a pushup, he isn’t lifting himself up, he’s pushing the Earth down. If at first you don't succeed, you're not Gordon Beckham. Gordon Beckham can slam a revolving door. This thread going to get crazy.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 02:30 PM) Since we have a 5 run lead, should we go to the bullpen now and give Mark's arm a rest? -
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 10:24 PM) http://blogs.dailyherald.com/blog/675 WTF....... Who's in charge of that circus on Madison ave. Isn't that why we got rid of Havlat.

TSN is reporting Red Wings RFA forward Jiri Hudler has signed a contract with Dynamo Moscow. Hudler is only 25 and scored 23 goals last season. It's the 5th Red Wings player to bail this off season, Hossa, Samuelsson, Kopecky, and goalie Ty Conklin.

What is Jerry Reinsdorf up to, on Friday 6/26 he offered $148 Million to buy the Phoenix Coyotes. Being the owner of the Sox since 1981 and the Bulls since 1985, I find this odd that he suddenly has the urge to buy a hockey franchise. And with the addition of Camelback Ranch it seems like a bit much for a 73 year old. I wonder if the the sale of the Sox/Bulls is coming soon. I mean who else owns 3 major sports teams ?

Hawks select Dylan Olsen in the 1st round : D 6'2 206 History 2007-08: Olsen played for the Camrose Kodiaks of the AJHL. He appeared in 49 games for the Kodiaks, scoring eight goals and 16 assists while picking up 45 penalty minutes. Olsen was a driving force in the Kodiaks championship season. 2008-09: Olsen again played for the AJHL's Camrose Kodiaks. In 53 games for that club, he scored 10 goals and added 19 assists while racking up 123 penalty minutes. Olsen also played for Team Canada West in the 2008 World Junior A Challenge, picking up one goal and four assists in five games. In addition, he starred for Team Canada at the Under-18 World Junior Championships, scoring two goals and two assists while adding 14 penalty minutes in six games. Talent Analysis Had the ability to take over games from the back end for the Camrose Kodiaks this season. Skates well for a big man. He isn't punishing physical but can over power the opposition when the need arises. Skates well and has shown the ability to move the puck on the rush. Was effective on the power-play this season but in order to be effect on the man advantage at the next level he will need to continue to develop his offensive instincts. Has a hard, accurate shot from the point. Played a lot of hockey in his draft year as he saw time at the World Under 18's, World Jr. A Challenge and the AJHL All-Star Game. His WHL rights belong to the Medicine Hat and some believe Tiger's Coach Willie Desjardins will go after him hard and possibly use a spot on the Junior National team as a selling point. Future Olsen has committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Get there early, as soon as the gates open you can get autographs for the first 45 min. stop by a ticket window and get a list of where the players are and what section. There is a huge crowd outside an hour before. Kids run the bases after the game. 12 years old and under only (maybe 13 not shure).

I was there and have never seen the "wave" catch on at the cell. Well it happened last night in the 8th inning. Looked like over 95% participation.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 10, 2009 -> 12:35 AM) What an outstanding game to watch. Nice to see one of my favorite players, Big Buff, get 2 goals in. I played Buff in a game of bags behind the Cell back in September. Real nice guy and about the size of a linebacker. -
QUOTE (knightni @ May 10, 2009 -> 08:55 AM) The real question is... How can he hold a baseball? Mr Ed was a DH.
