Do you honestly think I said positive things because I want them to like me? I don't know any of the decision makers. I couldn't care less what anyone thinks outside of basically my family. I comment based on what I think and what I feel I know. Why would Roki Sasaki ever choose the White Sox right now if money were similar everywhere? I know that they have signings and they basically have to just go with Paddy's guys at this point anyway. I'm not sure how much they have left in their 2025 pool. It's not really true that the Dodgers would be a discount this year. They have like $2.5 million right now and can likely trade for at least that much more. I doubt there's anyone who can give him $4 million plus in January without reneging on previously agreed upon deals. Teams technically have fresh bonus pools but that's not really how it works.

Teams bonus pools are technically clear starting in January but everyone has millions of dollars worth of committed money already. Best case scenario for the White Sox is that Sasaki gets cleared prior to 12/15 so that the Dodgers can sign him in current period. White Sox could then trade their remaining space for a prospect.

The agent confirmed the Zach Wheeler story. It is what it is though. The White Sox offered 5/125 and they were given an indication by the agent that they had a deal. Wheeler changed his mind and went to Philly instead. The agency wanted to save face with the White Sox so they put out that the Sox had the higher offer. This is old news. In regards to Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, those are ownership decisions. There’s not much Rick Hahn and Ken Williams could do there without being able to convince Jerry Reinsdorf to go to $300 million. Again, old news.

I like the idea of Wilyer Abreu. He's 25-years-old and really good. I could get behind that depending on the rest of the package. I could see Braden Montgomery potentially being involved as well. Roman Anthony is the #1 prospect in baseball. He will not be involved.

A few things based on this thread. 1. Attaching Andrew Benintendi to Garrett Crochet would be a disaster. 2. If the White Sox can’t do better than Gavin Lux for Robert, they should and will hold. Need to maximize the return so I expect him on opening day roster. 3. I don’t love Boston as a Crochet trade partner. I doubt Roman Anthony or Mayer will be available and I’m not sure Kristian Robinson has a defensive position.

Lots of teams have this. It's not a minor league hitting coordinator. He's in charge of hitting for the entire organization. It's basically the same thing that Brian Bannister has been doing but for hitting. Fuller was their minor league hitting coordinator for years and coached many of their prospects as a hitting coaching in Bowie I believe.

Yes, actually. He really preaches hitting the ball in the air and swing decisions, etc. The Orioles "struggled" in the second half offensively and went out early in the playoffs and both hitting coaches took the fall. To me though, this type of role fits this guy much better than big league hitting coach.

Sure but he said that he finally started to listen to what he was being told. Then he went to Dodgers and continued success and even improved. They definitely had some impact. The narrative that "they fixed" Michael Kopech is nonsense though. I think that trade was a bit short. Kopech for Albertus and Perez is probably fine in isolation.

Hey! We agree on something haha. The narrative that the Dodgers fixed Michael Kopech is insane. He just actually started doing the things that Brian Bannister told him to do. It started with his last five appearances with the White Sox. It's a big reason why the Sox should've been able to get more for him in the trade.
