The White Sox have been working on the pitch to Manny Machado with presentation and all for weeks. He's their target. It's reached the National Media now.
LWE was 9-0 with 44 playoff points (opponents wins)
Rice was 9-0 with 45 playoff points.
1 and 2 doesn't really matter because they'll both be home for semis and then meet at state. Rice has to go through Marist probably at some point.
I don't know if I'd say incredible. It's a great accomplishment but they do get to pluck football players from all over the southside and suburbs regardless of how many kids actually go to their school.
Matt finished editing my work and the trade broke. I checked our writers thread and immediately said "SON OF A b****". It's fine though. It should be updated with the recent info now.
I wrote about Manny Machado for today. He is the White Sox primary target.

Gomez, Santiago and Shields will be exiting as well. Kopech has to get added from the 60 Day DL
Guys that need protection or will be exposed to Rule 5: Seby Zavala, Dylan Cease, Jordan Stephens, Spencer Adams, Kodi Medeiros, and Zach Thompson
They tried to outright Smith and couldn't get him through. They need to add Seby Zavala to the 40-man. There's no way they could keep 4 catchers on the 40 man.
They were headed to the lottery with their full compliment of players. They are headed for the top 5 of the lottery now. And that's fantastic for the franchise.
Really? There is no chance. The 8th seed will win like 40 games, man. This Bulls team might not win 30. This is one of the very worst teams in the NBA. Especially without Dunn, Portis and Markkanen.
They have a ton of $$ to spend. Using that amount on hoping Jones is healthy is fine. I also don't just assume that a guy will be definitely be injured. Spending $4.65 million to see if Jones is healthy enough to trade is a gamble worth taking.
Marwin Gonzalez is going to get like $60 million. Joel Sherman today speculated that Nathan Eovaldi could get 4 years and $80 million. Some of these prices are way off IMO.
I don't think Jerry Reinsdorf ever pays a manager $6 million per year. Hard pass on Girardi for me. I think it will be Omar Vizquel in 2020. I'd look at Beltran or Ibanez though as well.
You are not correct here. His option is still for $4.65 million. The nerve repositioning surgery that he had does not count as a UCL injury that would turn his option into a minimum salary.
