  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 02:07 PM) Don't worry, his source was NickyMitch93. Much better than raBBit, for sure. That Nicky Mitch is full of crap
  2. QUOTE (Saufley @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Who's idea was it to bat him second? RV? It was a good idea. He was their best hitter. That gives him the most plate appearances
  3. If I had to guess I'd still say: WhiteSox/Cespedes, Upton/Angels, Orioles/Davis, Giants/Fowler
  4. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 11:34 AM) And the Cards get one of those bogus "market comp" picks too I think. There's your "cardinal way." As soon as Kennedy and Upton sign, the Sox move back two spots as well. They are technically 29 right now.
  5. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 07:50 AM) Only those who cheated the game. They do not deserrve the fame. I disagree. You have absolutely no idea who cheated the game and who didn't. There are people in there currently who have cheated the game most likely.
  6. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 10:31 AM) Watch Hahn surprise everyone and trade for CarGo. They don't have the pieces for CarGo.
  7. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 10:13 AM) I bet Denver resigns Wolfe and Miller. They are going to have a ton of cap room with Manning leaving. Have you looked at their cap and # of free agents? They have to sign Osweiler if they want him as well.
  8. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 10:03 AM) If they f*** this up by going on the cheap, good luck drawing this season. No f***ing chance. How are they being cheap though? Dumbasses on twitter are criticizing the Sox too. It's just stupid. If Gordon went back to KC for 4 years and $72 million that means he likely wouldn't have come to Chicago for 4 years and $80 million anyway which is the max that the White Sox should have offered to a 32 year old player. Relax people. Just because he stayed in KC doesn't mean the White Sox did something wrong.
  9. If the Sox can lock up Cespedes, it's actually not a terrible thing. Get to keep the draft pick and still upgrade the team. Also, the Royals signing Gordon basically pushes Hosmer and Cain out of town before long.
  10. If the White Sox indeed offered more money, there's not much else they could do. He wanted to stay.
  11. http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/160109/ This is Baseball America's College Top 100 1. AJ Puk LHP Florida 2. Alec Hansen RHP Oklahoma 3. Corey Ray OF Louisville 4. 12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 11:21 PM) I disagree, at least on Houston anyway. Houston lined up as a linebacker on 80% of his snaps in Oakland, and it's what got him paid. I think people forget that. I also seem to remember him grading out as one of the best against the run in Oakland as well. Yeah I wouldn't run either guy out of town. Neither of them make much money. Unless you can get like a 4th or 5th for either guy, there's no reason to release them.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 09:36 PM) Why do you all like Derek Wolfe so much? He's a good player. John Fox loves him. And he's the most likely free agent signing of all the guys available in my opinion
  14. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) Is the Hall of Fame significantly flawed? Yes. Is the Hall of Fame an irrelevant joke? No. It's a HOF without some of the best players to ever play the game. It's a joke.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) By excluding Bonds the person and player, you aren't excluding Bonds' achievements. You aren't pretending his doesn't exist. You are very clearly saying that Barry Bonds the player didn't merit inclusion into the HOF for whatever reason it was. Unless the HOF sets new standards, it has always been this way. Bonds is a better guy than Ty Cobb was
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 02:17 PM) Desmond King coming back for his senior year at Iowa. His mom wants him to be the first graduate of the family. Now if Drew Ott can somehow get a medical redshirt, Iowa may be pissing off Cowherd again next season. I hope he doesn't get hurt.
  17. The Hall of Fame is an irrelevant joke.
  18. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 12:59 PM) Oh and an email response from everyone's favorite lawyer... https://www.yahoo.com/tv/making-murderer-pr...-233447676.html And this is the filmmakers' rebuttal to Kratz. http://www.thewrap.com/making-a-murderer-f...-his-own-facts/
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 01:19 PM) People are really gullible. That guy's job is to get a guilty verdict. The documentary was spun to be highly in favor of the defense. It was completely one-sided. All of his points are completely accurate and had they been shared in the documentary, no one would be upset that Avery is in jail. The *67 s*** alone implicates Avery pretty well in my book. This is not true. Regardless of whether he did it or not, they didn't present enough evidence to convict him. That's the problem.
  20. 4 pages about a rumor that isn't even a rumor. Nicky Mitch is full of s***.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 10:57 AM) Wait, the Browns hired Jonah Hill? I actually really like this move. Paul DePodesta is a smart guy and isn't only analytics based. I could see Chip Kelly working there now actually.....
  22. On the Today Show this morning, the filmmakers said that one of the jurors admitted that they believed that Avery was indeed framed but handed down the Guilty verdict because of fear for their well being in that county. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/making-murde...WQDBHNlYwNzYw--
  23. I can't tweet from work but Bruce Feldman just tweeted this: Mike Leach's 2000 Texas Tech Staff: Art Briles, Dana Holgorsen, Sonny Dykes, Dava Aranda, Chance Ruffin, Kliff Kingsbury, Sonny Cumbie, R. Anae, and Clay McGuire. That's nuts.
  24. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 06:39 PM) Am I the only person who loves Django? Django Unchained was phenomenal. I'm with you.
  25. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 1, 2016 -> 05:05 PM) I am talking legally. Legally, there was undoubtedly sufficient evidence. And 12 jurors, who heard all the evidence in its entirety, found that he was guilty. Not one juror who actually voted found reasonable doubt. That is pretty convincing to me. How nobody thought that there was "reasonable doubt" is absurd though. Do I think that the police orchestrated the whole thing? No. I don't know "beyond a reasonable doubt" that they didn't though.
