QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 25, 2015 -> 08:56 AM) Those players could always resign with their respective teams. Can't always assume (Iwakuma) I'm going to go ahead and assume that Upton and Kennedy don't go back to San Diego.
-
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Dec 25, 2015 -> 12:10 AM) No, the Sox as of this point in time have 27th pick in the draft. And it should get higher as more players sign. Yes, technically they do. But when Upton and Kennedy sign, the Sox will move back 2 spots. They have the 3rd pick in the comp round if Upton/Kennedy sign with other teams.
-
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 24, 2015 -> 08:26 PM) If Daniel Murphys contract is finalized that moves Sox up to 27 pick http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/12/upda...medium=facebook No it doesn't really though. San Diego will still receive 2 picks before the Sox. Counting that, they pick at #29.

QUOTE (peavy44 @ Dec 24, 2015 -> 05:46 PM) Cespedes goes to RF. Cespedes only wants to play LF.
-
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 24, 2015 -> 05:35 PM) 27 now with the signing of Daniel Murphy. This isn't correct. San Diego will have 2 picks (Upton, Kennedy) in front of White Sox. Sox currently sit at #29 with Murphy signing. Iwakuma going back to Seattle didn't help.

This is awesome. Now I don't have to have nightmares about KW signing him to play SS anymore.
-
QUOTE (black jack @ Dec 24, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) My preference is Gordon to CWS and Cespedes to CWS. So then the team would have 4 LF's?

Die Hard is #1. Bad Santa is great too. Christmas Vacation, Elf, Home Alone also good.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 23, 2015 -> 06:43 PM) Noah expiring and we also send pick. It's Sacramento. Boston and Miami can both offer more than the Bulls can for Cousins. I'd love Cousins and would trade anyone on the roster for him but I think Boston has the inside track if he's really available.

Sands is a guy that has some value to take a free look at. Nothing more. He could make the team as a bench player and spell LaRoche vs LHP. It is not a precursor to another move nor does it mean anything about Garcia or another big name OF signing. It's a waiver claim.
-
If they sign one of these OF's, Shuck doesn't really have a spot. They need a RH hitting OF that can push Melky to DH vs LHP.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Dec 23, 2015 -> 11:48 AM) I'd be curious to see what would happen if you developed a genuine superstar the likes of A-Rod, Jeter, Trout or Harper on the club. A nationally recognized superstar. Pair that with a WS championship and the Sox could give them a run. But not right now. The cubs have an exciting young team. And at the end of the day, that's actually good for the game. Who knows, if they were a s*** team maybe the Sox aren't as aggressive. So someone like Frank Thomas?

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 22, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) Butler is better than Leonard in my opinion. Nah. He's just not.
-
QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 22, 2015 -> 03:57 PM) you beat me to this, i too saw concussion. however i really, really like the movie. it is well worth seeing and that is all i am going to say, b/c of the spoilers. Spoilers? It's not a new story lol
-
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 22, 2015 -> 03:16 PM) Actually yes, I think he could be. No chance. Butler is Robin. If he's your best player, you can't win a championship.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 21, 2015 -> 11:00 PM) I was at the game tonight and it's absolutely disappointing. Jimmy is the man and the rest of the team outside of Doug and Taj are absolute trash. And if Jimmy is the man, you are firmly in basketball hell.

Robert Brender @robertbrender 47m47 minutes ago The Yoenis Cespedes market is picking up according to Richard Justice and Jerry Crasnick.Giants, O's, White Sox and Angels are possibilities

QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 21, 2015 -> 04:49 PM) Nobody has a chance. Say what you want about the Democrats, they know how to dominate Presidential elections. Hillary is a lock. Bernie is playing nice so he can be the VEEP. He'd actually be pretty perfect. People have heard of him and he's kind of boring. He'd fit in perfectly in that role of standing up for Hilly. I tell you, Obama is pretty likeable and he couldn't work with Congress. Good luck to Hillary. Those Repubs aren't going to want to help her out AT ALL. Nobody has a chance because you have to be a legitimate crazy person to win over the far right of the party.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 20, 2015 -> 12:16 AM) How many season ticket holders who were at best on the fence a month ago about renewing are now back in the fold? That's the key question. Next season is probably a wash in ST sales though, right? They'll get a slight attendance bump if they are good and then hope to pick up some in 2017 and 2018.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 19, 2015 -> 11:23 PM) What is your problem? Anything goes in the Filibuster. I'm sick of being called a troll BTW. I have never ever called anybody a name on here. I take hits all the time. It's like you are not allowed to call anybody names unless his name is Greg. Hitler speak? Cmon. Trump is a successful American businessman, not Hitler for gosh sakes. Hitler speak? Cmon. That's pretty rude. Trump has made it big in America and maybe he'll get the economy turned around. You know a lot of people don't like Hilly's personality either. She may hide it better but it's been well documented what kind of person she is. Not pretty. Where there's smoke there's fire and people who have worked for Hilly despise Hilly. Don't act like she is a stellar person and Trump a total chump. As far as your final point about the 2 percent. How the heck do you know Trump wants to keep the little guy poor? Again ... his main competition, Hillary isn't exactly poor. Bottom line? Trump at least doesn't try to hide his brash personality. Hillary is just as brash. Have you read the stuff she's said to the lowly people who worked under her and to secret service agents? My current faves: 1.) Trump. 2.) Bernie. 3.) Carson. So he's a bigoted, ignorant, lunatic but since he's upfront about it it's fine?

QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 19, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) but that is the main point, the sox had that chance and blew it, to take over the chi media, if they would have continue to have won. there is no way chi becomes a sox town other than more WS winning. but for now, every move, every win, every success will be looked at thru those sCrubbie blue glasses. It was never going to be a Sox town.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 19, 2015 -> 05:26 PM) It was SportsTalk Live, and it was the guy that also predicted the Bears are going to release Cutler next season and Sign Peyton Manning to a 1 year deal. Haha oh my lord. Who is that? Jason Goch? That guy says dumb s***.

Cara Maria does it for me man. That being said, Abram is gonna f***ing murder someone.

QUOTE (Lillian @ Dec 19, 2015 -> 05:06 PM) Jackson's OBP has really declined, the last two years; .311 and .308. I'd rather just play Shuck Eaton and Upton, if Melky is moved to DH. I read that it will take at least $15-18 million for a couple of seasons to lock him up. Remember, he is a Boras client. I didn't check to see if he received a Q. O., which is another consideration. Jackson didn't receive a QO and wasn't eligible for one. Shuck is also LH though which doesn't really solve anything.
-
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 19, 2015 -> 04:53 PM) If we moved LaRoche I wouldn't mind signing Cespedes and Jackson. Improve the defense in the outfield: Eaton Jackson Cespedes Even if they don't move LaRoche. Jackson or someone like him could be the 4th OF.
