  1. Here’s the international preview: https://soxmachine.com/2023/01/2022-2023-white-sox-international-signing-preview/
  2. Christian Saez and Raul Alvarez seem to be the most interesting. Francys Romero is a great follow
  3. There are multiple guys available or close to being available Preview should publish tomorrow. I don’t know much. 6 names. Luis Reyes has to be $1 million plus. His profile is very interesting. Alvarez is $300K and Uribe is $200K. RHP Luis Danys Morales is signing for like $3.5 million with Oakland. Sox offered him $2.5 million and said they’d trade for more space too accommodate. So they have at least $2.5 million
  4. I understand what you're saying but this is much different. Ramos will be in AA. Sosa already destroyed AA. Rodriguez will likely be in Charlotte. Many have been successful and have been matriculating to the high minors. This is much different than it's been in quite some time
  5. Haha yeah. Sox love him. His name is pronounced Chap-aye-ee. It sneaks up on you.
  6. We stopped recording and I asked about Ryan Burrowes. BA loves him as do the Sox. He’s finishing up his schooling in Panama and heading to Arizona. He had good things about Arnold Prado and Godwin Bennett too. I wish we were still recording.
  7. Oh I don’t think anyone is penciling them in. A lot has to go right but they do have a bunch of talent. They absolutely can win the division. I don’t know that they’ll be considered favorites to do so though. There are better teams than them for sure. The best team in baseball finishes with the best record after 162. The winner of the tournament wins the World Series though. This year, the best team won the title. Philadelphia got there though. Atlanta won it in 2021. It happens. Get into the playoffs, variance sets in, professional athletes get hot and anything can happen because it’s such a small sample.
  8. Nah man. If the Sox were in the AL East, I wouldn’t consider them contenders. They are in the Central though. Win the division, make the playoffs and anything can happen.
  9. So Longenhagen goes by Future Value. I just think a 50 FV reliever isn’t the same thing as a 50 FV outfielder. He does
  10. If the White Sox are AL Central contenders, they’re also World Series contenders. It’s the nature of the sport. Win the division, get into the tournament and see what happens.
  11. There's no world in which he's a top 10 prospect in the Sox system
  12. Yep. Semien is a great comp.
  13. I like Sosa better because I believe in the swing changes that have created power. Rodriguez could end up the better player for sure but he's more volatile due to the approach at the plate. I think both are big leaguers though.
  14. I just don’t believe in ranking definite relievers that high Colas write up was surprising based on what we saw. People still haven’t adjusted to Sosa’s swing changes either. Ryan Burrowes is a name to watch.
  15. Yeah it doesn’t make much sense
  16. We recorded a podcast with Bill Mitchell that will drop next Tuesday and it's pretty informative with info from instructs. He raved about Schultz and the pitching in general is much better with some real sleepers that have been signed internationally.
  17. I’d be stunned if this occurred. Hendriks might be their best trade asset. They could get a really good prospect haul. They aren’t trading Liam Hendriks for James Fucking McCann. What are we doing? I believe in trading relievers at their peak and if the White Sox choose to do that, I just don’t see the Mets as the destination. 2/29 isn’t a hindrance. It’s a bargain for one of the best relievers in baseball.
  18. Do the Angels think he’s allowed to play at Great American Ballpark still?
  19. I feel like you’re underrating Hendriks. 2/29 for one of the best relievers in baseball is a bargain McCann should be free
