  1. If he starts at Schaumburg over Memorial Day weekend, I’ll be there
  2. Could go lots of directions. It could depend on what they want to do later. If they think they can get Ryan Clifford at 62 for like $2 million, it could influence what they do in round 1.
  3. I’m writing him up now. Solid signing this late in the game. He defected with 12 others from Mexico last year. Sox had like $850K still because of their failed deal with RHP Angel Cruz. Also, the Sox offered Luis Danys Morales $2.5 million for next period. He’s taking over $3 million from Oakland instead. I’d heard that Sox were confident they could acquire more money in January but the player settled on Oakland. It’s significant because $2.5 million is all the White Sox have available in the next period due to pre deals. I’m wondering if some of the others who defected with Chapelli are coming as well in January.
  4. Yep. You have to be 76 years or older to manage the White Sox
  5. The White Sox have the 3rd smallest pool for the 2022 Draft. It didn't have to be this way. I wrote about why it could've been different and offered up some first round possibilities here: https://soxmachine.com/general/white-soxs-paltry-mlb-draft-bonus-pool-a-result-of-unsound-priorities/
  6. Colas injury minor from what I’ve been told. Should be back this weekend hopefully. Also, we talked to Andy Barkett for Tuesday’s podcast. New minor league hitting coordinator. I think he’s already paying dividends with some of the performances this year. There seems to finally be an org wide hitting plan which is positive.
  7. I believe he’s in extended spring
  8. The White Sox have been all over Roman Anthony this spring.
  9. I just think when you’re trying to win a title, Bryan Ramos’ inclusion in a deal shouldn’t be the hold up.
  10. This would be an ideal outcome imo.
  11. Marco Paddy is well respected but the strategy is often poor as we've both noted numerous times. I think the White Sox will do an awesome job once there's an international draft. What do you think about that?
  12. I wrote about the additions to the international class and their strategy: https://soxmachine.com/futuresox/latest-international-class-comes-into-focus-for-the-white-sox/
  13. Nobody really does but he isn’t signing for what Sox have left. It would be for next year
  14. I wonder why Tatum is in Kannapolis?
  15. The White Sox should have like $890K remaining. I'm trying to find out what Angel Cruz was supposed to get.
  16. Yeah. Miguel Tejada's son.
  17. I didn’t have Rodriguez or Mendez. They have money left though which is obviously an issue. They planned on signing RHP Angel Cruz for a fairly significant amount but he failed a drug test. Not sure if that’s why.
  18. I doubt it. Slot there is like $3 million and I doubt any of those guys would be under.
  19. One of the injured guys you think? I'm not sure anyone healthy will be there.
  20. He could be the extra guy for the DH. I don't think there's anyone else on the 40-man haha
  21. Well they signed like 4 players that I know of haha. Should still have like $1 million from my records so I’m curious to read this.
  22. Jim Callis talks about this on the FutureSox podcast tomorrow
  23. I'm not sure he's a top 100 prospect. Montgomery, Colas and Jose Rodriguez are all better than he is in my opinion so that would give the Sox 4 top 100 prospects. I'd just be very surprised to see Ramos jump those guys. If there's any chance that Ramos ends up at first base (and there is), they should try to headline a trade package with him.
  24. Data team will take him high. Gabriel Hughes and Campbell might be the top 2 college starters off the board. None in the top 10 is my guess right now
