Garrett Guest is high up at a Jeep Dealership and he’s Sox assistant director. People implied that Harold was Guest or at least knew him. It’s just fucking uncalled for regardless.

2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/Roch the House
Y2Jimmy0 replied to caulfield12's topic in FutureSox Board
7th as was said already. Exactly SS2K. Large market clubs can only have a top 6 pick every other year. Small market clubs can’t 3 years in a row. But since the 3 worst teams are guaranteed to pick no later than 7-9, it pushes the ineligible teams to 10 and beyond. -
I really miss Harold. Was really helpful for me and informative. I think fucking losers on this site finally chased him away. It’s a real shame if so.

2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/Roch the House
Y2Jimmy0 replied to caulfield12's topic in FutureSox Board
A new record would still be significantly under slot. #1 slot will be like $11.5 million next year. Biggest bonus ever is $9.2 million. They could give him $10 million, demolish the record and save $1.5 -
It's pretty rare for true college shortstops to end up going because those guys generally get chosen out of high school. Phil Fox has always been a bullpen arm.
-
You need to ignore the rounds essentially and look at the draft by bonuses. The Rhode Island hitter in the 7th plus the 9th and 10th rounders are seniors. Those guys are priority senior signs with some value but once bonus pools come out, I’m guessing those are really their 18th,19th and 20th picks.
-
I think Uli Fernsler or Brandon Shannon is more likely but Fisher would be awesome
-
It’s an important thing. If guys don’t give a s%*#, it’s tough to become really good in most cases.
-
Sounds like this will be a prep arm at 106
-
He’s #2 overall at BA. He’ll be the #1 prospect in baseball as soon as Roman Anthony graduates
-
Same concerns about Mississippi were said regarding Konnor Griffin and he’s the #1 prospect in baseball now

Booser returned from 15-day IL, optioned to AAA
Y2Jimmy0 replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He’s only optioned because it’s the All Star break. I’m sure he’ll be back after -

I remember when Luis Alexander Basabe hit a 3 run homer in the Futures Game. Yeah he went to Cressey supposedly.
-
I think Gamble might be able to play CF
-
He also had them taking Wake Forest outfielder Ethan Conrad at 44. These would be favorable outcomes. I think Sean Gamble would be the pick if he’s on the board and he is in this scenario. Turley and Ligenza both have plus power,
-
Yeah it’s totally fair. I wasn’t trying to justify anything. Hagen Smith is a really good prospect though and ownership will never pay for guys like that. I still would’ve taken a bat though.
-
Well the top part was my opinion. The second part wasn't. Smith was their top guy.
-
I’d be shocked by Jace at this point. I think Kilen and Houston were the college bats referenced by Shirley I don’t think anyone with those strikeout numbers has ever translated. He reminds me of Jeren Kendall
-
I don’t believe that Jace LaViolette is in the Sox mix at 10.
-
It’s not about the best player available in baseball. It’s about maximizing the bonus pool space and getting as much talent as possible for the finite amount of funds afforded. Chris Getz thought Hagen Smith would be a front of the rotation starter (still very possible) and he trusted the orgs pitching development to maximize that player. He thought it was a better idea than Konnor Griffin (swing change) and Jac Caglianone (corner profile, chase rate) etc. The White Sox had no hitting infrastructure in place yet and Ryan Fuller was still employed by the Orioles. The medical team also red flagged JJ Wetherholt. I would’ve taken Konnor Griffin.
-
They're picking in a weird. It just depends on the craziness in front of them. None of these players are worth the slot values so teams will be deal hunting early. He didn't. Best player on the board though.
-
I think they'd take Steele Hall in this scenario.
-
I don’t think they’re interested in Bremner. He doesn’t get any extension. Not their type. For any player who submitted medicals, teams have to go 75% of slot value. Sox slot is $6.2 million. They could do Schoolcraft for like $4.5ish million but that’s the lowest. He’s not in their mix at 10 according to the scouting director. I have no idea what Bauer’s number is.
