He’s going to the Rockies but in next year’s class. Colas is waiting. He supposedly has $2.5 million next year if he waits. The Sox seem likely but that’s a long time from now.

Garrett Richards to Boston, 1 year $10 million.

Jerry Reinsdorf owns the team -
He's waiting

Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout

No shot. Don't believe anything sports executives say publicly. -
He was. And the White Sox starting catcher was #2
-
Gil is actually an interesting guy. Similar to Cristian Mena who they signed last year.

Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout

Not insinuating anything. Tomorrow is the deadline though so resolution on contract is coming -

FWIW: Harold told me this yesterday afternoon. There’s no reason to question his info. -
I still think signing a free agent is more likely but Corbin Burnes is definitely a “target”. Probably expensive though
-
Right team. Wrong pitcher

Foodies: Sox/Giolito discussing an extension?????
Y2Jimmy0 replied to Jack Parkman's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Not really sure. I just know they're talking. -
Yeah maybe. It won't happen with one of those guys though.
-
If it's a package including Madrigal, Corbin Burnes is my guess. The White Sox have always loved him. I'd do Madrigal, Stiever and Heuer for Burnes in a heartbeat. I'd be interested in Musgrove as well but not for that package.
-
Not really. Always on his terms.
-
They’ve seen him a bunch physically in last year. He made it clear that from a baseball standpoint, he’s not far away. He needs to assimilate culturally though and learn how to play every day. The grind is a bigger issue. I’d bet he goes to Winston-Salem

Old: Mega Hendriks Speculation Thread
Y2Jimmy0 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Most of those options are waiting for Hendriks to sign. That’s how this goes. -
Not sure. He’s the type of profile Dipoto likes. Not sure. I know Heuer has been discussed in talks in general. I’m not really sure what exactly it’d be. Just threw a package out there. Gonzales is really good and cheap
-
Not sure. I’m fairly confident the White Sox can develop another Heuer though regardless
-
I’d think like Madrigal, Stiever and Heuer probably gets you Gonzales. I’d rather just sign Quintana
-
Marco Gonzales likely costs Madrigal and two other pieces in a deal. It’s a great contract.

Dodgers sign Bauer (3/102, opt-outs, 40-45-17)
Y2Jimmy0 replied to Jose Abreu's topic in The Diamond Club
I think so. They only have $100 million committed for 2022 though -

They’ve indicated that they’re already pretty much tapped out. I think he goes to LAD -
Old: Mega Hendriks Speculation Thread

The Codify stuff is real. Hendriks loves the company and attributes much of his success to them. Not sure how much the White Sox want it out there but they're probably the most Codify friendly team in the sport currently. Yasmani Grandal and Lucas Giolito love it. Keuchel uses it now too and McCann will likely turn the Mets onto it. It's a big deal to Hendriks. Hopefully it helps. -
It doesn’t make sense. Players aren’t accepting 140 games unless they get paid for 162. The owners have no leg to stand on. The only way spring training gets delayed is if local governments in AZ and FL shut down spring training and that seems very unlikely.
-
Giolito, Lynn and Keuchel don’t like pitching on 5 days rest. We don’t have to complicate this
