    The Sale plan doesn’t make sense for him because he has no innings base. If they think he’s a starter, he should be starting. If he’s in the big league bullpen all year, I’d bet that he’s never a starter. He needs innings. I doubt he gets 100 pitching out of big league bullpen.

    I honestly don’t think spring training gets delayed. The owners want to because they don’t want to pay players salaries without fans. They really have no leg to stand on. Unless the federal government or local governments in Arizona and Florida don’t allow spring training, it’ll start on time. Evan Drellich of The Athletic just wrote about it. All this means is, big league guys, NRI and AAA guys will be at ST. AA and under comes in after they depart and season starts late and runs into October. Small town USA will absolutely have fans in the stands. None of these businesses will survive otherwise.

    I think every team now sees the benefits of an alternate site type thing. The only issue would be having enough staff. I’ll be curious to see what the org does with the Great Falls staff

    100%. Tony has been active, vocal and recruiting like crazy. He’s a big reason why coaching staff is so solid, Lynn is here and he’ll be a big reason why Hendriks is here if they sign him too.

    This is good. Means resolution should come soon with him. Sox will either get him or move on to other targets but at least it's moving.

    They can’t really force anything though. They have no leg to stand on unless there are local ordinances in Florida or Arizona banning play which doesn’t seem likely. It’s all there in Drellich’s article

    Evan Drellich basically said it's scheduled and the only way it won't happen on time is if Florida and Arizona governments don't allow it which seems unlikely.

    Yeah thanks for the history lesson. I’m aware that forearm soreness is a precursor to Tommy John in most cases. Crochet never actually had an elbow injury though.

    Dodgers are still better. They also aren't done and only have $100 million committed for 2022 They aren't the same though. Their system is much better and deeper. They get extra draft picks. They have an owner that cares about winning who lets his GM spend internationally and draft prep players every year. It must be nice.

    Who in the AL has a better roster than the White Sox today? I'd argue nobody at the moment. Of course you want to be as good as possible. The goal is to win the damn division every year though. That gets you in the tournament and gives you a shot to win it all. Why do we care so much about the 2nd best team in the NL West? It's nauseating.

    Sonny Gray would be an awesome addition. No idea on price though. He's owed $10 million per (which is nothing) but Reds are trying to slash payroll. Maybe the Sox take back Barnhart too? If you can headline with Jared Kelley, I'd do it. There's no way Kopech/Vaughn will be involved though.
