Okay so here's the thing. I saw some confusion yesterday and I'll try to clear it up. I think the White Sox are more likely to trade for pitching if they get an impact guy. They're absolutely interested in George Springer. Will they get him? I have no idea. I'm not sure how soon he even wants to sign but I think the White Sox are approaching it the same way they did with Grandal. Whether it works or not will be determined later I guess. It's insane the number of fake/insider accounts out there right now. It won't dissuade anyone but I've never needed a nonsense account. I just post from mine. I also run the FutureSox one sometimes and one for the track and field team I coach. I don't have time for another account and if I did, it wouldn't be as clever. The Portillos one actually has some solid intel if you go back to last year which is strange. I think everyone should be patient but I know that won't happen.

On Friday, the White Sox need to add players to the 40-man in order to protect them from the Rule 5 Draft. Jake Burger, Gavin Sheets, Tyler Johnson and Will Kincanon are the most likely. You didn’t. The point is every team makes mistakes in free agency. If the owner doesn’t like Grandal though, he’s the issue. One of the best players at his position in the sport. I’ll never understand the hate. The biggest issue with the White Sox has been and always will be Jerry Reinsdorf. That was my point.

Well there’s very little margin for error when the frugal owner operates as he does. Doesn’t play at top of free agent market, doesn’t spend on 16 year old international talent, doesn’t spend money on prep players in round 1, etc. Fuck Jerry Reinsdorf. Nobody should feel bad for him.

I just feel like it’s not the same. A 4 year deal for $100 million or so for Springer is a better play than getting in a bidding war for Bauer. Makes sense to me. Just my opinion though

Like I've said, I have no reason to use a burner. There's nothing stopping me from reporting what I think I've heard credibly. That account is either really good and stealing info or knows someone though because I've heard lots of those same things over time.
